Nothing short of a miracle! I brought my 9yr old black lab in for an emergencyt his weekend. She had pyometra and needed emergency surgery. It was surgery that would cost $4500-$5300 that I just couldnt afford. After discussing this with the vet on shift he tried to work out the cost. At the end of the day it just wasnt feasible. We discussed putting my lab to sleep and thats the option I unfortunately went with. I left thinking my dog had passed. We got a call saying someone wanted to adopt my lab and cover the expenses to keep her alive. Here I was thinking she had died, but she was spared before they put her down. Nothing short of a miracle. It was an emotional rollercoaster. The vets and staff were so kind and didnt shame me for the hard decision. They understood and made me feel better in an awful situation. The fact they were able to save her life and give her to someone who could afford the surgery was amazing! My lab lives and has been sent to a caring home.

We recently brought our cat in for a urinary tract blockage. Not only were they able to diagnose what was going on over the phone, they were very efficient in making sure he received the right care and incredibly articulate and up front about the treatment and costs. I appreciated that they encouraged us to check on him and how communicative they were - I wasnt expecting visitors hours and regular phone updates! The place was very clean and modern, which isnt something you usually see in animal hospitals. We felt very prepared and comfortable when we brought him home that we knew what to do for follow up care and could call with questions.

My 15 year old cat became extremely sick and I had to bring him into the emergency vet immediately. Dr. Susan Smith guided me and my cat through this sad situation with exceptional care and compassion. More importantly, she made my cat feel comfortable and understood how loved he was. He was a feisty cat even in sickness but was so calm with her that she is obviously an excellent vet. While I will be sad about his passing for a long time, I will also always remember how Dr. Smith treated him and myself. She was wonderful. If she is representative of MSPCA-Angell West, then I definitely recommend bringing ones pet here.

This place (West branch) has warm and caring staff and kind, knowledgeable doctors! My Djungarian hamsters were sick, and I brought them to Angell West. Dr Noonan was very experienced with dwarf hamsters; he gently checked them, and quickly spotted the problems. Normally I am a pretty good observer, but I didnt notice many signs my little boys had given; I felt relieved that I brought them to Angell West, and caught the problems before too late. Just after 2 days, the one who lost weight rapidly before has gained weight!

"I was about three nights in to being a first time cat Mom when Kit, my cat was coughing a lot. I had called a local hospital and they were less than inviting so I started going on google to see who had the most reviews and the best and you guys were at the top. From the initial phone call to examination and wrap up, it was such a relief and great! You guys taught me a bit more about cats than I knew and I left feeling super comfortable! You will be our go to if heaven forbid he needed help. -Linds&Kit

Angell attended to respiratory and hookworm infections of our dog immediately on a Sunday. No follow up was required. The receptionist was courteous and friendly and checked us in immediately on Sunday morning. The vet assistant and doctor were also very helpful and knowledgeable. Our dog was fine after a couple of days of medication. Minor problems - the weighing scale was not working properly. I had to call back a week later to make sure the emergency treatment records were transmitted to my vet.

Best place to take your pet to care for especially if you have a bird. Our cockatoo broke her leg and if it was not for Dr. B.Noonan, we would have lost our bird if we had left her at the Tufts care center in North Grafton , MA. Because Marie Burneko the so called Avian specialist at Tufts wanted to amputate the leg, also saying that the broke was protruding thru the skin, which was not even close to be the case. Thank you Dr. B.Noonan for saving our Cuties leg. Best place ever!!!

Angell-West is a conveniently located extension of Angell Memorial Medical Center, offering the same excellent emergency care. Quick and excellent care of my dogs laceration, which required minor surgery/stitches. Despite difficult position of wound (elbow), dressing stayed on/up very well, with minimal chaffing. All staff members I interacted with (vet, vet-techs, receptionist) were very professional and personable. Fast, excellent emergency care.

The best service my dog Sasha has ever received. The ER department so friendly we wore there 5/14/16 with my Sasha I was so nervous but they took her right away and our Doctor was so good with her. We came home so happy and we are canceling our services we had with another Doctor and hospital. We will be staying with Angel Animal hospital ♡Even two days later called with questions and speechless in how professional they are♡

We discovered our kitty had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy after an onset of heart failure from a routine neutering procedure. Our cat was less than a year old at the time, and has been seeing Dr. Malakoff since. Under her care, he is now turning five soon. We never thought he would live this long and continue to be viligent and hopeful with medicine and a little tlc. Highly recommend Dr. Malakoff! She is wonderful.

I cannot say enough good things about this facility and the wonderful, caring people who work here. It is such a relief to know that there is responsive, competent care available 24/7. I brought my corn snake in when she was sick, and they took such good care of us! I would definitely take her back here again. Highly recommended.

Came in on an emergency basis when our cat ate a very long piece of elastic string. It could easily have gotten clogged inside of him to terrible effect. They triaged him and handled him immediately and did great work. Really fine people doing really good work. We definitely recommend this 24-hour vet clinic!

I appreciated how thorough our vet was while also being cognizant of the costs being incurred. If I didnt already have a vet I love and trust, I would find out if she saw patients on a non-emergency basis.
