This would be the last place that I would ever take my pets. Upon arriving into the city, I picked Petsmart because they are a reputable company. However I found the staff unable to handle the volume of patients. I waited 50 minutes in an exam room, even though I had an appointment. I had to wait another 25 minutes just to pay my bill! The doctors were knowledgeable but have no connection with my cat. Every time I went (once a month), I had to explain his background because they had no idea about his condition, nor did they even recognize him. There was no personal touch. The prices were on the expensive side and they didnt have his medication available whenever I went. The desk staff seemed unfit to handle a busy position. They were confused and I had to talk them through what I should be charged for. I actually could have just walked out and they would be none the wiser. Everytime I called, I recieved the standard answer of "I will ask the doctor and call you back", although I never recieved a call back. My new vet had to leave several messages just to get them to send over his diabetic records, and even then, they were enable to send the results of his expensive bloodwork because they "forgot". My pet is important to me, so if I am paying them good money to take care of us, I expect professionalism, caring, and hopefully in a timely manner. At Banfield, there is nothing.

I had a HORRIBLE experience. I brought my cat there for a deep dental cleaning that was desperately needed because of a mouth infection, I got a call saying my cat could possibly have heart murmur and would need expensive X-Rays this is unbelievable since my cat had recently gotten a clean bill of health from another doctor, ultimately after a lot of stress i was told that they would not be able to do the procedure because they were unable to insert the sedation catheter in his arm because he was frantic! I thought this along with everything else they told me was bull. I went back to get my cat and had a LARGE bill even though the service that i brought him there for was not done!.. I got the feeling that this place is all about trying to find extra ways to charge you, Up sell you, and milk you for all the money they could while doing little to nothing in return. This whole situation just put me and my cat under a lot of stress and At this point i have to take my cat somewhere else for the service that i didnt receive from them But got a large bill for! I feel hurt and bamboozled and will thoroughly seek justice for this!

They play with the pet owners feelings and always want to make a piggy bank out of your pet by prescribing things that they do not need and charging more. GREED is in their mission statement and do not care about the pet owners feelings. They start prescribing things that do not work and try to do everything in their power to get a penny out of them. They claim they have a health insurance that will cover most of the vaccines and treatments, but guess what, you will always end up paying for "extra things" that the insurance does not cover unless you "upgrade" and end up spending more and more and more and more. They have a high turnaround in doctors and they are very impersonal with no bedside manners. We have been taking our dog there for a while and because we do not want to pay for a $2000 operation that might kill her because she is old they suggested for us to put her to sleep. Granted, our dog is old, but why would suggest to put your family member to sleep when is acting perfectly fine. Do yourselves a favor, dont spend your money, time and feelings in this place.

WORST EVER! CANT GET THEIR INFORMATION STRAIGHT! Basically, my dog was in that clinic for hours without treatment because one of their own personnel messed up! I took my dog in on 2 different occassions for treatment and BOTH times after paying for services they called me to tell me that I still owe 90 (after alredy having paid over 300!) after I ASKED is there anything else I need to pay before leaving and both times they reassured me everything was taken care of. So the 2nd time, they called me at work to say i owed 90 after I already spoke to the lady at the front when i dropped off my dog and she told me everything was paid. I had told them my friend was gonna pick up the dog so I cant make that payment the same day, which is why I asked BEFORE I left if I still owed, and that if I can make an arrangement to pay when I can physically come in. All they said was "ok well just stop treatment for the day". I might as well have kept my dog home! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT LOCATION!!!!

Our new family member - 2,5 months kitten was vaccinated at Aventura Banfield, after tree days he was almost in coma and doctors there said he eat plastic or something so they need to perform a surgery on his stomach. (will not mention the estimate).. when we said we couldnt afford it and will go to another hospital, the estimate came down in triple! We went to another facility anyway, they run all the tests and let us know that our kitten has a virus and great infection which could not come from the plastic or other anything if he even swallowed it... he pass away in less than 24 hr.. Our previews 15 yo cat was dying from brain cancer (he lost his sight and sense of smell) and they suggested brain surgery as well.. They are not a real doctors, they are the sales persons in white... they not on the mission of saving your pet, nor really care about it, just money..... Will NEVER come to these "doctors". And we still wondering where from that virus and infection came from...

If I can give them 0 stars I would. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE. SERIOUSLY! Scamming and inhumane service. I brought my cat in for a evaluation, and the vet was vague and told me my cat is blocked and if left untreated he will die by tonight. They wanted to charge me $500 and some change to run blood work and X-Ray to confirm. I told them I couldnt afford it, so they told me and I quote "Well give him the best last night of his life, we cant help you". I broke down crying and almost had a panic attack in the office. I left and desperately started calling my bank to get money from my savings. When I went back, the doctor said his shift was over and he wont help me and told me "Good Luck" I took my cat to Hollywood Animal Hospital, and just for $90, they ran tests on him and prescribed 3 oral antibiotics to treat UTI. The vet told me to bring him in free of charge next day so she can monitor him. Some do it for the love of animals and some for the pay.

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! THEY KILLED MY DOG! I came to this place with my dog for a tooth cleaning. He was 6 years old, he was suppose to stick around until her was 12 years old. But my biggest mistake was driving over to banfield in aventura. my dog was a healthy dog, i gave it them alive and then i received a call from them that my dog never woke up from the procedure. This happened on March 23, 2015 and today is April 15 2015 and they have not gaven me his ashes and they told me they lost his collar. They gave my dog too much anesthesia and killed him. and then they wanted to charge me the tooth cleaning. I basically told them off and they still charged me . I also had my dog in the insurance and even though they killed your dog they you still have to pay the whole year. This place just steal your money and mistreat your pet. HORRIBLE PLACE! If you guys love your pet do not bring him here. it could be the last car ride you have with him/her. :(
