This place have very unprofessional people working there, starting with the receptionists in the front, they look miserable, they talk and treat clients like garbage, they have No Compassion whatsoever!! they screw up the clients appointments, they dont have the decency to call clients and let them know that their appointment has been cancelled cause the provider called in sick. They wait until the client gets to the bldg to let them know their appt has been cancelled, some clients dont own a car, some clients transportation consist on taking 3 buses to get there. If any of the clients try to stand up for themselves and ask for an explanation about appointments been cancelled with no notification..the receptionists call security on clients to intimidate them. The clients have the right to ask questions and stand up for themselves. They also will write you up and threaten to kick you out of your appartment, they like to keep you in the dark about important things that will benefit the clients, thats the way they keep you under their control, very negative environment. These has happened repeatedly, Shame on these receptionists. The Case Managers.. dont even get me started!! Beware of Darlene Davies and Shane they misused their authority when they were in charge of the housing program. They are Horrible people. Case Managers are only there to collect their paycheck for doing nothing for their clients!! They are a Disgrace to that profession, they try to teach clients to be more assertive, stand up for yourself, call us if you have any questions or concerns... when the time comes when a client needs her/his Case Manager, to advocate for their clients, case managers at Grater Lakes will throw their clients under the bus, clients will be standing there all alone with No Help! and no one holds these people(case managers) accountable for what theyve done to their clients. If I was to perform my job the way these individuals do theirs.. I wouldnt be able to live with myself, nor sleep at night!! They make so many promises to clients, the housing program they were managing not too long ago, it was a disaster!! Grater Lakes placed clients in apts that were in deplorable conditions, they inflicted fear on the clients if they dare to complain or request for the work that was needed to be perform in these apts. Theyre only there to steal your rent money to pay for a toxic deplorable Apts, these organization also call around to get grants for the service theyre supposed to provide for their clients. Stop donating any Money to Grater Lakes, theyre stealing your money every time they get a grant from the community.They behave like criminals and gansters, Bonafide Criminals and Gansters that get credit for causing so much damage in peoples lives!! People of Washington, specially Lakewood and Tacoma..BEWARE of Grater Lakes Organizations they are Despicable Human beings. They need to change the name of that place, from "Grater Lakes" to "Grater Snakes". I garantee you theres nothing grate about that place.

Went here a few years back for help with severe mental trauma and dissasociation. (Had been to catholic community services previously for 5 sessions which i paid with money i didnt have and forwent food for mental health) My intake was fairly fast. And I requested specific therapy. Was paired with a counselor. And knew almost immediatly that she was a good fit. She listened. Did not show shock or revulsion at the cruelty i had endured. And I asked her to research something she didnt understand. Expecting her not to. I was suprised she did, even with a full caseload. This is the place for low income therapy!!!!! DO NOT. Go to Comprehensive in Tacoma. I refused. And it was worth the longer ride for my recovery...

This place for me at this time is really cool, got me(finally) a concealer whom says is staying around. Gave it a lie mark for before I would see someone a few times and they would leave. It is now happening to my emotional, must get meds evaluation, but she sees someone no more then 3 times then they resigns/ leaves, not even having the balls to speak you those who had faith in them to get help in order to get better, instead, some one from main building calls to say that person has left. That is low. Why cant this place keep people? It isnt the main building where its much more stressful? Dont get this at all, it is bs. So 3 stars is cus I have so far an awesome case worker.

I love this place everyone is so nice and the staff there make you feel like your the most important person there. I promise you if you decide you need mental health help or just need someone to talk to go here is give this place 10 ,⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
