Please do not use this location for neutering. We took our 6 month old puppy there and it was a terrible idea. This is a detailed explanation of what happened. The worst part is our poor dog had to suffer unnecessarily. We dropped him off at 7am and saw a bunch of other dogs that were also being fixed that day. I guess their policy is quantity, not quality. His procedure was a bit more complicated and they had to go into his abdomen but we were informed of that in advance. When we picked him up we were told he was fine. He didnt look fine because his stitches and large section of his tummy were covered in dried blood all over. It looked liked a murder scene. They couldnt clean him up a bit? When I had asked, we were told not to put anything on it at all to clean it. ????? We kept his cone on the entire time so he wouldnt lick (he couldnt move to lick even if he wanted) and by the third day he had an infection. We took him in again. I asked for an antibiotic shot and was told no. He got a mild pill antibiotic and that was it. We were told again not to clean it with anything and that his pills will take a few days to kick in. 6th day after the procedure he did not have anymore pain pills, his tummy was huge and the infection looked horrible. The incision looked like it would come apart from the infection any second and both my husband and I went into panic. The puppy would not walk at all from the pain so we had to pick him up and move him around the house. I cried. We took him in again. The vet looked at me in a scolding manner and asked if we were keeping his cone off. I snapped because I did exactly as they said and they still tried pointing the finger at me. We were given another antibiotic and they asked me why I wasnt cleaning the wound with hydrogen peroxide. Really???? After I was told Not to clean it with anything? We chose to go to second vet at Apollo Animal Hospital. Best decision ever. After explaining the situation he told us that hydrogen peroxide was not the best idea because its too harsh. We were told he actually needed 2 different kinds of antibiotics and were given an actual explanation of why. The vet said that he was probably in a lot of pain still considering he refused to walk and he cried anytime his little tummy got lightly touched so we got some more pain pills and 2 topical cleaners as well. This vet was great because he took time to talk to us and within 1 day our little guy started walking again. In 3 days he did a complete 180 and was trying to run in the yard. DO NOT GO TO BANFIELD. Please go to Apollo if you care about your pets.

The only reason this place is getting a 3 is because I cant do a 2 1/2 and I dotn think they did THAT had to get a 2. I VERY frustrated with this place especially right now. There has been good experiences there un doubtedly but for only having brought my puppy in 4 times and to already have them screw up is COMPLETELY inexcusable. They are supposed to be professionals and have processes that also reflect that. My puppy injured his arm and he was taken in for xrays not only did it take an extremely long time just to do that, they also proceeded to tell me that I cannot get his Xray results to ensure there is nothing serious until the day and only to tell me that next day that the manager isnt in and we cant know anything until they hear from the manager. They tell me that the manager is the one who has said info from the radiologist and the poor receptionist girl or whoever she is says the manager isnt in and the manager isnt answering any calls, texts, or emails, while we sit here hoping there is no serious harm to my puppy and that him walking around another day isnt further injuring himself. I understand something could be tied up the manager but you have a process where all results are dependant on ONE person? How idiotic.

why cant a vet & staff listen to the problems explained to them ? go in for urinary issues with my 11 yr old dog and they look in her ears for problems, still has issue with urinary infection and now allergies they were afraid to advise for over a phone call. Field vets use to advise over the phone. What happened to you Banfield. Fortunately theres internet research. Not like they didnt care but try listening, now its going to cost more for me & my girl has been made to suffer longer from your lack of listening skills. Little less selling & more caring please.

Do not go here, took my dog for ear infection twice in two weeks and she had a problem and would not even let me speak to a vet, I was very upset since she was falling over and they would not see her that day. I can not believe a vet would not stay past five oclock to see her, it could have been a stroke these vets are not dedicated to animals STAY AWAY, if you love your pet. I only gave one star because it would not let you post if you gave no stars, these vets deserve minus stars

I took my cat here when she chipped a tooth and they were so loving towards the animals here and fixed her right up by pulling the tooth. I now have a plan with them that covers all visits in the hospital and it is great.
