The dentists and dental assistants here rock. But their front people are horrible. I had an appointment today at 1. When i went in for the appointment, I was told that they cancelled my appointment. She said that that is the policy now because so many people did not show and since i did not confirm the text that was sent to my landline phone, my appointment was cancelled. The front desk woman was rude and not at all sympathetic to me already waiting over a month for that appointment and then having it cancelled for no reason. I had already gotten a babysitter and cancelled another appointment to attend this one. She had no interpersonal skills and all she could offer me was a smug apology followed by it was my own fault for not responding to a text to my landline. Again, I have no issue with the dentist, the work they do, or the dental assistants. But to update a policy without the patients knowledge and then blame it on the patient while being rude and snotty is not my idea of a good practice.

This place is fantastic. From the moment that one walks through the door, you are transported into something that doesnt seem like a dental office. Everything from the decor in the waiting area, to the professionalism and friendliness of the the receptionists, makes you seemingly forgot that your about to get something done to your mouth. From then a friendly dental assistent comes to get you for x-rays and will ensure that you comfortable. After the main dental work is completely, a dentist will come over and look at your teeth and talk about any concerns that you might have. From there, you recieve a second to none polishing of your teeth. Would not recommend anyone else, these guys are the real deal. If you can, it is worth traveling a bit to get here, top notch. Keep up the good work Smile Department.

Made appointments over a month ago for my wife and I. an email was sent last week by them confirming the appointment, then they called not once, but twice this week to confirm the appointment. then they texted a conformation of the appointment. This morning, 6 hours before our appointment, that I took time off work for, they called and cancelled our appointment. I am assessed a fee if I cancel less than 48 hours in advance, but they can mess up my schedule and then cancel with only 6 hours notice, and Im left up the creek? Thanks but no thanks, well be taking our family of 4 elsewhere.

My whole family goes which is 6 of us and we all have done great there was 1 time my son had received too much Anesthesia and scared me to death, actually made me cry and felt like something was wrong they gave him straight oxygen and he was fine! (Reason for 4stars)Thank the lord! But I do have to say Erriene (sry on spelling) is a great lady, shes always on top of the appointments and if a spot comes open calls to get us in for better timeout day that fits our needs! Always so nice and informational as well! And Kyla(sry if misspell) is great! Always so nice and happy

I love this place! -- best dental experiences I have ever had! The staff are very polite, helpful, and friendly and the doctors are patient and very personable. I was so relaxed during my last visit (getting multiple fillings in one visit, so not a short appointment!), that I fell asleep for a few seconds in the chair. That has never happened before -- usually, Im very tense and nervous during dental appointments. Im so happy with my teeth -- great job on the fillings and my teeth look awesome now! I love smiling!

Needed to have an emergency tooth extraction, I called on the morning of Nov 8th, they got me in the same day , the staff was very nice and understanding of my pain , Dr Packer and his assistant Jennifer did an excellent job making sure i was comfortable and wasnt in pain during the oral surgery and talked me through every step so i knew what to expect during the procedure , I would highly recommend them and I will be using The Smile Department for all my future dental needs!

I was a fan of this dental office until my run in with Barb this morning... Im almost 30 years old and for some reason she feels it necessary to be in contact with my father to book and confirm appointments. Then she has the nerve to treat me like an irresponsible adult when i dont show up to an appointment. When i told her i was frustrated and thought i might find a new dentist, her response was "great".

Im not one for dentist offices but I can honestly say this visit was nothing less then extraordinary. The staff, the doctors where so kind and very on point. Thay made me feel as if I have known them all for years. Made me feel right at home. And the care was gentle and so pleasing. I will go back there from here on out and I recommend thisdental office to any one.

New to area. They have worked great with my special needs son, taking the extra time to spread out the appointments. They got us in quick. The ladies at the desk are so very polite. I dont see them treat this with Medicaid any different than those with regular insurance. That has been very refreshing. My family of 5 all go here. I recommend it strongly.

The smile deoartment was amazing! Every staff member I encountered was kind and helpful and interested in not only your teeth but also in who you are. They were very gentle, as I have sensitive teeth, and I had a wonderful exoerience from the moment I stepped through the door. They will be my dentist of choice as long as I live within driving distance :)

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! Seriously!!! I called to see how much an extraction would be and they told me if its simple around $150 if its not than around $240 I didnt get any word about and x-ray fees at all so I get there and they wanted $380 for one tooth extraction....Hahahahaha! The most crooked dental office Ive ever encountered!

I hadnt been to a dentist in awhile because I couldnt find one I liked.. but they have Wonderful staff! I had a super quick and easy check up. I had my 2 month old daughter with me who got a little fussy but the ladies had no problem playing with her to keep her happy! I definitely will be doing all my dentistry here from now on!

I loved that they got my daughter in ASAP.. she had a dental ER on Friday and had an appt bright and early Morning day morning..the staff is caring and genuinely concerned and Dr. Ekhardt was great with my daughter and kept her in her comfort zone.. I would definitely let others know about them

Just like everyone I am a skeptic when it comes to dentists, but I am very impressed with The Smile Department. They were gentle with both of my children and do not use metal to fill teeth which is AWESOME. Thank you Smile Dept. You all are a breath of fresh air! :)

It was a great experience! Mr.Parker had to extract a broken tooth of mine and, even though I was nervous, he paused when I needed a break and talked me down and helped calm me as he did his work. He is really kind and Id recommend him for anyone. :)
