I brought my 4 month old pup in who was nervous. The younger male assitant was great. Came in slow gave her treats was trying to help comfort her. This was a big moment for my dog as its a new surrounding and this is how she learns who people are etc. Both times prior to bringing her in we had the female doctor who was great, this time however we had the older male vet who, wanted my pup muzzled (which I understood and agreed) scared dpgs can be dangerous. But as soon as I put the muzzle on her he stopped trying to befriend her and came right at her, picked her up BY THE FUR ON HER BACK and slammed her on the table pinning her down! She peed everywhere,along with her anal glands being let off. This traumitized my dog! She now has a super hard time being anywhere new and instead of just being nervous, shes been showing signs of aggression ever since! I just couldnt believe it! He was very insensitive to her worries. My breeder and trainer told me shes never heard of such a behavior from a vet. Insane! Now I have to spend 100 possibly 1000s to socialize her with a profesional trainer to change her perception of strange people.

Unfortunately my Knight in shining fur Fatboy contracted heartworms and Dr. Baes has taken such great loving care for him and provided reassurance to us on the treatment which hes doing very well on in fact so far Fatboy has shown no symptoms such as coughing from it! We keep him under 24/7 monitoring and from getting excited, running or jumping as he advised us when we brought him home. I will recommend West Flint Animal Hospital to all my family and friends from now on which they were recommended to us by my fiances cousin who once worked with them! I have never encountered such a great Veterinary practice and just love how Dr. Baes interacts with the animals and the twinkle in his eyes plus his beautiful smile that also is reflected in his eyes. He truly cares for each client that paws through the doors

I will be switching over to West Flint as my primary vet. Dr. Shaker saved my dogs life and did not charge me outrageously. Staff was very compassionate, the best I have seen. My dog had to be taken into their care for treatment for a serious intestinal problem that could have killed him. I came to pick him up after 4 hours and he was already 100x better than I left him. As I was standing in line to pay I felt every staff member who walked by knew my dogs name and they all addressed him by saying stuff like, "Way to hang in there", or " You were a good boy today." As a pet owner of a seriously ill pet that was an amazing feeling to know he was taken care of. Best vet clinic I have been to! Prices are very reasonable. You can tell everyone, including the vets love their job.

I love West Flint Animal Hospital. I took my kitty to Dr. Baes because he was crying, which was very odd for him, and we found he needed very serious surgery. The Dr. said my kitty was in rough shape and didnt know if he would make it. It would be 55 dollars to put him down, 400 for a quick temporary fix, or 800 dollars for the surgery. I told Dr. Baes I was a broke college student and would have to do with the first option. He left to go prepare what he needed and came back saying, "I was a broke college student too. I will do the surgery for 100 dollars." Apparently it costs more to do the surgery for just the things needed. He lost money on saving my kitty. I will never go anywhere else with another pet.

Dr.Michael S.Shaker is such a AWESOME Doctor. I really dont know what I would of done without this hard working team they have at this Hostipal. The staff is so friendly & kind. I must speak forsure for the girls at the desk. They work so hard too justed to fit you in asap. And they also work so HARD also. I just love them for being so supporting & friendly for it being my first time ever being a new customer & now a forever one. Thanks for the surgeons for the miracle you did on Jasimes ACL she has had a GREAT RE-COVERY!!!! All because of all of you & your TEAM!!! At West Flint Animal Hospital

Shortly after moving to a new area, it had become obvious that our furry babygirl of 16 yrs. no longer had a good quality of life and needed to be put to sleep. I was really nervous about taking her to a place wed never been before, especially for something this sensitive, but Im so glad we did. They made it so special for us. After the meds were injected, the lights were dimmed and we were left alone to say goodbye for as long as we needed. Weve been going here ever since, with our other animals. They really do care and Im never afraid that the bill will be outrageous. Great place!

The staff is great, and the care they provide is way above average. They are inexpensive and dont charge a walk-in fee. I have a pitbull and they are so good with her. They are so gentle with her, even when it takes two of us to hold her down because she hates people messing with her ears and paws. (She wont bite, just wiggle out of your grasp.) Ive been to other vets that get all skittish because shes a pitbull, but here that doesnt matter, shes just another member of the family. I will never take my baby anywhere else.

I just took my dogs in for rabies shots and it was a pleasant experience. We were put in a room right away although it may have been because they wouldnt stop barking. I have a beagle and a rottweiler and they can be pretty loud. Usually the vet acts skiddish around my rottweiler but this guy was great. I would reccomend this place to evryone. The best thing about it is they dont charge you for walking in the door like some places. It cost me 38.00 for both dogs and i was out in minutes.

Had a great experience at West Flint Animal Hospital! My dog tends to get anxious around other dogs and I was nervous about bringing him in. The entire staff was kind, helpful, and accommodating to my concerns and made his appointment very stress-free. The vet answered some questions I had, even though my appointment ended after hours on a Friday evening. I will definitely be bringing my dogs back here for future appointments!

Ive been a pet parent my entire life and just cannot recommend West Flint Animal Hospital enough. My rescue dog has anxiety issues and the staff is always very kind, gentle, and understanding with him. I loved in Oakland County for a few years and would drive back to Flint anytime my dog needed treatment for even minor issues. They are great with my cats and very patient with me when I get overly concerned about small issues.

I have had a wonderful experience with each veterinarian at this office but I am especially grateful for Dr. Limbaugh and how much she cares for my dog! He had an allergic reaction and she rushed back to the office after hours to take care of him. They are very companionate and wonderful veterinarians and they also have the friendliest vet techs and staff. I cant say enough about West Flint Animal Hosptial.
