My cat was having bladder issues and my regular vet couldnt get him in on short notice. My friend told me about Country Cat Clinic so I decided to give them a call... they were able to get me in right away, which was perfect. Dr. Palen knew exactly what was wrong with him and was able to come up with a treatment plan quickly. He ended up with a urinary tract blockage and had to stay two nights, however, Dr. Palen and the staff really went above and beyond. They came in after hours (on a holiday weekend, no less) to check on him. While hes not completely out of the woods just yet, he was able to come home with me. Dr. Palen also gave me her number and told me I was free to text her if had any questions or concerns about my kittys behavior while hes recovering. I noticed none of the other reviews really addressed this, but cost can be a factor in the decision-making process when your pet becomes sick. Country Cat Clinic is extremely reasonable, especially considering the superb care your cats will receive. To give you an idea, my cats 2 night stay which included him needing anesthesia several times, lab work, a slew of medication, and a rather large supply of prescription food was just under $700. After the phenomenal care my cat received, Country Cat Clinic has become my new vet for both of my cats :)

Amazing vets! Highly recommend (and Im super fussy about care for my cats). I really dont get those negative reviews. It IS suspicious that they all include "Kristina" in their reviews as keid8 is correct: she doesnt even go by that name. Makes you wonder. Anyway, back to my review. Ive been taking my cats to Dr. Kaufeld for 20+ years. In fact, the first cat I ever took to Dr. Kaufeld lived for almost 22 years! In my humble opinion, that speaks volumes about the quality of her care and the depth of her knowledge. I cant recommend her highly enough. If I could give her more stars, I would. Im so thankful I found a vet like her and I hope everyone takes their cats to her. She knows her stuff, plus shes wonderfully patient and kind. Shes a blessing to cats (and their people)!

I’ve been using Country Cat Clinic since 2010. Dr. Racey and Dr. Kaufeld have been fabulous under very trying circumstances. My two Maine Coons came to me as older cats with lots and lots of problems. That means I have spent a lot of time at Country Cat Clinic and experienced first-hand the patience and empathy that makes this practice unique. After four years battling everything from tooth extractions to allergic reactions, both boys developed cancer and had to be euthanized within 5 months of each other. I couldn’t have made it through the diagnoses, surgeries, medications, and difficult decisions without these two amazing vets. Not everything turns out the way we want it to, but the process really really matters. I only wish they could be my own doctors.

I HIGHLY recommend Country Cat Clinic. Ive had cats my entire life and have been to many vet clinics/hospitals. Country Cat Clinic is superior by far. Dr.Kaufeld is great! She has worked wonders on my cats when others have failed. There is no question in my mind that she will figure out what is ailing a cat. She is extremely knowledgeable and caring. She loves all cats and will do whatever it takes to diagnose and treat her patients.Dr. Kaufeld is extremely patient and will answer all questions. The clinic is super clean and the entire staff is wonderful. If you love your cat and want the best care possible, taking them to the Country Cat Clinic is the number one choice. I live 50 to 60 minutes away, but it is well worth the journey.

I, too, am mystified by any negative review. Dr Tina Kauffeld is legendary in the Washtenaw County area for her extraordinary care and kind demeanor with both cats and their people. She has high standards for professionalism and instills this in all her personnel. Ive been a client of hers for 26 yrs. In fact, she is also known as one of the top feline diagnosticians in the Midwest (among professionals)- meaning that she also saves money for patients, because she doesnt do a lot of unnecessary tests that many other inexperienced vets do because feline medicine is quite different than veterinary medicine for other animals. The Country Cat Clinic goes above and beyond in every way - if I could rate them 100 stars out of 5, I would.

This is the best Vet in the area. I have been trying to find a Vet for my cats since I moved to this area 5 years ago. My cat had sudden weight loss over the last week and Country Cat clinic was able to fit us in at the last minute yesterday. They stayed past closing to help us, were very knowledgeable and explained everything that they did and made sure that I was comfortable giving medication. They even call us today to make sure that that our cat was feeling better(other vets in the area I have had to call multiple times just to get test results), which he is, thankfully. We still have a long road until hes 100% but I know that with the Country Cat clinic he will have the best chance for a full recovery. Thank you all so much.

We have taken our furry felines to see Dr. Racey at CCC for 5 years and have no complaints about the quality of service from her or any of the staff at the clinic. As for costs, they are in line with other top notch clinics and we fully believe in the old adage "You get what you pay for!" Dr. Racey is an exceptional vet, always providing us with treatment and test options, weighing the pros and cons of each. Her compassion for her clients and their people owners is top-notch. She is very gentle with all cats and knows how to help make scared kitties feel a little less scared. Thank you so much for all of you have done for our kitties. We really appreciate it!

After visiting another vet 2 times in the Plymouth/Northville area to treat a recurring eye infection in my cat we finally decided to call the Country Cat Clinic. The vet was wonderful and spent at least a half an hour explaining what she thought was going on and the steps we could take to fix the problem. Unlike the other vet, Dr. Racey actually addressed me instead of talking to the cat the whole time which was really nice (eye contact is always good). Im happy to report that the eye infection cleared up and hasnt been back in about six months. Ill definitely be taking my other cat here from now on as well.

Be prepared for your cat to be given the wrong medication, the wrong dose of medication, ineffective medication, and botched procedures if you take it to this place. The staff at this place are the "worst". The main vet, Kristine (Tina) Kaufeld, has a superficial knowledge of veterinary medicine. You can learn more about cat care by reading online articles than by consulting this vet. And it wont cost you the exorbitant prices that this place charges. Its no wonder that the clinic offers $5.00 to any existing clients who brings a new customer to the cat clinic! Thats how one keeps the Ponzi scheme going!
