I developed a skin irritation caused by the tongue of my workout shoes rubbing against the front of my ankles, which I fixed by trimming the shoes, but I went to Westlake Dermatology South to have them look at the skin. A nurse practitioner gave me a prescription for a topical steroid. Good. On the follow up visit over a month later, I waited more than 30 minutes in the observation room. Then the NP came in, looked at it and said it looked good, and I spent less than 5 minutes with her. The charge for the follow-up visit was $150, maybe more. That didnt seem right to me. When I complained, they told me that I signed an agreement that I cannot contest the cost, and additionally said that running 30 minutes can happen at any health clinic. They also said sitting in the observation room for more than 30 minutes didnt cost me anything, and so they apparently do not believe that a patients time has any worth. Update to 5 stars from 3: I finally came to an agreement with Westlake Dermatology after they considered the time I spent waiting plus the amount of time I was seen. They say that running 30 minutes late is not normal. I suggest getting information of how much you will be charged before going to a follow up visit, and decide whether it is worth it to you.

I have been a patient at Westlake Dermatology for four years and could not be happier. I switched to the Davis Lane location last year since it was closer to my home and absolutely love it! The office is gorgeous, the staff is very friendly and professional, and their appointments run on time which is always a bonus with a busy schedule. Dr. Gordon made me feel comfortable and as if I had been her patient for years in the first five minutes of my visit. She is wonderful in explaining the procedures, offers skincare advice, and truly makes you feel that she cares about you as a patient. I highly recommend Westlake Dermatology to anyone needing a dermatologist. They are fantastic!

Dr. Gordon and the staff at Westlake Dermatology South are the best. They are all so friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Whether I am there for a medical or cosmetic procedure, they have all made my visits comfortable. Ive had many treatments with Dr. Gordon, Emily, and Summer - theyre all amazing, easy to talk to, and provide the highest quality of care. The new South Austin facility is gorgeous, and I love that they have so many great products and Kendra Scott jewelry in the waiting area to check out. I highly recommend Westlake Dermatology, especially the South Austin office!
