DONT GO HERE unless you have money growing in your backyard.. This is one of those unfortunate places where you have a vet who takes advantages of its customers. Pure greed. I brought my dog in for an abscess a week ago and paid $200 for her to be looked at and cared for. No problem there. One doctor tells me I should have her teeth cleaned and a molar extracted soon. I decide to set up the appointment for a dental cleaning under anestesia and the extraction for the following week as I was told it doesnt have to be done right away, but "soon." I chose to have the dental cleaning and a tooth extracted the following week, on 6/27, 5 days from July 1st. No one told me there was a special going on for the month of July for dental cleanings. I ask the front desk how much it will be so I can plan out how Im going to pay for it. Im told $220 for dental cleaning, blood work and a catheter, $75 to extract a chipped molar, and a possible additional charge that couldnt be given until the day of because they didnt know how much the extracted tooth would have to be "filled". No problem. I figure about $350. Fast forward to June 27th. I pick up my dog after her dental cleaning and molar extraction and pay a bill of $451

My experiences at South Miami Vets and Pets have been amazing! Dr. Diaz, Dr. Acevedo, and Kiki are professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Every time I pay them a visit, they take the time to listen to all of my concerns and examine both of my kittens. They are also easily accessible via email or phone. This past month, I had to travel and my pet-sitter had some concerns regarding the coat of my cat Hunter. I immediately reached out to Dr. Diaz and when my pet-sitter took Hunter to see her, Dr. Diaz took the time to call me and explained her diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Acevedo is just as wonderful as Dr. Diaz. I took Hunter in for a follow up and Dr. Acevedo was already familiar with his situation. Kiki, their assistant, is fantastic! He really loves the animals and treats them with lots of care. The facilities at South Miami Vets and Pets are clean, spacious, and modern. I completely trust them with the care of Emma and Hunter and most importantly, Emma and Hunter feel at ease there. I have no doubts that my cats are in superb hands at South Miami Vets and Pets.

Went there just this past weekend. I was refereed from my boyfriend monther whos taken her dogs there for quite sometime now. She told me to see Dr. Diaz, so I went. The staff was so lovely, and Dr. Diaz was handsdown the best vet Ive seen for my cat in a very long time! He recently was diagnosed with urinary blockage problem, after one trip to the emergency room and hospitalization for 3 days, a couple other vets he became blocked again less than 2 weeks later. Dr. Diaz explained to me very thoroughly about what was wrong with him, and what he needs to prevent this from happening. Although my cat is still recovering, he has a follow up with them tomorrow I know he is for sure Im amazing hands. I am so confident to say this is the best place to bring your animals! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I was visiting family in Miami from Las Vegas with our two dogs when I needed a vet. South Miami Vets & Pets was recommended to me and I took my dog Taco there with a cloudy eye. Not only were they able to see me the morning I called (the day after Thanksgiving), but I had the best personal service I have ever had with a vet. Dr. Diaz was amazing, knowledgeable, & thorough. The exam was only $1 for a first time client and the test and medicine I needed to get were at a great price. I wish I lived in town so I can use this office regularly as my vet. They even called me the day after to follow up to see how Taco was doing. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Dr Diaz was a life saver!!!!

Wonderful Vets! We have a very ACTIVE Belgian Malinois who has managed to eat all kinds of stuff not meant for dogs and almost lost her as a result. Drs. Diaz and Acevedo and staff were right there when we needed them and truly care about their patients. We adopted another dog and found out that he has heartworms. Dr. Diaz has been compassionate and is working with us for his treatment which is comprehensive and can be costly. We have done comparison shopping for this treatment and found other Vets to be more expensive. Our previous Vet retired and after trying other clinics, decided that South Miami Vets and Pets is the perfect fit for our family.

Our dog seemed to have hurt her front leg and needed it check out. We were seen immediately, didnt have a wait for our appointment time, and had all of our questions/concerns addressed. We decided to stay with them after this appointment. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. The vet techs are very knowledgeable and informative. We had Dr. Maria Diaz She was wonderful, as were the rest of the staff that we saw that day. Also, as an added bonus, they have fresh popcorn and candy for a treat for the parents while waiting! Great experience!

this people are horrible clearly they are the same company as EZ VET and after allowing me to make appointment and I followed up to confirm, and the day off I dropped off Dog. They waited and hour to call me to tell me they were a different company and decline the groupon. I looked them up with Secretary of State and are the same company owned and operated by the same people. They clearly engage in deceptive business practices. I wasted my time and efforts but the rest of you do not have to do it, do not use this business.

Dr. Diaz and her staff are extremely professional and knowledgeable. I sought out Dr. Diazs help after on my family dog was misdiagnosed with an infection at another vet clinic. Dr. Diaz took us in at a moments notice and was able to not only correctly diagnose my dog with heart disease, but save his life with a personalized treatment plan. I truly believe that without her expertise - my dog would not be with us right now. I highly recommend any animal owner to visit South Miami Vets and Pets - you will not be disappointed.

The best vets I ever gone to. Very honest, knowledgeable and really care for the animals. No matter where I move in the Dade county area, I will always drive there. The staff is very helpful and the Drs. take time to explain any issues with my dogs and help me understand the best course of treatment, whenever necessary. I highly recommend them! Thank you Dr. Diaz and Dr. Acevedo for the wonderful job you do. I know and trust that my dogs are now in good hands.
