If you are looking for a dermatologist office to diagnose a rash or any other skin condition that you are dealing with, DO NOT COME HERE. This place will nickel and dime you for everything, including a biopsy. My initial visit was early November and I HAD an appointment with Dr. Hanson, but instead I met with a new Dr. Reed. I will say she was very nice and welcoming, and she listened to me. One of the nurses also removed skin tags, which I had to pay OOP for (no biggie, since most insurances do not cover this - they consider it cosmetic). My first visit I explained to her my several issues, and she recommended for most of them over the counter stuff, and some super generic cream that didnt work AT ALL. I then had a visit in early December, in which she did a biopsy. She ended up cutting too deep into my skin and now ill have a scar where she took skin. It took two weeks for them to come back with results on the biopsy, and the diagnosis was something that was SUPER GENERAL and GENERIC "Dermatosis". Right from the phone call when they told me what it was I knew I would not be coming back to them, but they recommended I come in to see Dr. Reed and talk to her about the results. I came back early this week (2 days after x-mas) and she suggested I take supplements. And if I didnt want to take supplements, she can prescribe some kind of medication that had crazy side effects! I had an issue with insurance because by the second visit my insurance had changed to a completely different company, and they still billed a procedure to my old insurance (after I told them twice, once in person and once over the phone that my insurance changed and to delete my old one from the system completely). When I asked the lady at check-out, she couldnt tell me because the billing person was on vacation (how convenient!). I made a payment for the skin tag removals over their website and they still didnt apply the payment to my account for OVER A MONTH. I received another statement by mail stating I owe my deductible because some dimwit decided to code my biopsy as "SURGERY" (when its nothing more than the DR cutting my skin off!). Wait time is very minimal 20 mins or less. The office looks nice, and rooms are kept pretty clean. The parking is almost always full and most times you have to keep driving around looking for a parking spot. If you come to your appointment on time, 3-5 before or after the time, others who came in after you will be seen first. This happened to me twice. Customer service is there, but like I said, if you are looking to be diagnosed for a skin condition, dont bother wasting your time coming here. Now I will have to fork over some more money to have a more EXPERIENCED Doctor figure out a legit diagnosis, not just "dermatosis". If you want a dermatologist for cosmetic reasons, I think its a decent place. A lot of reviews on Google about this place seem very fake.

I met Dr Kellie Reed along with the wonderful staff at Sanova Dermatology On Monday February 27, 2017 under very stressful conditions. Thursday February 23, 2017, I woke up to a very itchy rash on my neck and arms. When I consulted with my PCPs Nurse it was decided that I needed to visit the ER. The diagnosis was a possible allergic reaction to a medication. That day I received the first of 4 Steroid shots over the next 5 days from the ER. Each shot triggered horrible reactions. My lips were swollen, eye lids were puffy & droopy. By the time I made it to Dr Reed I was covered from head to toe and suffering with severe Uticaria Vasculitis. I had large inflamed red welts that burned, itched and stung me so bad that I was shaking from the pain. It hurt to move and sit down. The ER doctors were baffled because the hives continue to increase after each injection. I was told to see a Dermatologist because the Hives needed to be biopsied. Sunday night when my face started to swell my cousin did a search on Zocdoc for a Dermatologist. She chose Dr Reed because she specialized in Autoimmune Diseases & she liked her smile. My cousin called Sanova early Monday morning filled them in on my plight and they agreed to see me immediately! Biopsies were done , she also ordered extensive lab work. I was so sick I almost passed out before the biopsies were done. One of the nurses Veronica was so comforting to me during that event. She and Dr Reed really touched my heart. I have a Dermatologist that I have seen twice but they could not or would not fit me in. Suffice it to say I will not be seeing him anymore! I explained to Dr Reed about the reactions I had after each steroid shot. She suggested a particular one for me in case I ever needed one. Which ended up being 2 hours later ( passed out after lab work back to the ER again ) and it work! I didnt react to that particular steroid shot. My Hives started getting better that day. I suffered for 4 long miserable days before I saw her. All I could say was thank you Jehovah & bless you Dr Reed and my sweet cousin Mechelle. I will be following up with my PCP with her findings. Im very pleased with Dr Kellie Reed and Sanova Dermatology. I highly recommend them! ! !

Seems like another dermatology office more concerned with cosmetics than medical problems. Ads everywhere and reps coming in and out of the office while you wait with their latest and greatest products. They scheduled me for more than 3 appointments and prescribed more than 9 medications. I dont feel as though any of the appointments yielded any useful information or that any of the medications except for one (anti-itch) did any good. I was diagnosed with a severe drug reaction after two biopsies and two blood tests. After looking at my insurance claims, this problem cost more than $2000, yet I still have no idea what the problem actually was a reaction to. I checked the claims afterward and the medications prescribed had astronomical prices that I was not aware of. Kenalog spray - $800, Alcortin a gelCream - $2300. This is what is wrong with the medical industry in America. If you are tired of paying higher deductibles and premiums for your insurance, youve got to fight against this. Surely, there was a cheaper alternative to take care of some itching. I guess its all about deals and kickbacks. Each trip they said they called in prescriptions, but when I got to my pharmacy, they had never heard anything. They also called in a few of the prescriptions were by mail with some vendor they use, but never showed up. The nurse seems very confused as to what I had been prescribed and couldnt seem to call it in correctly.

Apparently, I high very high expectations. In the past 8 years, I have had 3 OB/Gyns and 4 pediatricians. Is it too hard to ask for a competent doctor that is also a great listener who doesnt make you feel rushed? It really shouldnt be so rare! Dr. Hanson and her team have exceeded all of my expectations so much that I actually enjoyed my appointment(WHA?!). Here is the low down: The staff is very friendly (everybody is smiling) and attentive. The nurse was friendly, calm and had beautiful skin(good advertising for Sanova) Dr. Hanson was amazing. Seriously. First of all, she has a calm disposition which is exactly what this high strung/neurotic woman needs. Secondly, She asks several questions and guess what else she does... she listens. She addressed every single neurotic concern of mine like a pro and trust me there were several. I never felt rushed(which is a pet peeve of mine) and actually felt excited/ inspired about the future of my skin. Bonus: The office is absolutely beautiful. If you are on the fence about a dermatologist or you really dont like yours, GO to Sanova Dermatology. You will not be disappointed. They are amazing.
