This place really is bad. A sad example of the horrible healthcare system we have in our country. Ive gone there 6 times for the same problem and I still have the same problem. They rush you in and out of there instead of taking the time to actually figure out what is wrong. And they collect their copay each time. They even charged me the wrong copay several times. The doctors gave me medicine but very poor instruction on how to administer it; with or without contacts in, whether to take it with the other medications they prescribed. Horrible. They thought I should try a new contact lens, threw them at me at said see how these work. This was a different kind of lens I had never used before, but they provided no instruction. Luckily I knew some people that had used them before so I could ask them. So why am I paying the doctor?

Dear James Umlas, MD Im a former patient of yours back when I lived in Lexington, MA and you saw me because of partial blindness in left eye, which recovered on its own in a week. My actual doctor at Lexington Eye Associates saw patients at Emerson Hospital location and believe hes since retired. Anyway, I had Fuchs Cornea problem from your video and am cured now. I spent ten years watching a small TV from a distance, day-in-day out. Gave up TV after symptoms grew worse from Fuchs Cornea problem, watched your video and an Aha! moment. Brain cells grow back and so cornea cells grow back. Presto. My vision is all better and can see fully again now. Thanks for your insight and assistance. You helped me more than you know. Sincerely Maria Leng

I took my daughter to to the office to get the prescription for lens and eye glasses. A month later I got the bill for $380. If you only need to get prescription, this is not the place to go.

Hes very competent, reliable and doesnt overtreat. A perfect doctor? Almost. His ties are ugly and cheap-looking.
