My dog Rudy, a Golden Retriever, has been going to Twinbrook for the past 7 years, since he was 10 weeks old. He has been given the best quality of care one could ask for their family member. Anytime I have had an emergency or issue, Twinbrook is always quick to get Rudy in to be seen. I have never had to go back for a repeated issue, they are always quick to solve problems and offer the best care for Rudy. The staff is always so patient with my dog, even when he is not so cooperative. For example, they have made adaptations for Rudy such as having his exam in the lobby or taking him through the back door because he would become so anxious and they didnt want to upset him. He was never anxious about the people but more the smells and being away from home. My dogs primary veterinarian is Dr. Simon and we are so thankful for her care. Dr. Simon not only is knowledgeable and skilled, she genuinely cares about our family member and has an amazing way of showing it. Rudy was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor, which Dr. Simon immediately noticed the signs and advocated for further evaluations and worked with us on the best treatments for him. It has been a tough month, but not only does Dr. Simon and the staff at Twinbrook take time to answer or return my calls immediately when I have questions or concerns (which is a lot at times), they treat Rudy with such special care and really take their time with him during his tough visits. Dr. Simon will sit on the floor to pet and talk to him and calls to check in on Christmas Eve to see how he is feeling, which words cant describe how appreciative we feel. We are so blessed to have such an amazing facility close to home and would highly recommend them. Thank you Dr. Simon and everyone at Twinbrook for your continuous, amazing care and services!!!! We are so grateful!

First I took my puppy here for routine checkups and first shots and my first impressions were good but I thought they were a little overpriced. I thought if I was happy with the care for my pet I didnt care spending more money. When my puppy got sick, face swollen, not eating, throwing up etc I was back 4 days in a row and still no changes. After a ridiculus vet bill, I gave my dog a benedryl and he was 10 times better within an hour. He was having an allergic reaction to something. Twinbrook ordered tests that I later discovered, my dog was not showing symptoms of what they were testing. A few months later my cat was peeing blood and straining to pee. I took him to Twinbrook giving them the benefit of the doubt. Was told he did not have a UTI, they did Xrays and there was no blockage but could said there was crystals in his bladder. Sent us home with pain meds and told us to make sure he drinks a lot of water to help flush out crystals. Cat was still the same 2 days later. Said they would have to operate, do a procedure to scrap out the crystals. I thought this was the most absurd thing. Called another vet and went for a 3nd opinion. The new vet prescribed a wet food diet that I had to buy at the vet. Within 24 hours my cat stopped peeing blood, was still straining but not nearly as bad. Within 3 days he was almost back to normal. New vet told me my cat was closed to getting blocked and this could have killed my cat. I will never take an animla back to Twinbrook! They care more about making money than the care of your pet. I felt that they do as little as possible to keep you coming back with a sick animal to make more money off of you. Fortunately one of my pets did not die!

I recently moved back to the area. I had a very old Golden Retriever whose hips had failed months ago and who had lost control of his bowels. I was really struggling to let go. I called Twinbrook a few weeks ago to get their prices and procedures. They were very caring over the phone and talked me through the process and the options. When the day had come, they made sure they could get me an appointment that day so none of us had to suffer any longer than necessary. And after all was done, they sent me a sympathy card signed by the entire staff with a paw print of my Old Man as a memento. I am so touched by their thoughtfulness. I have another dog and a cat and I truly feel that they will be in good, loving, and caring hands at Twinbrook. As for some of the other reviews on here, I think their prices are more than reasonable. Ive lived all over the country and I dont think their prices are any higher than any other vet Ive been to. Veterinary care is expensive, and a compassionate and caring staff is worth the money to me.

A few months ago, my kitty began losing weight, so we took her to Twinbrook. Dr. Simon ordered blood work and was very helpful and supportive, but nothing conclusive was found. My mom had to take Gizmo back to Twinbrook yesterday and subsequently Gizmo’s condition was so bad that she had to be put down. This has been one of the THE HARDEST decision to make and to go through. Dr. Simon and her team at Twinbrook were incredibly compassionate and loving during the entire process. Dr. Simon’s loving kiss on my Gizmo’s head after she passed shows the true love that she has in her heart for animals. Dealing with a sick pet and putting a pet down are both incredibly painful. It was comforting to have Dr. Simon and her team there to help ease some of the pain. Thank you all, again.

My parents called Twinbrook and told them that we were bringing our cat to them and that it was an emergency. The first thing they said was "Okay, it will be $50 for the visit". They then brought our cat to Twinbrook after she was clipped by a car. I got to Twinbrook 30 minutes later to say my good-byes and right when I got into the room to see my cat sedated and life-less the worker said "So, who is paying for the treatment", meanwhile Im bawling my eyes out. Our visit was very unprofessional. I heard laughing from the lobby and the work space. There was no special room for familys saying good-bye to their loved one, and also no sign that asks people to please be quiet. All this company cared about was them getting their money. They also gave my friends dog a cat vaccine..

Any of the previous statements that list this vet as poor to fair are obviously impossible to please. Twinbrook is an amazing vet! The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and passionate. The whole staff took great care to make sure we were pleased with the care we received. Our two year old Beagle/Border Collie/Basset Hound mix had been bitten by another dog and developed a severe infection and being a new puppy owner we had no idea what we were in for. Dr. Simon and the vet techs explained in great detail what we needed to look for and watch out for. Dr. Simon made several follow-up calls and was very clear to tell me that no matter what I should feel free to call with ANY questions. We will be bringing all of our present and future pets here!!!
