Dr. Drake-Forte came highly recommended, but after seeing her with my daughter for two check-ups and several appointments for shots, I was not impressed. I was kept waiting at every appointment, even though I was scheduled for the first appointment of the morning, often for half an hour or longer and with no one else waiting to see the doctor. Her final appointment I also felt like Dr. Drake-Forte tried to bully me into getting multiple shots at the same appointment even though Id told her and several staff members on multiple occasions that my daughter had had reactions in the past when receiving more than one vaccine at a time. I appreciate that she is a medically trained professional, but I work in the medical field myself and have several degrees, and her lack of professionalism and respect for my intelligence and my knowledge of what is best for my child was astounding.

Dr Drake is a great Doctor as a whole, but I feel though she lacks respectful staff. I had booked an appointment one day and instead of calling me and telling me that they no longer accepted my sons Insurance, they let me get all the way there then tell me. Mindful I work 30+ minutes from there but I live even Farther from there. That was very unprofessional, and to see her in the background saying she is going to have get another insurance was even more upsetting. She didnt try to compromise at all, nor did she see anything wrong with how they handled the situation. From me working in the medical field and knowing how insurance and things work, I know that a simple phone call wouldnt have hurt to let me know what was going. In regards to that I stop sending my patients to her, for they as well was coming back with other stories that I had never experienced.

Brought my son to her for a second opinion/help with ADHD. We only had one visit with her but I can tell shes a good doctor. She had really good ideas. I like the way she spoke with my son. However the staff you keep around can make or break a practice. I left 2 messages with her staff regarding the new medication she prescribed my son, its been over 2 weeks and I have yet to hear back. Its possible they never passed along my messages but still.... we have gone through 4docs since moving to GA just trying to find someone that can get to know my childs personality and not just throw medication at him. I dont have the energy to chase down doctors for answers to my questions anymore. Its a shame we may have stayed with her.

Best childrens doctor you can find! My children have seen her as their pediatrician for over 14 years. She is an insightful, excellent diagnostician and she truly cares about her patients. In this world of large practices and impersonal service, its wonderful as a parent to have someone like her to care for my children.
