I was just turned away from this office and told to go to the emergency room by their office manager because I do not have ID. As I am not insured and planned to pay out of pocket; had proof of my identity, and have an obvious and urgent medical problem....I was shocked to be turned away by their office manager. Arbitrarily enforcing rules for the sake of enforcing rules even as they exist outside of their contextual intended purpose in the medical realm...is unethical. It is obvious to any thinking and rational person that this policy is an important one in its intended purpose of preventing insurance fraud. However, is baseless in my present state of paying out of pocket. This office is not in the business of treating patients and is morally corrupt. They lack the most basic tenants of which ancient greeks based the hippocratic oath....compassion and ethics. She informed me that they "had no idea who I might be pretending to be"; and "could not see just any person". Then I explained that I had photos of my ID and had been to urgent care twice in the last month for this very basic problem; that the doctor there said my only solution was to see a dermatologist with a microscope and to do it urgently as this can rapidly mutate into a very serious issue.....she told me they did not have the ability to look under a microscope to properly diagnose anything....that they "have to send it away". I have waited a week for this appointment and want her to know that she has personally been a serious detriment to my well being. My health is compromised because of her. I am suffering greatly due to her vacuum of conscience and implore her to seek employment in less education based professions. She has neither the kindness nor critically analytical capacity to make situation based decisions that effect the lives of those her employer seeks to aid. I know that her meaningless exercise of imposing her self importance via power to subjugate the vulnerable is not isolated to me; and as such, I am disgusted that any medical practioner would employ such a person. I have knowledge of how my issue is diagnosed and it requires only a quick hair follicle exam under a microscope... any person with the educational acumen of BIO101 can accomplish it. The treatment is a non narcotic oral medication and the denial of said treatment is abhorrent in its predication for causing needless suffering to the inflicted. There is an office called Rodgers Dermatology that I relayed my predicament to, and they agreed to see me ASAP. I encourage those reading this to seek their counsel instead. If I followed the advice of this woman...I would be paying over one thousand dollars in an emergency room where they would direct me to visit a dermatologist with a microscope. The disgust I feel for this office is felt deeply and offends my sense of humanity at its core. The ignorance and malevolence exercised here is highly negligent and should be policed. I am sorry for all who might experience what I did as it does not feel any less than discriminatory. Please do not subject yourself to the negative and hurtful energy that flows from here. It is an infection of our collective concioussness and cancer like plague of moral perpatude.

My son and I have been patients with Dermatology Consultants of Frisco for over five years. Although I love with my doctor Holly Glover, I cannot say the same for the office policies. I understand the need for a no-show fee as it doesnt give the doctors time to fill the appointment slot. However, if you call to reschedule one to two days prior to your appointment its considered a "no show" yet this is not communicated to you (Im sure its somewhere in the initial paperwork that was completed 5 years ago). After three "No Shows" youre fined $50. I had no clue our family had even ONE No Show on our account, let alone THREE (No-Shows accrue throughout the years. Your past sins are never wiped clean until you literally paid) so I was shocked when I found out we were charged $50 for rescheduling an appointment prior to the appointment time. It wouldnt be so difficult to swallow had there not been appointments involving long waiting times to see the doctor. I am a single mother who is paid hourly. Sitting in a waiting room during office hours costs more than the office visit, it also costs lost wages while away from work. That being said, Ive never even been upset with long waiting times... its the nature of the business and to be honest it didnt happen too often. After spending thousands of dollars with this office with numerous visits and procedures (I have a high deductible so each visit is paid in cash), I would expect as much give as there is take. Communicate with the patient when they call to reschedule that rescheduling will be considered a "no show" and remind them of the policy. I seldom if ever write negative reviews, 90% of the time my reviews are positive (who likes a complainer)! However, todays experience was just poor customer service in my book. To say Im disappointed in the "office policy" is an understatement. Unfortunately, Ill be finding a new doctor all because of a stingy office policy and lack of communication. Sighhh.

I wish I read the reviews before I went to this office. I cant believe how similar our experiences are. Do not give your money to this office. They dont deserve it. They are not transparent with their charges. Will not inform you during the appoint how much the services cost. Will try to cut your appointment short. You will receive no support from the office staff. 1. Booked a new client visit for me and my daughter in January 2017. They gave me 1 appointment, but I had to pay for 2 office visits. I had 6 things I want to cover with doctor Hixon, but I was cut of by the nurse after the 3 thing on my list. My daughter was barely looked at for less then a minute and I had to pay a full office visit for her. 2. Asked for 2 small skin parts to be frozen and later received a bill for $134 for it. Was never informed during the visit that this is an extra charge or at least how much will it cost. 3. Booked a second appointment to have some skin cleared on my forehead. Asked beforehand how much will it be as it is not covered by insurance. They said it will be $149. After the office visit I was charged for an additional $105 for an office visit. Really? They couldnt tell me that in advance? 4. Called couple of weeks ago to complain about my additional invoices and they promised that an office manager will call me back. Never received that call. 5. Today I called to clarify these invoices and to share my disagreement. The reaction from the office: You should have asked for a quote before your visit. That is exactly what I did before my second appointment, where they failed to tell me that I need to pay an additional $105 for an office visit. So at the end I visited this office twice and my total bill is $585. If you have that much money to spare you can give them a try. I would not recommend it though. Cant believe offices like this are still in business.

If I could give zero stars I would. I decided to go to this office since I took my daughter there a few times after we moved into this area. Wasnt too impressed with the doctor but it was close to my house so decided Ill give them a try again for myself. I had a 4:30 appointment and while I was driving down there, one of the staff called me at 4:31 to inform me that I was late and they needed to reschedule. I told the lady I was almost there and will be there in two min. She refused to listen and told me since they close at 430 I was late and they needed to have me come in another time. I was shocked... They are horrible at keeping appointments on time themselves... I have waited more than 30 min. for my daughters appointment one time and they did not have the decency to wait 5. I told them to cancel my appointment. I will not be returning for myself or for my daughter. The staff is unprofessional and dont care about people. If I was looking for a dermatologist, I would avoid them like the plague. Horrible customer service and mediocre doctor.
