I brought in a stray (female husky) to be checked out for any diseases and fleas. The stray did not want to jump on the scale and I did not know if she liked being picked up (I only found her the previous day). So the vet tech decided to muzzle her which I agreed would be a smart idea. This is where everything went downhill. The vet tech was a young girl who seemed to be new (or at least acted like she didnt know what to do). She acted scared of the dog. She and another young girl brought the dog into another room to muzzle her. I heard the dog cry out and when I went to investigate, the dog had run into a different room with the leash still attached and the techs were by a sink. They ignored my questions so I went to get the dog and went back to the exam room. Ten minutes later I found out the dog had bit one of the techs. The vet wouldnt tell me if it was bad but she did say they had to call animal control. The stray was taken by animal control to be quarantined for 10 days and I have to pay $135 to get her out. If I dont claim her as my own, then they will put her to sleep. The vet would not examine the dog while we waited for animal control (which took a while) which is sad because the stray had a bad flea problem and some sort of skin condition on her ear and paws. I do not know if she has heart worms or any other problems. I do know that this would not have happened if I went to another vet who had techs who knew how to handle dogs. The vet seemed nice enough but I will not go back there. If you have animals that are docile, then this might be the vet for you. If you are like me and pick up a stray or have a dog that doesnt like to be touched by strangers, then do not go here! No dog likes to be muzzled and any dog can be bite if put in a situation where they are scared. Vets have to employ people who know how to handle dogs no matter what their temperament is. Now this poor dog is isolated at an animal shelter and wont receive help for 10 days. All because I chose the wrong vet.

My dog was throwing up in the morning (for about 3 hours) and so I called them and they said I needed to get my dog in right away. I did so. It took me 2 hours to get through the whole process once there-- They did a ton of test on my dog (all of which were prob not neccessary... I feel that they should have suggested to wait it out for 24 hours). After the test, they determined it was just a stomach bug. THEN, they proceeded to try and get me to buy anti diarreah meds, throwing up med, a throw up shot, AND special food (a total of $100). It just shocked me that they would try to charge me a total of $350 just because my dog had a stomach bug. The staff were somewhat pushy and it seemed like they wanted money out of me. I DO NOT recommend this place. ALSO, a side note. This is my first time to rate a place bc I am not a picky person... but this place is awful. Dont go.

I was referred to West Davis Veterinary clinic by our groomer at Petco in Conroe Tracy. We had to take our munchkin Muta in because he had round worms they were gracious enough to squeeze us in being new patients. No other clinic was able to fit us in but they really took the time to help us out. We loved that they even sent us a thank you letter a couple days later with theyre signatures and a business card. Every time we run into an emergency issue and I have to give them a call if they can they squeeze us in they do. We are very appreciative and the staff is so nice and helpful Im happy to call them my permanent Veterinary Clinic :)

my cat has diabetes and I took him in to get a glucose test done. They said he should also have urine cultures done to ensure that he didnt have an infection as well. The employees made it seem like the glucose test and the urine cultures were a combination offer and that the price would be the same. After asking for a conformation price I told them to do the procedures. Then, they gave me the bill which was for way more than they said it would be. After already being angry at this, they tried to sell me cat diet food which was way more expensive. I would not recommend this vet because they were pushy and deceiving.

I visited the clinic with all 4 of my dogs and I loved it! The staff here were very nice and helpful! The Doctor seemed to care so much for my dogs and she recommended everything that would be in my pets best interest! They met me with smiling faces and they new my name and my pets name when I walked in the door. The Doctor even gave me a personalized report card at the end of my visit stating everything she found upon their exam! I recommend this place to all of my friends and family! Wonderful place to go!

Started going here a few years ago, they have been through a few different doctors but Ive seen the same one a few times now. The staff is great, a blend between younger and older. Everyone was nice, easy to talk to. When I took my dog there when he was sick they recommended doing some testing/things that were a bit out of my budget, so I asked for some alternatives which they were able to do for me. Vet care is pricey! So is everything else though. Overall good place to go for care for my little guy.

Came to bring my adopted dog in for establishing care/ get immunizations in order/ get meds for parasite prevention. Veterinarian (Dr. Lynne), Vet Tech (Ashlei), and staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Explanations were thorough and had an opportunity to ask a variety of questions. I had an overall very good experience, plan on returning, and will recommend to other domestic animal pet owners (@ least of dogs and cats).

The vets, vet techs and support staff at West Davis are all very caring, attentive and helpful. You can tell they love animals and they treat their patients as if they were their own pets. I always feel confident knowing my girl is getting top-notch care. Recommended to anyone in the area looking for a new veterinarian.

I have taken my cats to West Davis Vet Clinic since 1975. The doctors and staff there have always been courteous, kind and professional. The doctors at W.D.V.C will do everything they can to help your pet live a happy and healthy life. I would highly recommend this vet clinic to everyone.

We took our American Bulldogs in just to get their nails clipped. No one has been able to clip the youngest ones nails before without sedation. The staff here was so patient and persistant. They did an amazing job and he made new friends! Thanks to the staff at West Davis!!!!
