My friend uses McGraths and gave them high remarks, so when I adopted my dog, the first dog Ive ever owned, I came here first. Sadly I will never be returning. I scheduled a general visit to make sure everything is in order with my new pet and that hes healthy. The vet spent approximately five minutes with me and my dog (not an exaggeration) and checked a few things, and clipped his toenails (without asking). She asked no questions about diet, poop regularity/consistency, didnt look in his eyes or mouth, gave no feedback on what I should expect, or really any substantial advice whatsoever beyond recommending the Lyme vaccine. $130 later (including office visit fee + fecal & giardia tests) I left the office very confused, but having never been to a vet I didnt really know what to expect or what questions I should have asked. I called up some friends to ask what I should have expected, and was shocked to hear how little care the vet here seemed to show, ESPECIALLY with a new patient coming in with minimal history and a known preexisting virus. No recommendation for heartworm preventive, no advice on the virus he had, no nothing. I dont believe in second chances when it comes to the care of living beings; I switched vets and am MUCH happier elsewhere.

Both of my cats were seen here. The first time my husband brought our cat to be seen, he ended up waiting 40 minutes because our appointment was cancelled. No one communicated this to him, he was left to wait with our FIV+ cat in the busy waiting room. A veterinary office should know that stressful situations should be limited with FIV+ cats especially, since they are prone to illness and flare ups when stressed. I brought our second cat here months later, and the vet told me he is in renal failure but should wait to start fluids until he is in decline. I brought him for a second opinion and the new vet told us fluids are a preventative measure and should be started ASAP. Our cat is like a totally new cat since starting fluids, so full of energy. I am so sad that he was miserable and sick and we did not know to start fluid sooner. I also had a hard time getting their records sent to a new vet, I was put on hold and spoken to rather abruptly on the phone. All in all I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

I LOVE Dr. Bruce. I have gone to McGrath for 14 years now. Specifically Dr. Bruce. Both Cats and Dogs. Dr. Bruce is kind and caring with my pets, they love her. I had one cat that when he had his 1st set vaccines 13 years ago as a baby, he had an allergic reaction an almost died, McGrath took him right in and got him back to normal very quickly. After that, Dr. Bruce advised that he come in for future shots in stages. So his annual vaccines were always 3 visits instead of 1. This meant I was taking her time 3 times instead of once but she would always only charge me for the 1 visit. I have found McGrath to be a little more expensive than other vets and I actually switched vets for a short while trying to save money, but I went back. I would highly recommend Dr. Bruce if you are looking for someone that actually CARES about your pet. I really dont think its just a paycheck to her.

I have had nothing but terrible experiences. I have taken my dog there on numerous occasions and after making a big deal about how they cannot refill his med prescription for a hot spot that they have seen multiple times and diagnosed, I have left the office. Even after a short period of time, they still want him to "come in for a visit to get evaluated and diagnosed", after they just diagnosed it!! Aka after we come in for a 300 visit for the same exact thing they just diagnosed they will refill the meds. The whole 5 minute 300 dollar visit... To tell us the same thing. Its sad that they only value the dollar and not their patients. Very unfortunate. Do not bring your animals there!

I Took my 12 year old cat that had only seen a vet once in her life and then was an indoor cat for 12 years. Then we moved into a house with 3 other cats and a 75 LB dog. McGrath Animal hospital was fantastic !!! They gave my cat all her shots and was able to trim her nails without sedating her. (something I did not think was passible). This not only saved me a lot of money but was much better for the animal. I can not thank the vets and the entire staff enough. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and professional. Thank you so much the entire staff and McGrath I would trust them anytime with my pet. Rick

We recently brought our Doberman puppy here to get her ears cropped on recommendation from our breeder and we couldnt be happier! Not only was McGrath Animal Hospital the most reasonably priced vet, they have been excellent with customer service. Dr. McGrath is an awesome surgeon and true professional and staff have been great. Would highly recommend.

Their vets are okay, but the techs and front desk personnel are not geared toward customer service. After witnessing two separate incidents in the waiting room, I changed vets.

Clean, nice and professional. The reception could use a bit more organization, but all and all a good place.
