I brought my dog to this location for the first time on April 8th for a broken nail. The vet explained to me that his nail broke and it was not broken at the bed of the nail and also informed me that he has a blood vessel in the nail and that she was going to need to clip the nail down to where it broke at and to keep the bandage on him until Tuesday and they will remove it. She ensured me it was a simple procedure and should be healed by Tuesday When the vet took my dog back to perform the procedure and brought him back she explained that his nail did not break under the bed that it only broke in the middle of his nail which is a good thing so She grinned it down to smooth it out and bandage it really good for us. My dog was also prescribed pain meds and antibiotics and this visit was a little over $200. Lets fast forward today April 11th I brought my dog back in for his check up and to have his bandage removed. To only find out that his bone is showing from where his nail was clipped down to... When I brought my dog in for minor care of his broken nail it turned into treatment plan B. I didnt end up seeing the same vet as I did in the beginning but when I brought him in on Saturday there was nothing written in his profile that stated he had bone sticking out or etc because if that was the case it wouldnt have been an easy trim nails and apply a bandage to it. My dog didnt run or play outside let alone in the house and he had a e collar on to keep him from grabbing at his wrapped paw. I would have to give this office 1 stars however, I must say the vet that saw us tonight understood my frustration and truly saw how upset I was which the failed care that was provided to us. To only make matters worse I paid $200 plus on Saturday to only turn back around on Tuesday and pay an additional $100 plus on him. So what was suppose to be an easy treatment that the first vet stated it would be turned out to be a $300 plus for a broken nail that wasnt treated properly and now will take an additional 2 weeks to heal along with bandage changes every day for the next 14 days and lets hope he doesnt get a bone infection. Even the vet I saw today stated "Im not sure why she told you to keep the bandage on this long without changing it. The moisture will not help it heal that is what made it worse" I truly should have waited until our Vet was open on Monday to bring him in for treatment it would have saved me a lot of agony, aggravation and money. We were truly looking for a new vet close to our house and not so far away and was let down.

NO STAR! AT ALL! I have been using Best Friends Veterinary Hospital for the past 2 years, and have a dog and one of my cats with them. However, after this experience, I have no intention to ever use them. I brought my older cat on Sunday afternoon since she was feeling very weak and lethargic. We spent 2 hours with a very young vet doctor, that said we need blood work, urine sample, ear swabs because it looks like her ears are inflated, antibiotic injection, etc. I appreciate that the vets need blood work, but I was shocked it took them 48+ hours to get results. The antibiotics and ear swabs were a waste of money since the root cause of her being sick was completely different.... I ended up visiting the urgent care clinic 2 days in a row and talked to other vets to find out that all of them could run blood work in 15 minutes and in-house. Unfortunately, our cat had cardiomyopathy and heart failure, and we could not save her.... I hate writing bad reviews, but I am very disappointed with Best Friends and will not recommend it to anyone. The vet doctor that took care of us was young and not experienced enough to realize my cat was in a critical condition, compared to the urgent care vet who almost immediately told us that we have a serious issue and were shocked that Best Friends is taking more than 48 hours to get blood results back.... I did not feel any empathy from the staff at Best Friends and I felt I was taken advantage.. and was ripped off... The horrible feeling we felt being in an unknown situation for 2 days and seeing our cat get worse was horrible... Again I appreciate that my cats condition, unfortunately, was irreversible, so even if we found out Sunday or Tuesday it wouldnt change the outcome... But at least we wouldnt have let her suffer those extra days. This is so unprofessional! The treatment and service I got at another urgent care clinic, and even pricing, was so much better, and the staff and vets were a lot more experienced and genuinely cared and were supportive to our entire family.

Took my cat in for her first visit and she was biting and scratching until she created scabs all over herself. They gave her an antibiotic, an oral medication, and cleaned her wounds, for $150.00. Less than a week after bringing her there my cat became ill with a common cold-she showed typical symptoms of sneezing, lethargy, watery eyes, and stuffy nose. I am certain whatever she caught was from the her previous visit. I scheduled another appointment where they charged me for more antibiotics for her scabs (which were completely fine and healed at this point-not to mention I had some left at home) and told me they would put an antihistamine in the medicine. I gave my cat the first dose of the new medicine and she immediately began vomiting it up/foaming at the mouth. The medicine was clearly not an option. The vet refused to refund the money for the medicine or offer an alternative for the cats sneezing. In other words- the $150 was for nothing. Upon reviewing my cats paperwork, I also noticed that my cat lost almost 2 pounds in 11 days. I brought it to the vets attention and it was shrugged off like not big deal. For a frame of reference- that would be the equivalent of 130lb person dropping 20lbs in one week. My cat is still sick, but I refuse to take her back there. Stay away- all they care about is your money, not your pets health or needs. They charge you an arm and a leg and send you out the door with generic "fix-all" antibiotics or other medication without personalizing the visit to YOUR pet, or performing a thorough examination.

I was treated very unprofessionally by Michelle. She refused to allow me to purchase the medication for my dog. The medication in which they prescribed. I have had no issues getting the medication in the past and now all of a sudden I needed costly tests that I havent budgeted for .... before I could get my dogs monthly worm medication without a problem. I explained that I really needed the medication and that I could do the tests at a later time. Michelle told me that I could go someplace else. I let her know that I really didnt want to go someplace else, but she insisted. I then asked her if she could send me a copy of my dogs medical files so I could go else where and she replied, "um you can come here and pick them up if you really want them." Its unfortunate that they have someone so rude servicing customers. The doctor who helped me a few months back and the tech were so amazing. I hope they know they have someone running people off and referring them to take their business elsewhere. Without customers, Michelle wouldnt have a job! I wish she would have been able to help me get the medications my dogs need, instead she denied and dismissed me and was very rude. Due to her dismissive attitude, I have to relocate my dogs. So sad! If something happens to my dogs because she refused to sell me their normally prescribed medications, I will take legal action.
