In order to post I have to give these guys 1 star....since there is no negative stars I had to give them 1 start.....they do not merit any stars so....Buyer beware..... I contacted Aspens emergency hotline for a quick fix of a crown that came unglued. This was critical as I was leaving for China I was given an appointment for the next day and was very happy with the quick response and accommodation. However, When I arrived at their Springhill, Florida location, (1525 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, FL 34606) I was put through a battery of 18 x-rays and then told that I had to have a gum health evaluation and then I would be able to see the dentist. I was told that he may or may not be able to fix my loose crown at this point. I immediately reminded the tech that I was there for an emergency visit and that I have a local dentist and did not need x-rays and gum evaluations. I was told that this was corporate procedure and that once again the dentist may or may not be able to fix my crown at that point. I reminded the tech that I had a simple loose crown....that is all. Once I was told this, I stopped the process and made sure that the billing coordinator knew I was very upset that I was not getting the emergency treatment that I had requested at the time of the appointment request. I will contact my insurance carrier to make sure that no charges are tendered. This business plan is an obvious scam. They bring in emergency patients, take a zillion x-rays, do all type of evaluations and then try to "sell" the customer on services that they did not need nor want. I felt like I was putting siding on my house. I trusted these guys to help me out of a tight spot and they were only concerned on selling me unnecessary procedures. THEY FAILED ME MISERABLY. ONCE AGAIN...BUYER BEWARE

To begin, I worked for this company for over a year at the spring hill location. During the time there my spouse attended a new patient exam, a cleaning, and two fillings. This was 1/22/15, I personally submitted this to his insurance in January of last year, he had a signed financial agreement that they agree to the amount. A YEAR LATER (1/29/16) he receives a bill for these services. Legally insurance pays within 90 days, which means we should have gotten a bill 8 months ago in 2015! Why is there suddenly a denial of insurance? Since January, he had attended a different dentist and had all fillings done at Aspen replaced (free of charge) because they were done incorrectly and caused jaw pain because they have no quality control and did not properly check his bite. He had returned three times to have this adjusted, and six months later he still had issues. Last month we got a reminder for his appointment that was just made, he had not made an appointment and would never make an appointment there, so he canceled the appointment via phone. They held on to a bill for over a year before issuing it to the patient. His insurance explanation of benefits was sent to us in March of 2015, which means Aspen received payment. He was financially agreed to pay an amount in the office. The office manager knowing he was my spouse refused to personally sit down with him and go over the fees, and instead had me do it. I explained to her that I did not feel comfortable because he was my spouse to personally do his financial agreement. Yet, here we are a year later with a bill they didnt issue for a year. This dental chain is horrible, find a private practice where they will personally remember your treatment and wont worry about upselling your treatment.

The entire office is nothing but superb!! Jenna and Danielle were professional, kind, caring, thorough, humorous and put me at ease. Dr. Bennett is, hands down, the best dentist Ive been to in years! She listens, genuinely cares, gave me all my options and ensured I did not leave in the same pain that I arrived in. Extractions are normally terrifying for me, but Danielle and Dr. Bennett helped keep me occupied and even had me giggling with their funny stories. Dr. Bennett had my molar out in no time at all!! I was given all my financing options and was able to go ahead and get scheduled for much needed work that I thought would be impossible to ever afford. Aspen Dental on Commercial Way is the ONLY dentist I will go to from now on and I could not recommend this dental office enough to anyone needing dental care. You gals are simply AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for all you have done for me. Update 4/18/2017: Second appointment today at this location. Today I had the periodontal cleaning and arestin treatment. Once again, Jenna and Dr. Bennett were awesome as was Angela. Linda, the hygienist, was absolutely fabulous!! She explained everything, caused no pain, was patient and gentle and even joked around with me. I LOVE this facility and the entire staff. Wont be going anywhere else!

Well, my review is solely based upon Dr Bennett. Although she is very nice she is also very inexperienced. I had a tooth removed a few days ago and the entire process was a joke. I felt like the dummy in the chair while she practiced in dental school. Youll could tell she had either never done an extraction before or only a few times. Telling me your gonna feel pressure and there is nothing I can do about it, was snotty and completely unnecessary. You are pulling a tooth from my mouth, I am well aware there will be pressure. However, as she is pulling the tooth out she wacks me in the face with the grips and not only do I have a sore face but now a purple fat lip!!!!! She has no idea how to give shots either. She had two assistants that I know felt sorry for me during this process and the fact they said nothing to her about huttong me in the face really pissed me off. Then she says in a real condescending tone "Im sorry for any pain I may have inadvertently caused". I got up shot her a dirty look then walked out. The staff knew I was pissed off and will not come back here again unless I am seen by Dr Lee...... He is the Gem in this place and that other dentist should not be practicing alone yet she needs much more supervision and bedside manner lessons.

The 3 star is boarder line 4. Had they told me during their sales presentation of the services which I would receive in the proposal that included all insurance and self responsibility, I was also paying $200 for an electronic tooth brush which included all preventative care products, and not led to believe this was included when I asked about the brush that was on the counter I saw before my deep cleaning; this would be a 5 star review. More than likely I wouldve purchased the tooth brush kit since they could include the cost in my financing which I was approved for onsite. Looked like a fool to my wife when I told her the dental assistant explained it was included and I would receive it at the end. Not sure why I wasnt able to see the clear charge for the kit considering how many times I went over it prior to my appt. but she looked at and noticed it right away. Aspen Dental, you provide exceptional services, at least you did with me. There is no need to have surprise charges tacking miscellaneous items on the proposal. It opens up the door for so much doubt that couldve been avoided. I dont mind paying top dollar for service, I just dont want to feel taken advantage.
