First the good: very lavish offices and plenty of office staff (plenty of overhead costs). BUT, please read on for the rest of the story and why Id recommend that you consider other providers. My overall experience was quite negative for the following reasons. I had an initial consultation with Dr. Pinto. This exam consisted of some questions and stretching in a few different directions and lasted about 10 minutes. In this session he remarked to me that my insurance company (Aetna) provides low reimbursement for chiropractic services. I did not receive any adjustments that day, only an ice pack and e-stimulation. They had me set another appointment for two days later to present to me the plan of treatment. In this appointment , Dr. Pinto came in and said they had a plan of care to present to me and then turned me over to a member of his "sales team". Both Dr. Pinto and the sales person told me that my insurance deductible was $1,800, but I later confirmed with Aetna that its actually $800. The plan of care they offered me was for 18 visits over a 6 month period for a total payment of $1,670 or 9 monthly installments of $185. I believe they misrepresented my deductible so that they could extract more money from me and also collect money from me even when my deductible was met. Only 4 of these visits included massage therapy. This plan essentially had me paying over $90 just for a chiropractic adjustment. I decided not to pursue treatment from this provider and recently received a bill for $175. This was for the initial consultation that they billed my insurance company for a total of $195. Usually, this first consultation is considered complimentary, but they treat the visit where they do the high pressure sales pitch as the "complimentary visit". In total they billed my insurance company $234, and then billed me $175, and all i received was a cursory exam, an ice pack, and an electronic muscle stimulation. I did contact their office to try to reach a resolution on this matter, but they stuck to their guns. Therefore, thats why you see this post. Consider yourself forewarned.

I am Gwendolyn Gaines a patient or should I say a family member of Dr. Pinto’s chiropractic and rehabilitation. I decided to get my back examined because I had been having constant lower back pain for years. As a teen, I was diagnosed with scoliosis (curvature of the spine) which had begun to pronounce itself in my walk. I also had a throbbing pain in my clavicle, which radiated down into my left arm. That pain was beginning to be unbearable. I decided to go proactive and see what could be done about this pain. My search on the internet lead me to the fabulous, Dr. Pinto and Dr. Muller. An e-mail was sent and the next day I received a call back. I was impressed. I made an appointment and was welcomed to my second home. The atmosphere was so relaxing you could fall asleep in the lounge chairs. Do not worry about falling asleep because you are not kept waiting for long. Through this treatment process, I met the most, friendliest and professional, staff. I send a shot out to the receptionists, Michelle, Natalie, Beth, and Debbie! My rehabilitation terminetter Michelle with her side kick Alexa who cheered me along on Motown Mondays! Michelle assisted in exercises helping me to gain more strength in my weaker muscles resulting in no more Snap! Crackle! or Pop. To the master massage therapist, Rylee, Lonnie, and Brittney who allowed me to talk them to life while they massaged the kinks out of neck and back resulting in a better smoother performance of my 1980’s snake dance as I walked from the massage room. Finally yet importantly the dynamic duo, Drs. Pinto and Muller who performed the ultimate chiropractic pop alignment to my back, which resulted in NO MORE LOWER BACK PAIN! I will be back for my monthly tune-ups to make sure I stay in chiropractic shape! God Bless you all!

I was diagnosed with an immunodeficiency disease after a year of tests and multiple specialists telling me they didnt know what was wrong. I had grown to resent and loath the medical process of meeting new doctors or going to new offices. As is it I have to frequent doctors offices to monitor and treat it. After an unexpected c-section for my first baby this past August my back decided it didnt want to function. I went 3 months in, at times, quite severe pain before a family friend recommended Pinto Chiropractics. I had been to a chiropractor in the past and it was not a good experience so I was hesitant to go in at all. But I couldnt take the pain any more. My first impression when I walked in was "Oh my goodness...this cant be a doctors office?" The environment is so warm and literally invites you in. Beverages and comfy chairs while you wait - which has never been more than 5 minutes ever (and I dont have to tell you that for a doctors office that has to be some kind of record). Everyone.. and I mean everyone... from the office, the massage therapists, the physical therapists, and of course.. the doctors.. truly to their core make you their priority. Ive never felt so taken care of. They really focus on finding the problem, correcting it, and give you tools on how to prevent it while maintaining over all health in their adjustments. I cant recommend Pinto Chiropractics enough. I intend on making them a permanent staple in not only fixing my back right now, but in maintaining overall health. They are amazing.

It has been a few years since I moved from New York to Williamsburg, VA. I had had a serious auto accident in 1990 and was hospitalized for 5 weeks. About two years later, I started to have regular (monthly) and predictable headaches and neck pain. Various chiropractors helped but I never went without the pain. Upon visiting Dr. Pinto, I somewhat reluctantly started a regime of appointments and rehab exercises, but was willing to trust that they might help. As a health professional myself in the field of nutrition, working with Shaklee products over 30 years, I realized that it was not about an immediate or instant "magic pill", but about an ongoing routine of healthy practice to discover a solution. Not only did I start to eliminate the headaches and neck pain but I received exercises that would assist in my recovery. I have continued to do these daily and to have periodic chiropractic check-ups. and no longer experience what was a debilitating monthly occurrence. The staff was totally professional and helped to make the visits pleasant. I learned how to help myself, thanks to Dr. Pinto, his expertise, and his caring staff.

I have known Bob and Anne Pinto since they started their practice. I went to the office because I could not turn my head to the left, had problems sleeping, positioning, and overall was somewhat miserable. At first I could not make up my mind of who to see. Orginally I visited Dr. Scotty Pharr, an ear, nose, and throat specalist who informed me I was at the wrong spot. I then thought of Bob & Anne. I went to their caring office and found a peace like no other. I asked Bob if he could help me, and he looked straight at me and said I can. His honesty caught my spirit and I trusted him to do the right thing. Besides I did not want surgery. I signed up for a list of things to happen, but the first day at the office I was on a machine that stretches you neck, well It was so wonderful, I cant put into words the relief. My neck popped and it was great. After the first visit, I slept and rested like I had not done in the last few months. The caring, personal touch that Pinto Chiropratic offers is more than words can express. I am thankful for their kind help for giving me a normal life back.
