I have had an on-going problem with some of the office staff being unprofessional and their procedures inconsistent. Normally, before appointments I receive multiple text messages regarding upcoming appointments, almost to the annoying level. So today, I was surprised to get a phone call 38 minutes after my sons appointment saying we missed an appointment. When I called to apologize I was told I would have a $50 "no show" fee. So when I let her know I did not receive the standard reminders I have come to rely on, I was met with condescending bordering on disrespectful comments like..."Our texts are a courtesy, not a requirement," and "I asked all our other patients today and they all received their reminders." Then she attempted to change the subject to tell me I have a $30.00ish credit and my fee will only be $20ish. Umm, commonsense tells me the fee is still $50.00 regardless of the credit!! And why do I have this credit? And if so, why am I just hearing about It? So, she then looked into the computer system and did, in fact, see that my reminders were turned off by them. This was proceded by blaming someone else for this error followed by blaming this third party who operates this system. No apology...just excuses. To top it off, in a sarcastic tone, she said she would be happy to drop the charge, but that I was just attempting to get out of paying the $50.00. The juvenile behavior was astounding! This was my first time missing a medical appointment here or ever. I will be taking my familys business elsewhere and writing a letter to not only the dentists at all locations, but to the insurance company as well. After reading other reviews here, and on other sites, I can see I am not the only one to have this type of issue. Hygienists are fine. No complaints there. Regarding dental work, I have had a different doc every time. They have differing assessments and treatment recommendations, which is very confusing. For example, the first doc I saw said I needed to have a few fillings replaced. What she didnt know was that they were only 6 months old. I declined the work (office staff gave me a hard time) and when I came back six months later a different doc said I didnt need them replaced. I understand there are differing opinions within the profession, it is just confusing to the patient. This new business model doesnt work for me. I miss the days where you see the same dentist and staff really knows you and treats you well. Update: I am a military spouse and missed the appointment because the packing company did not finish the pack out on Monday. They were supposed to be done on Friday and certainly by Monday. I had no way of anticipating this by Friday to allow for the 48 cancelation window. Yes, I did forget (and hubby was working), but had I realized the policy, I would have never had allowed the front office to pressure me into scheduling the work. The front office staff was well aware of my circumstances and still shamed me. Dr. Keen would never have responsed this way, then again, I think their business strategy is to have a good cop bad cop thing going. As far as what you do for me, please mail my credit to my current address and it will forward. Thank you. July Update: $50 no show charge mailed to me. Not surprising. I will pay because now I dont trust that they wont send this collections if I dont. Money isnt the issue anyway. It is the principle of the matter for me.

Not impressed. I called to check the price of a root canal and the receptionist said they could not give even an estimate until I was seen. Even though I had just been seen before my move and had current X-rays I decided to make yet another stressful appointment, not to mention they were running a $19 special for a first visit and x-rays. I explained that I had an extreme fear of anything related to dental practices. The receptionist assured me that Dr. Kingsley White was very nice... sorry but walking around with a smile and speaking in a friendly tone of voice does not make you a nice person. It does not make you an empathetic person. And it does not make you the correct dentist for a person with extreme fear. Doctor white could barely be bothered to come into my exam room. She left before I could ask any questions she also never asked me if I had any questions. Megan Birchfield The dental hygienist was the only bright spot in the entire office. He was kind enough to answer my questions through my tears. Doctor White came back in long enough to chastise the dental assistant for not sending my prescriptions along yet and completing my paperwork. Doctor white may be a completely confident and possibly even an exceptional dentist. I have no idea, because I couldnt get past her lack of empathy and neglect of making sure all my fears were considered and addressed. Edit**** Since posting this review I have been contacted not just once but Twice. First by the dental hygienist, the by Jennika Allen, Office Manager. Miss Allen sent me an email hoping to rectify the situation by asking me to see another dentist at another one of their offices. The requirement being that I removed this review. Ive included a snippet from the email below. I feel that my review should stand because that was my experience with D. White but I wanted to edit this review to show that the office did reach out.. "I know that you wanted to make sure your review has reached our upper management, and I can assure you that is has and they have me in charge of following up with you and making it right! They do however, ask that you to remove the review and we can handle your concerns from here. You are being heard! Dr White is new with us.. she moved here from out of state to work with our offices and she is an excellent doctor with great chairside manner, so I truly do apologize that you did not experience that with us. Nice facility, but worse than expected treatment. I thought I found an excellent dentist when they did my wisdom teeth removal, as all four were removed with no issues to the point that I was eating pretty normally less than 2 weeks after the removal, where only negative was the excessive pain medication prescription that was unnecessary. But then I also had metal fillings replaced here, which required multiple bite adjustments when pain was becoming unbearable and also resulted in continued cold sensitivity in left upper tooth to the point I cant eat anything cold on that side, due to the severe pain. (I would later find out at another office that a filling they did wasnt good and had also cracked the tooth causing more direct contact with cold and hot water which was the cause of the sensitivity) Their response to the cold pain was to just keep using sensitive teeth toothpaste, but that was more than 10 months ago and after several followup visits, they wouldnt own up to the error. Besides that left tooth, found out I had an air pocket dead center of one of my molars underneath the filling, that formed a bacterial infection in another tooth. I found this out when my cheek and gums next to the tooth inflamed and started swelling severely. I needed a root canal to take care of the infected tooth, and am less than pleased to find out I had a doomsday clock sitting in my tooth. But switched to a different dentist, they might be good for routine cleaning and preventative work with a good office but wouldnt recommend major dental work get done here.
