DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR OR OFFICE. This is a terrible derm office with a lying, deceiving and manipulative doctor, Dr. Amy L. Brodsky. I am writing this review to warn potential patients of the scam they are running here. I set my very first Derm appointment ever, (I was 17) with this office to try and treat my teen acne. I am a college student and money is tight to say the least. I told the doctor of my financial situation and how I only wanted the cheapest treatments possible, or no treatments to save money and if she just had advice for me. She told me not to worry, and that she would take care of me. After my initial sit down with her to explain my skin concerns, she brought me into the room where a nurse was to provide the products the doc recommended. In front of me, she tells the nurse, "I chose to only give her inexpensive products, shes on a tight budget and we want to help her out a bit." The nurse then gave me a list of products they were going to sell to me and told me how and when to use them. (Note: The doctor also prescribed me birth control, which I told her NOT to because of the side effects it can have.) Anyway, the nurse then tells me to head up to the front desk where I can purchase the various creams, lotions, and face wash/body scrubs the doc had said I needed. The total bill came out to 300 dollars. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS. I got 5 products. Four of the products were "The Derm" brand products. One face wash, a body scrub, one face lotion and an in shower cleanser. The fifth product was a bottle of Vanicream Body lotion which she told me was the least expensive item. They sold it to me for $45 dollars. To my dismay, after I got home from my appointment, my older sister told me that that is NOT how Derm offices are supposed to run. They dont sell you items like that from the cabinet next to their desk. They are supposed to give you a list of items to go buy yourself. Sure enough, a week later, I found the same exact Vanicream product they sold me for $45, at Walgreens for $9. And the products they sold me that were their brand were bottled in generic white bottles with a tacky "The Derm" label slapped on them (sloppily I might add; some were literally crooked) So I have no idea what the products in the bottles actually were. NO SURPRISE, THE PRODUCTS DIDNT EVEN WORK. After three months I STILL saw no improvements in my skin, and in fact, everything seemed to irritate my skin and make it worse. This doctor should not be in business, I dont know how she still has her license. This office is full of money hungry people who take advantage of their clients. I had never been to a derm, I didnt know any better and I was vulnerable because I just wanted clear skin. Dr. Amy Brodsky also enjoyed making me wait for an hour and a half in the examination room, (AFTER I already waited an additional 30 minutes in the lobby), before she came in and pretended to know what shes doing. There was only me and one other patient at the time. Why the heck did I have to wait so long?! I dont know. All I know is that I would advise anyone and everyone to stay away from this doctor and office. Save your money and go elsewhere. Best of luck!

I have been a patient of Dr. Brodskys for 9 years and let me just say I LOVE her and the Derm staff. I started my skin care journey at this office and have never been disappointed. I first came in to the Derm with some acne issues and Dr. Brodsky was very professional, explained causes of my acne with excellent bedside manners, and offered me the option of different products to treat my skin. She even offered guidance on how I should use some of the products I already have at home so I could save a few bucks. The Doctor and her staff showed me the products they had at the office and I never felt forced to buy them. I did start off with some of Doctor Brodskys products and noticed such a difference in my skin. Now they are all I use! I come to Dr. Brodsky with every skin issue and for cosmetic procedures, always leaving pleased after. Her staff has always been friendly the minute I walk through the door and it is obvious they treat their patients as a first priority (hence why I have been a patient for 9 years!). You can’t walk through that office without a staff member greeting you! Dr. Brodsky and the Derm staff make coming in such an enjoyable experience. I get excited to make appointments at the Derm and to see Dr. Brodsky and her staff. I always get told I have such great skin and I instantly bring up Dr. Brodskys name and practice. I have referred EVERYONE I know. I wouldn’t have been able to get such beautiful skin without Dr. Brodsky and her team.

I have been seeing Dr. Brodsky for several years for adult acne. As a teen, I never had acne and was fortunate enough to have a peaches and cream complexion. As an adult, I was not as fortunate. Dr. Brodsky is a good listener. She is very open to listening to your questions. She is also very thorough, and is happy to make suggestions/recommendations regarding skin care. I have been to her Park Ridge and Glenview offices. However, I prefer the Glenview office as the waiting room area is more spacious. Plus, parking is free and very easy (not so much in Park Ridge). Dr. Brodsky has excellent people skills. Her facility offers an array of services (from adult acne to freezing away your belly fat to fillers, Botox, etc.). Their staff are all professional and courteous, which I appreciate.

Dr. Brodsky is absolutely amazing! I have been a patient of hers for years and years. I have had to have skin checks regularly because of issues… I am a big baby about anything to do with needles and I have to say-Dr. Brodsky and all of her staff make me feel so comfortable every time. I actually drive 1.5 hours to her office because of the great skilled care I receive. The office is very professional and friendly. They are also very involved in teaching and spreading the word about protecting our children from sun damage. I wish I had known this when I was a child. I trust and highly recommend The Derm and Dr. Brodsky.

Dr. Brodsky does not only have excellent credentials but shows her true talent on handling her patients with extra care. Whenever there is a problem or concern she is available to answer all my questions. She speaks to me person to person not just The Derm to patient. Due to having a severe rash from the lake I was swimming in, her quick response kept me from being extremely uncomfortable for days. Thanks to Dr. Amy Brodsky she not only improved my skin care but my childrens skin care also. Thank you for all your assistance these past years.

This group just is exactly what previous review stated. Money hungry and way overpriced and wish I had seen review before I was sent there for biopsy which was ALL I needed. Next think I knew multiple freezes that ended up costing 400 dollars that was my responsibility. I guess thats how you pay for advertising. Bottom line be very careful and before you know what your costs will be. I live in Arizona and fees for very highly regarded derms ar at least 70%less and why Im sure the Blue Cross people wont come close to covering the inflated costs.
