Inthe Moment
Ive seen Dr. Teachman two times now and both times felt rushed. I tried to show him an x-ray report that showed I have osteopenia and he just blew past it. I went to him to find out why Im so tired all the time. He ran some tests and told they were all normal but when I checked them myself on their patient portal, there were at least four tests that were at the very bottom of the standard range. And all four tests indicate malnutrition. Gee, maybe that might be why Im feeling so tired? But he didnt tell me that. He told me I must be depressed and needed to see a counselor. I told him I was already on anti-depressants! He didnt even bother to read my chart and see what meds I was already on! Office staff was nice and professional, though.

I was referred to Dr. Teachman from Doctors Care on James Island. He has some good reviews and I was looking forward to establishing a new PCP. My first visit was this morning and disappointing to say the least. Dr. Teachman rushed me through our consultation session with seemingly little interest in what I was saying, and tried to end it before I was finished relaying my medical background. He then forgot that he wanted me to give a blood sample and rushed me out the door. Thats not the kind of doctor I want to manage my healthcare needs. Im still looking for a new PCP in the Charleston area.

Dr. Teachman & his staff have been my loyal health providers for 5+ years. They are available to me anytime for all my healthcare needs. While he is a very busy doctor Ive never been treated unfairly. He is knowledgeable, professional with an excellent bedside manner. That is why Ive been his loyal patient for many years & have no desire to seek care elsewhere.

Dr. Teachman is kind, and truly looks for the best and healthiest way to treat his patients. He doesnt just write a prescription for you and send you on your way. He really cares, and follows up to see how you are doing. I would recommend him to everyone.
