I have a degree in Zoology And Ive had many pets since I began going (in 2000) to the caring and highly competent doctors at kindness animal hospital. There are two "regular" vets, both equally good: Dr. Geoffrey Jarbeau and Dr. Susan Rosenblatt. Theres also a top notch surgeon although I dare say all three can handle most things. Whats particularly great is that they have better than average access to diagnostic equipment, most on site. Easy parking right out front, and hundreds more spaces across the street in front of CVS and Petco. Theres a second door if your pet gets upset in general waiting rooms, that takes you right in to an exam room. Unfortunately Ive had to end the lives of several pets here and I can say its a far better spot for this than elsewhere, partly because of the wonderful vet techs. They light a special candle in the waiting room to alert other clients that "someone is grieving" Its much cheaper than other practices, obviously cheaper than Angell and Vescon, but also cheaper than vets nearer to me in Cushing Square Belmont. Theres even a great boarding place right next door! Wow, if my pet were sick and I had to leave town, I know where I would board them. Like all vets they overcharge on tick remedies but are very happy to help you purchase medicine online. No stink eye here! Do yourself and your pets, yes even chinchillas and ferrets, a favor and come to Kindness. No I dont work here, I just feel strongly that there are differences in vet care, many are burned out doing dogs and cats over and over, too many can be abrupt about hours and prices, and when you find someone good, speak up!

IF I COULD GIVE ANYTHING UNDER ONE STAR I WOULD. Been going to Kindness for 17 years. When Dr Bigman owned it he was so kind and compassionate and took care of my dogs wonderfully well... and was nice to people. When he sold it to Dr Rosenblatt it has turned completely and totally into a money driven enterprise. So sad. On two separate occiaisions I had some issues with my Lab Ret that were unnerving and potentially serious. BOTH TIMES THEY WERE "TOO BUSY" and I was told to take her to the ermergency facility.....and while it is true that at the emergency facility they meet you at the door, it is to get your credit card up front and fast. On the 2nd time they had no openings for one of thier patients at Kindness BUT could see me and charge me for an "emergency" visit.... READ $$$$$$ signs here. It appears from what I can see that they have launched a campaign not to improve but to have thier shills post rave reviews. Stay away and hold on to your wallet when you drive by.

They work with the kennel, they almost killed my cat in 5 days. Its a diabetic cat, they never tested his glycemic control, then they did all the possible bloodwork in a 16yo cat, but they were not able to save him, so they brought him to the ER. At the end I spent 1500$ for nothing, it was enough to hydrate him and do insulin... after one day we pick him up and now he feels great as before bringing him there. The answer to our complaint was: " you want to have an old sick cat... so you have to pay these money to take care of him...." THIS IS NOT PROFESSIONAL AND IS SOMETHING SAID BY PEOPLE WHO DONT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS, BUT ONLY ABOUT MONEY.

Ive been taking my very feisty and somewhat aggressive male cat, Tyson, to Dr. Geoff Jarbeau at Kindness for 2 years (since he was a feisty and aggressive kitten). Dr. Jarbeau is extremely professional, always gives you multiple choices for treatment, takes the time to explain everything in detail, and answers any and all questions you have. He has also put up with my cats aggressive behavior every time we visit with a smile and unlimited patience which speaks volumes for him as not only a veterinarian but also as a person in my book. In short, he is an amazing vet and I wouldnt take my cat anywhere else!

Brought my cat in for a sore she was licking at. Turns out it was more than just a sore. They knew exactly what to do, and within a week she was all better. They dont push unnecessary shots, vaccinations, or meds on your pet, and they dont try to force you to come in for more appointments than you need. It was like, "were 90% sure its this, try this and this, if its not better within two weeks, come back and well try this". So friendly, and super knowledgeable. I will certainly continue to come to these vets.

I was nervous taking my elderly cat to a new vet for a check up. In the past, vets have attempted to upsell me on my kitties, pushing numerous tests ect. Kindness is a small, welcoming, clinic. We received prompt attention and treatment and clear instructions for our first visit. Our appointment occurred right on time. Both Dr.Jarbeau and tech Allen were very gentle handling my old kitty cat and practical with respect to their suggestions. I will definitely be returning when its time for our next check up.

We went to Kindness animal hospital and met with Dr. Rosenblatt. She was a angel and I have never had a experience quite like it. The time she took with us for a dog she had just met was extraordinary, with follow up e mails that we never received from our previous vet who we thought was very good. This Dr. surpassed any previous experiences we have ever had with a veterinarian and I have never written a review for anyone or anything before.

Kindness Animal Hospital is a great animal hospital, doctors and staff! We moved from Connecticut to Waltham and checked out a few veterinary clinics - we felt the most comfortable with Kindness. Even our very shy boy and our "little" fresh calico do great at Kindness! All of the doctors are patient and seem to care without doing a lot of unnecessary treatments, etc. Definitely a gem for the City of Walthams pets!!!!

We have an older pug and used to have another pug. As you may know, pugs can be a lot of medical care -- and we have had to take them to different hospitals and vets over the years. Dr. Rosenblatt and her colleagues are by far the best, most humane and most reasonable care givers we have worked with. They are responsive, thoughtful, and have a great deal of common sense. I recommend them to you.

Kindness says it all. These folks not only practice medicine with technology, but unlike some of the larger clinics like Angell Memorial, they also employ common sense. I find that very refreshing. The doctors and staff are great and very helpful. They go out of their way to make sure they give you the very best and affordable care. Con - very small parking lot.

My husband and I took in our 8 month old Pit Bull Luna for a wellness check. Weve only had Luna for 3 weeks so we were nervous how she would do with the visit. The staff was so kind, knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, and professional. They spent an entire hour with us and answered all our questions. Our Luna felt so comfortable with the appointment!

This is by far the best place to take a sick or injured animal. my hamster was very sick, not only did the take the time to explain what was wrong they even sent me a card after she passed away. they are very loving and gentle. they are wonderfully staffed and everybody is super nice. 10 stars if i could.
