I have been to this clinic several times over the past few years. Up till latter last year I respected their service, but now they are getting several young new faces, learners/on-hand experience I suppose and they seem knowledgeable, but mention too much about the conditions making it confusing to choose which method to work best and they dont have knowledge of all methods or they just dont want to mention the least expensive most effective ones. If I had not done research myself, I would have not known my options and paid much more for them to practice every method they mentioned which was not necessary. Needless to say, I chose a method/treatment that wasnt even mentioned that I had to mention myself from what I learned online which was the cheapest and most accurate method that worked. It was a problem with one of my cats eyes which was infected and all he needed was antibiotic drops but the young girl wanted to do surgery because she said it was a cist??!!! Good Grief!!! I told her I wanted to try the antibiotic drops first to see if they would work and it did. My cats eye got infected because it was playing with another cat and it scratched him in the eye. The eye drop antibiotic took care of it right away and it completely healed up. Its been a year now since that happened and he is completely normal. They charge the highest rates they can. When I was fostering animals from the shelter, I asked them for help in lower-cost charges, but didnt get that. They are a full-priced service no matter what and no matter how often you use them and no matter how much you have spent! If your pet has a severe condition, better to take it to an animal hospital since this clinic cannot do all testing and they have to send it out anyway which would cost extra. Ive had two cats die and the latter which I spent $800 on to get a leg fixed ended up getting sick 10 months later which I was treated poorly for since I didnt catch her illness earlier - Am I a vet to know such problems?????? Anyway, she was dehydrated but she was gulping water daily during hot time of year so I didnt expect any dehydration and therefore test if she was dehydrated. Then I read online after her passing that she could have had a liver problem since she was drinking allot of water. Well, sorry, I didnt know to recognize that so thats my fault? She passed away that day at the vet. Unfortunately I didnt notice her illness till the last minute she was gasping for breath while she was drinking water. I didnt like how I was treated about that since I had not noticed beforehand anything irregular with her. It was very upsetting to me that I didnt notice any signs earlier since I spent $800 10 months earlier getting her leg fixed when she was a limping "stray" and decided to keep her. As far as the secretarys, the two "big" girls, dont know their names, were snotty behaving not matter how nice and friendly I was, but the last time I went they were not there so hopefully they got terminated because for three separate times I visited, they were not friendly at all. I was also being charged for two types of surgerys when my cat had her leg surgery. If I had not made them explain in detail the itemized bill, I would not have learned of it and paid another $200 for that. Watch your bills and what you are being charged for. They do go to the extreme in charging you!!!!!! I have a cat with a nose/eye condition that I am looking for another vet for. I will not go back to Conroe Vet Clinic. I dont like getting new vets there almost every time and I dont like being "accidently" overcharged and I dont like being treated poorly about my cats condition and I dont like only being told about the most expensive treatments!! Yah, the veterinarians may be nice, but that doesnt mean they are being fully honest and reasonable.

I brought my VERY ill cat there expecting to be raked over the coals with my bill and my cat couldnt even hold down food and she was in EXTREMELY BAD SHAPE...Down to even hiding under my bed not eating ( shes identical to meet the fockers cat) and I was a first time walk-in wait patient and I didnt even have to wait 20 mins with a full room of appts. I thought oh no there goes work for the day and they even gave me the extra medicine for 2 weeks later so I wouldnt have to come back...When i went to pay my bill she said $59. Dollars please....I said are u sure?? This is Bella the patient thats it?? She said yeah and I about hit the floor....my uncle is a vet in Alvin Tx. And the drive from lake conroe would have took a long long time to get there and trust me u always end up leaving paying $150 to $250 a pop (not me with my uncle but most ALL VET PLACES DO IT TO PEOPLE and these r the MOST DOWN TO THE EARTH VERY WELCOMING SUPER DUPER HONEST I PEOPLE IVE EVER COME ACROSS IN MY LIFE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE ABSOLUTELY!!!! And trust me i do look at reviews and whom ever lost livestock and still had to pay even though they passed away for one thing from experience of how a vet works from hearing my uncle HOUSE CALLS R EXPENSIVE thats the price u have to pay so disregard negative comments about these people because its a bald face lie!! Dr. Umlang and the rest of the vet crew are the best by far at taking care of your animals. It is a shame that they have such a terrible staff on the front counter. My wife and I have lost two of our family pets within this year. The care that these dogs were given were outstanding! Unfortunately the illness took them from us. Dr. Umlang comforted my wife with compassion to our loss. However, once he left the room so did the compassion. The front employee (Heather) was more concerned about rushing my wife for payment so she could get back to talking with her visiting friend. Then, instead of listening to my grieving wife as to the information for our pets cremation, she just grabbed an old file from my wifes ex-husband. The kicker, when my wife called to explain that the cremation service had incorrect naming information on the certificate.... THEY TRIED TO ARGUE WITH MY WIFE THAT IT WAS HER FAULT!!!!!! I understand that the clinic is a business, however dealing with pet lovers you would expect some amount of compassion. The Veterinarians and Vet Techs are absolutely amazing, I cannot say enough good about them. It is just a shame that the compassion for your animal and your feelings are not passed on to the clerical staff.

I was suggested this vet by many friends in Conroe. First I went to have my dogs ears checked out. I thought he had ear mites :( Turns out it was a yeast infection and had to do a procedure that cost $115, yikes! Dr. Davis ask me to bring him back in *about* two and a half weeks to make sure he was getting better. 3 weeks later, I take him and my cat in. Dr. Davis scolded me for waiting 3 weeks, instead of the *about* 2 and a half, and made it seem like it was my fault the infection had came back. Although, he never emphasized the importance of bringing him back *exactly* 2 and a half weeks later. So, I had to do the procedure all over again cost another $115. Then, as I was getting my receipt from the clerk, my dog decided to go over to another customer sitting down holding a small dog. My dog decided to put his paws in her lap, examining the other dog. She was very light hearted about it, and just smiled. But, a employee walked by and very rudely said GET DOWN to my dog. I would never scold someone elses animal, especially if I wasnt related to the event in any way. Next time I go to this office, I will let them know of my displeasement and will make sure to request not to see Dr. Davis.
