I recently moved to Austin and needed to find a new dermatologist. I have somewhat fair skin, and my sun exposure (and tanning bed use - ugh!) is starting to catch up with me, as evidenced by a multitude of dark moles with somewhat irregular borders. Im also a big baby when it comes to shots, medical procedures, etc., so great bedside manner is critical for me, and I dont lije dermatologist offices that seem more focused on superficial needs like Botox, etc. I did a lot of digging around on the web, scouring reviews and reading up on great Austin-area dermatologists. I decided to go with Four Points Dermatology given Dr. Bhatts impressive academic and practice credentials, the fabulous reviews on various websites (particularly Lindas review, below, from Dec. 30, 2011 noting Dr. Bhatts demeanor with her elderly mom), and its proximity to our home. I could not have gotten luckier with my selection. Dr. Bhatt is wonderful. She is thorough and super pleasant. I had to have several "suspicious" spots removed, and she put me at ease. Her nursing staff also is amazing. I had a great personal chat with her about our experience raising little boys as she gave me local anesthesia - definitely made that process easier! I also loved that no one pushed cosmetic needs on me - while I did purchase some skincare, the office visit was focused on my medical needs, which is what I prefer from a dermatologist. If youre looking for a wonderful dermatologist and support staff, I highly recommend Dr. Bhatt and the staff at Four Points Dermatology. If your experiencing is anything like mine has been, youll be very pleased.

My experience with this office is horrible, front desk lady is so RUDE and on the phone the whole time. I was schedule at 8:30a and still waiting at 9:15a so I got up an left. Then she ask me if she can get me in the exam room and wait here another 10min then the doc came in for 3min for her to spray nitrogen to freeze the dark spot tag on my face and said to come back a month later to get rid of the tag and it should be part of the whole service. My insurance show that she over charge big time like $385 for the first time and then the second time that should be part of the service and then charged to my insurance for the second $385 and I still have it on my face. This office is a rip off, and very unprofessional. I will not come back here and also told others in my family and neighbor not to trust these people. I went to other dermatology and got charged $65 each time. So...you all see this office is a scam and I have report to my insurance that this office did not tell me the cost and over bill me and my insurance.

This office needs to watch how they handle their customer relations. I also had a billing issue with my insurance that went into collection. I was told I had great insurance and that everything would be covered. Then I had to come in and pay out of pocket and cover the difference (2x now). Months went by and I received a phone call that I was in collections. The women told me that the bill had been returned to sender. I asked what address they had on record because we had moved and I thought I had updated the address with them. The woman replied with the correct current address. They resent the bill and even though they had the correct address they mailed it to the old address (the first time), so I`m in collections? When a simple phone call could clear this situation up and provide a prompt payment. Lame.

Nice staff, nice Doc, got some spots that concerned me burned off. During my office visit, I was told that they would file on my insurance, then bill me for the difference. I even offered to pay co-pay or part up front. Never heard another word, until I got a call from a collection agency, they added $50 to the the amount of the original bill. Just had to pick up the phone, I worked across the street. I don;t know if the claim was rejected, if a claim was made, or what? Please, next time make a call, let me know the situation, then I can take care of it, and fight with insurance company.

I am pleased to provide an excellent review for Four Points Dermatology! The office ambiance is calming, very lovely and nicely appointed, accessible with great parking. The staff is warm, knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Bhatt is a very highly trained and credentialed physician who is absolutely diligent about the care she and her staff provide. I have received personalized, expert and expedient care. As an RN, I cannot think of more to ask from a physician than she care about me as a person as well as a patient!

My experience at the clinic was great. The doctor and the staff were professional and pleasant. Due to the billing I will not be returning. The itemized statement that I was sent, when applying simple math, does not reflect the amount I am being billed. In calling the 877 number on the invoice part of the conversation included me being told that I received an "internal statement" not really something I should have been sent (strange and why would that be). Billing for major surgery was easier to follow.

she is an EXCELLENT doctor. the only reason i changed was because we moved so i had to get a doctor that was close to me. other then that the staff is ALWAYS friendly and ready to help you with any problem or question you might have. also i am able to get last minute appointments with her and i never hear any complaints about it by her staff. i have gotten an appointment really easy. the most i have waited to be seen by the doctor is like 1 or 2 days as you are able to get an appointment instantly.

Take a good look around as you enter. You will be paying every single persons salary there from you enter until you leave. This includes rent, cost of equipment, everything. I went in to have some spots frozen of and 2 skin tags removed (they seemed non cancerous) .. results where inconclusive, so despite my better judgement I let the doctor cut one of the places open for a bigger sample. No cancer. I estimate they charge you about $1,000 /hr including waiting time.

I went for my skin check with Dr. Bhatt, excellent service and care. I just took my 9 year old daughter in recently for a few minor skin issues. We saw the PA as Dr. Bhatt is on holiday. He was so professional and careful with her, putting her immediately at ease. I highly recommend them, you do not have to wait months for an appointment (as in Westlake Dermatology), and the service and care are bar none!
