I hate writing reviews like this for a place with such nice people, but Im extremely frustrated with our experience here. We brought our 14 year old cat in because she was showing potential signs of kidney failure (I know these symptoms now, didnt at the time I came in). They got us in right away on a Friday, which was great. I was not impressed, however, with the exam. It felt like the doctor was not thorough, more focused on keeping our cat calm and comfortable. My cat didnt like her trying to look in her mouth (surprise!), so she mentioned that it could be dental. Unsure of what the problem could be, we gave the go ahead on labs and were sent on our way with nothing more for a cat that wasnt eating much and acting lethargic. I got a call with the results and they were normal. He then hard sold me on a dental exam and possible extractions that would total over $1,000. I wasnt buying it, since she began eating again shortly after the visit (switched to wet foods), and had no other signs of major dental disease. Fast forward two weeks, I have to take my cat in again because shes in extreme discomfort. I took her to Arrow Animal Hospital, where the doctor performed a thorough examination and (gasp) looked in her mouth and determined that it wasnt a dental issue (saved us $400 right there...). She did X-rays, which showed enlarged kidneys and a swelling pancreas. I cant help but doubt myself for not getting a second opinion sooner. Something no pet owner should ever have to worry about. Im sorry, but missing enlarged kidneys and pancreas issues is pretty bad. Thats life-threatening. It seemed like they were content with calling it a day and collecting a large amount on the dental exam. Im sure that wouldve helped with her kidneys, right? Ugh. So, i took my cat elsewhere. Thanks to Arrow Animal Hospital (down the street) and their thorough testing (X-Ray, lab panel, and urinalysis -- I would think this is standard in a senior cat), we have a diagnosis. Pyelonephritis (kidney infection). Had Roadrunner sent her home with some simple antibiotics, it might have prevented this from progressing to the point that she was nearly at the end last Friday. Knowing what I know now, Im never referring anyone to this place again. I just cant stomach the fact that my cat likely would have passed away had they put her under for an unnecessary dental surgery.

We brought our cat Luke in after an unfortunate emergency visit to another "emergency" vet clinic. Luke had swallowed a length of thread that had tangled around his tongue and into his esophogus and intestines. He was vomiting and unable to eat or drink. After charging us 400$ the emergency vet cut away the thread from his tongue and told us Luke would require a 3800$ surgery to remove the rest. They never took an x-ray or otherwise examined Luke to make this diagnosis. When we said we could not afford that they gave us pain meds to keep him comfortable and basically sent us home to watch him die. The next day I called Roadrunner on a referral from a friend. The receptionist was attentive and kind. She was able to get me in during my lunch break and arrange for staff to keep Luke there and assess him while I was finishing my work day. Dr. Livermore was kind, caring, and empathetic. He listened to my financial concerns and tailored his exam around our payment restraints without compromising Lukes well being. He also assured me we could figure out the payments after we knew what we were dealing with. X-rays and a proper exam showed Luke had no blockage from the thread but his intestines were inflamed from the experience. We were sent home with a treatment plan (baby food, fluids, and syringe feeding) and the assurance Dr. Livermore would be available for questions. The next few days were filled with worry and a lot of TCL for Luke. I called once with a question and Dr. Livermore called me back almost immediately. He also called twice personally to be sure we were doing well. The best part was we avoided unnecessary surgery and Luke has recovered completely. Instead of a 3800$ surgery we paid 360$ and they are allowing us to pay that interest free over the next 6 months. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Livermore and the awesome staff. I will continue to bring Luke, his sister Leia, and their k-9 buddy Stanley.

It was a WONDERFUL experience!!! I havent had much exposure to vets. Initially it was about a month of progressive weight loss which we had attributed to a change in the dog food, then all of a sudden she stopped eating completely and the next day she began throwing up bile. I called at 8 am and they got me in by 830am!!! They had rushed her in did labs, x-rays, and by diagnosed her with having an intestinal blockage and needing surgery all by 10am. They took her into surgery and kept us up to date every step of they way, we had her home by 530 that night. Everyone there was SOOO kind and caring and VERY attuned to how concerned my daughters were, they explained everything in ways that THEY could understand. They Veterinarian Stephanie was SUPER sweet and included the girls in the exam helping them to feel more comfortable. The tech Lindsay was great, even the receptionist Lynn was constantly asking if she could do anything to help make us more comfortable, make us coffee get us water .... it just seemed like they really went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable. They knew that we were all nervous and upset and they did everything they could to try to comfort us. The prices were NOT unreasonable at all. Although we didnt use it they offered us a payment plan that was interest free for 6 months. They were just AWESOME, they called us the next day to check and see how Lily was dong and to see if we have any questions that we needed answered. EVERYONE there was truly amazing. It certainly made a very difficult situation SOOOOO much more bearable, I would 100% recommend them to ANYONE and I would certainly go back without hesitation!! Thank you SOOOOOOO much Roadrunner Animal Hospital for all that you did taking care of our sweet Lily Dog!!!! We appreciate you!!! <3 Shannon, Mike, Hailey, and Alissa

five stars, we are a low-income family and have had problems trying to get our dogs seen without all the money up front. This office understands the struggles of families and they do everything in their power to help you and your little family members. I have an elderly dog and a pup they are caring and attentive to your needs and your pets needs. Great staff and awesome Docs. I plan to stay for as long as I do own pets... I have gone to them for my elderly dog. Whom was throwing up blood and had loose stool. He gave my doggy the needed meds. And stated to see how this medication worked then if it didnt we would have to do some labs. My dog had eatten something that did not agree with her system. Within a few days she was back to normal. Healthy and Happy. I did not need the labs and the doc took that into consideration and understood we were a family struggling and did not do any un-need things. Unless it was properly needed. These people are not money hungry they are caring... Thank RR. You are the Best...
