Dr. Joy Gardner is useless. She got my disabilities canceled by filling out a form and saying I was able to do sedentary activity. She hadnt seen or spoken to me in six months. Even without that, shes a lousy doctor. Shes into natural health, which is great, but not to the extent she takes it. She told me I needed to stop taking pain medication, but offered no solutions on how to go about it. I told her my other doctor and I were cutting it down. She cut me off and said "no, you need to do it now!". Never mind that following her advice could send me into SHOCK! She then did the same thing with smoking and soda. I tried to explain the steps I was taking to stop, but her only response was "no, you need to do it now." Before that, I wanted to ask her for suggestions on how to go about quitting, but I was so turned off by her abrupt responses, I was too self conscious and uncomfortable to ask. She then refused to see me because I didnt have the $50 I owed them. If they can find a way to do it, they will with hold treatment to get money from you. Its completely unprofessional. Every other doctors office I go to understands that most people are struggling financially right now, and are willing to be patient. I owe other offices a lot more, and theyre a lot more patient. And dont think its different just because shes in private practice. Plenty of other doctors in private practice have been willing to wait for a lot more money. Never in my life have I had a doctor refuse treatment over such a paltry amount of money. Take my advice. Because of my condition, I have to see a lot of doctors. You can do much better than this quack. Steer clear and save yourself a lot of aggravation.
Ive been seeing Dr. Gardner for several years as a Thyroidectomy patient. When I first started seeing her I was being monitored by an Endocrinologist and I was extremely hypothyroid due to the 6 month wait in between appointments, and not being "heard" when I tried to explain that I wasnt doing well on the medication I was on. Dr. Gardner got me back on track and feeling better and continues to work with me and listen to my treatment suggestions. Shes more "in the know" and open minded about thyroid treatment than the three Endocrinologists that I have seen. My medication has required many tweaks and she looks at the whole picture, not just the TSH test. I feel very fortunate to have found her because I most certainly would not be able to live the active lifestyle that I want to live! My only complaint is that it often take several days for someone to return a call and this can be very frustrating. I believe that Dr. Gardner is working on improving that!
Carol has a genuine interest and respect in the health of her patients, but, I noticed personally that she over prescribes "supplements" to her clients. She overprescribes. When a body is in turmoil the liver/kidneys/pancreas cant handle all of those natural ingredients every day, all day. Too much. Perhaps shes burnt out and hands out natural suggestions like candy without sugar.
Dr. Gardner essentially saved my life. She figured out what was going on after four months of having other providers scratch their heads and tell me it was all in my head. It sure wasnt! Shes very kind, held my hand when delivering rough news, and came up with a good treatment plan. I trust her--even after having lost trust in my other providers. Thank you Dr. Gardner!
Dr. Gardner has been my primary doctor for many years now. She will usually get me right in for an appointment. She always takes as much time as necessary to find out the issue and come to a resolution. She is very caring and listens to her patients! :) Her staff members are very helpful as well!
Dr. Gardner is a very good alternative medicine doctor. She finds the causes of illness and helps with supplements and diet changes to heal illness. If you want a doctor to patch up your bad habits with medicine to to a regular doctor. If you want to help your health, go to Dr. Gardner.
Great team! Very knowledgeable and mindful of treating the whole body.
