My wife and I took my stepsons 12 yr old lab/shep mix to Margate Animal Hospital I called and they said that they could fit her in ( new patient) $40 a visit. Nala has been vomiting for a full 24 hours but did eat yesterday and now she wont eat and can not stand on her own longer than 600 ft. We carry her in explain and they ask if I use some heart worm stuff etc.. When last shots were ( we took her to our home when my Wifes ex moved out of the county) so we get in to the room the vet comes in listens to her heart says she is dehydrated ( DUH) walks out his vet tech walks back in with a "$1300 ESTIMATE" no explanation or direction they were thinking ( I had explained she had ticks recently and Frontline) Oh yeah she offered a VET CREDIT CARD APPLICATION.............. We paid the $40 and left. The girls were really nice at the front. It was obvious how old she was and he did not even talk to us about our concerns or anything. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE VET I would be ashamed !

We recently moved to Jacksonville. I had to look up their phone number because I need them to call in a prescription dog food for me. Thought Id leave a review while I was at it... We love this vet! They are a lot cheaper than the "posh" vets in the area. The ladies up front are always nice on the phone and in person. Last time we went in, our dog was bleeding from the bum area. They immediately got us in. I am completely animal stupid, so when the vet said she had a gland open up, I had a lot of questions. Every question I had he answered, plus he showed me and my kids an anatomical picture to help us better understand. He also went over how to prevent similar future problems. Oh and they also match prices on flea, tick, and heart worm meds. Sad to be leaving our little gem vet office in Margate.

When our dog was poisoned by a Toad, Margate Animal Hospital rendered aide immediately and saved his life. They were always professional, friendly & compassionate throughout our emergency. We were very lucky to find them, as we had been turned away from another "Animal Hospital" because "they dont handle emergencies". The folks at Margate Animal Hospital, recognized that out pets are family and they in turn, treated us as family.

Absolutely the best. The staff all know my dog by his name, even when making an appointment over the phone. Everyone is very friendly and make my dog try to feel as relaxed as possible. Dr Berrious breaks it down so diagnosis and treatment are easy to understand and quite the straight shooter. Kim and Brandon are great as well. They are very fair priced and willing to help in every way.

Wouldnt recommend this vet, took my dog because he had been throwing up and not eating. Vet later came back telling me he had pancreatitis and gave me a 1700 dollar estimate for a bunch of random shots and a pancreatitis test. Paid the copay, went to the coral springs animal hospital, turned out he had hookworm. Dont think they know what theyre doing.

I would highly recommend Margate Animal Hospital. The office staff was so nice, kind and cared about my pet. They offered great service, met with the Vet and he listened and understood that I havent as been great on keeping up with appointments. But, he got me up to date and gave some great advice on how to move forward. Overall amazing experience.

Dr. Braun is the best vet and the staff is awesome. They are very caring, gentle to all pets, professional and you are not just a number. He is the only vet I have ever come across that decides what is best for the pet and not his wallet. I have been going to this animal hospital for over five years and highly recommend it.

Dr Berrios has been my cats veterinary for 5 years now. He and his staff at Margate Animal Hospital have always been friendly, responsible and very caring. Prices are fair and he will always try to help us out. I never mind the 40 mnts drive.
