My family has been going to Dr. Silbert for years. When we moved, we still make the 45-minue trip, rather than finding a local optometrist. When my eyes and age reached the point where I should see an opthalmalogist instead of optometrist, I was very disappointed to leave his care -- but still happily bring my kids. (And while Ive followed his advice to see a specialist, I bet he could have managed my eyes fine -- after all, he was the one who solved my daughters chronic eye pain, after several extremely expensive specialists couldnt!) Hes professional, friendly, and highly skilled. His fees are extremely affordable, and he is generous with samples of contacts so that you know that what you are buying will really work for you. His office is pleasant, his receptionist very friendly and efficient, and scheduling is easy. They only see us annually, yet still remember us and greet us warmly when we come. Whatever negative review was here (it seems to have been removed), I cant imagine them being accurate. I cant recommend this practice strongly enough!

I agree with those who like Larry Silbert: easy, helpful and armed with the latest optical equipment. His assistant is certainly perky at times but hardly one with problems of her own. For those who have read the negative review, dont be intimidated: go see for yourself. This is not a mysterious, terrifying voyage into the unknown, for Gods sake!!!

Very recently made my annual visit to Dr. Silbert at Costco Optical, Waltham. He always takes good care of my contact lens needs, and very professional (Ive never had to wait to see him when I come in with an appointment, though I believe he takes walk-ins). I would not think about switching to another eye doctor.
