There are really no words to describe how happy and grateful I am to have found Dr. Meade and his staff. He was recommended to me by multiple people after my little Westie puppy had a horrible and traumatizing experience at a vet clinic in Boston when he was just 4 months old. Dr. Meade, knowing this, has been so unbelievably patient, kind, and understanding with my little guy to the point where I have teared up when seeing how much he cares for my puppy and animals in general. He is wonderful with them and with us parents. But it is not just Dr. Meade who is wonderful, each and every one of his staff is just as kind, patient, and amazing. As a first time puppy mommy, I am a little on the anxious side. But, as soon as I walk through the door, I feel a sense of relief and calm knowing that my little guy is well-liked (even at times when he is having a "temper tantrum") and will be well taken care of. My little guy recently got neutered and I could not have been more pleased with how well they cared for him pre, during, and post surgery. He is as cute as can be, but I know he can be a handful! Dr. Meade and his staff take this all in stride and mix in a combination of knowledge, experience, patience, and a great sense of humor. The cheese in a can also helps! :-) Even though my puppy still doesnt "love" going to the vet, he is so much less anxious with Dr. Meade as compared to our first vet and he often wants to stay longer as his visit is wrapping up. Thank you to everyone for everything. My little guy and I are so happy to call you our vet!! I cant recommend Dr. Meade highly enough.

My husband and I had a beautiful 4 year old boxer. He had just started having seizures and Dr. Meade had been treating him. Dr. Meade was wonderful, however; I hold his staff responsible for the death of my pet. Our dog started acting funny, like he was stuck in the pre seizure mode. I called the vet and they said they had an afternoon appointment. Having just moved a half hour away and giving birth a week before I was in no state to bring the dog to the vet. My husband was stuck in traffic so my brother came and picked up the dog. In the car, he went into went into a horrible seizure. My brother ended up in traffic and was 10 minutes late to the appointment. The staff rejected him and wouldnt even call a vet for help as the dog was in a full seizure in the car! We ended up having to put the dog down in the animal hospital for severe brain damage. It is possible that it was to late for him, but to deny a patient in an emergency for being 10 minutes late is the most disgusting thing a so called animal lover can do!

My relationship with Burlington Veterinary Hospital goes back approximately 40 years. They have been there for my family of dogs and their needs at all stages of their lives. My pets have always been happy to walk in, get weighed, and wait for their on-time appointment. Even the elderly pets have been well treated through the end of their lives. In my only pet emergency, that occurred at midnight, my dog was on a tie-out and encountered a raccoon. When she came back inside bleeding from a couple of chest wounds, I was able to stop the bleeding and lull her to sleep. Then I called Burlington Veterinary Hospital and left a message describing what happened and asking for help as soon as possible. They called me about 7:30 am and said, "bring her in now." By mid-afternoon, she was woozy, but ready for a 5-hour ride to Grandmas for Thanksgiving. Needless to say, they have earned my highest recommendations over the years.

I just recently took my dog here for the very first time for an eye infection and I can not say enough about this practice. Everyone was friendly and pleasant from the front desk to the vet. Dr. Tapscott was WONDERFUL. She was very gentle with my dog. Kind, compasionate, listened to my concerns about my dogs overall health, her joints (my dog does Flyball, Agility and Herding along with we are starting Disc Dog). Dr. Tapscott didnt rush me answered all of my questions about nutrition. I can go on and on about this place as this was the best experience I have EVER had at a vet. If you love your pet and you are looking for a vet that cares about not only your pet but, about your questions and concerns then this is the place to take them. You and your pet will be very, very satisfied. I highly recommend.

Amazing hospital. Dr. Meade has been my vet for 12 years now and is so amazing. We used to raise dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind and he was their vet and the local petco uses him as well. Recommended him to my doctor who had a sweet Westie puppy and she thinks he is amazing as well. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and he is amazing with all of them. Also was vet to numerous hamsters, gerbils, and 2 bunnies over the years. My dogs arent afraid of the vet because they love him so much, he has been with them through all their random issues and is so lovely. He lets dogs lick him all over the face! You know he loves animals just by how gentle and lovely he is. Cannot recommend him enough!

Burlington Veterinary Hospital staff is extremely knowledgeable, professional, personable and caring. They extend themselves to know your pet. A trip to the vet can be very taxing and yet, everyone takes the time and effort to make the patient, and the ones holding the leash, feel more at ease. I highly recommend Burlington Vet Hospital as the facility for the medical care of your pet. Doctor Meade, Doctor Gardiner, Leah, Lucy, Jess and Helen (to name a few) are outstanding. We are fortunate to have these people as our extended pets care givers. Thanks for all your do.

I entrusted my pet dog (Bali ) under the care of Dr. Meade from the time I first brought her home at 6 weeks, to the time I needed to hug her goodbye at 17+years. Dr. Meade was always attentive and offered wise advice in her care. I always knew that I could call and get an appointment when needed, and that the staff at Burlington Vet Hospital could also be counted on. I only wish that I was able to feel the same kind of compassion from my Physician and my childrens Pediatrician. Rest assured that your pet will receive heart felt, top quality care from Dr. Meade.

I only trust Dr. Meade and his staff with my Kitties. Hes warm, knowledgeable and concerned with the best care for your pet. Hes got a great bedside manner and also can handle my three year old son peppering him with questions while doing an exam. I have a kitty with special needs and he helped me come up with a game plan for her IBD. And when one of my cats passed away, they showed utmost compassion to our family to help us get through the experience. I highly recommend Burlington Veterinary Hospital.
