This doctor has been my primary for years and I always had good experiences with the office, but over the last few years there has been a major decline. For example, I called the office to tell them I needed authorization for a medication refill and they stated I needed an appointment to get it. I told the office girl that I had no insurance and asked her why I need an appointment to get a refill on a non-narcotic drug that I have been taking for the last 10 years? She said that my drug is on the list for office visit for refill authorization. I asked what list and she was vague. Though she didnt give me a good answer, I said ok Ill make appointment. Once at the office for my appointment, I asked one of the office girls why I needed an appointment to get more refills on that medication. She didnt know and told me to ask the doctor. When I was finally called in, (for which I waited over an hour), I asked the nurse why. The nurse looked up my medication and said, "Honestly, I dont know why you have to have an office visit to get refills on this medication because it is non-narcotic. Make sure to ask the doctor." I asked the dr - an assoc of Toledano, why and he did not give me an answer, he instead spoke sarcastically to me - it seemed to me that he was mad that I asked him - he had an attitude like, how dare you question me - Im the doctor and above you. He would not answer my question, which I thought was a simple and straight forward question. So I said, "I am not going to sit here while you berate me, Ill get my script from another doctor." I left and went to check out. He came after me and gave me the prescription. After that, I placed many calls to the office to have Dr. Toledano call me back. I wanted to speak to him about my experience and have him explain to me why I had to have a dr visit and pay $75.00 out of pocket to get my prescription filled. He never returned my call, so I made an appointment with him (after I got health insurance.) I then asked him my question - he doubled talked me and wouldnt let me speak until he confused me to where I had to think about what he just said, then he concluded the visit and after he left the room and was already with another patient, I realized that he did not give me an answer to my question at all. So, naturally, I formed my own conclusion that is the prescribing of this medication does not require the patient to be seen by the dr, since I was not asked any questions nor given any form to fill out, nor were any tests performed on me before the dr gave me the prescription. Another problem, I saw the dr and he prescribed a medication for me. Then the pharmacy called me and stated that the insurance company wants the doctor to fill out a form before they can give me the medication. The pharmacy faxed the doctors office several times and I called the office several times to get them to fill out the form and fax back to CVS. It has been over a month since the prescription was given to the pharmacy to fill out and still the drs office has yet to take care of this. I just hung up with the drs office and she assured me (again) that she will fill out the form and send back to pharmacy. (That one call took 26 minutes because of long hold time.) She just called me back and stated what the reason why the pharmacy cant fill the prescription. I stated "Yes. That has been the situation since the beginning, which is what I have been telling your office." Then she apologized and said she would talk to the doctor about completing the form for the insurance company. She came back to the phone and stated that the doctor said I should take a different medication and she couldnt tell me why or discuss with me how the med works and any possible side affects because shes not a doctor, but I assume, me taking another medication instead of the first is easier for the doctor. Well, Ill try the second one because I desperately need a med by now - its been almost 2 months. And Im getting another primary care doctor.

I reluctantly made an appointment with Dr. Toledanos office as the reviews on Google and Yelp rated him poorly. I was assured I would see a Doctor. I was welcomed by a kind receptionist that did all of my intake and basic vitals. Anyways I ended up seeing his Physician Assistant. I was brought to the understanding that I was seeing the doctor. She examined me and all was well. We went over the medications I took as I was do for refills. She exclaimed to me that she could only write several of my medications as the others had to be written by the Doctor which was fine. I felt inconvenienced but made a follow up appointment to see the Doctor the following week. Today was my appointment. Again I did my intake with the kind receptionist and was quickly ushered to enter the examination room. The Doctor greated me quickly. We went over the medications that the assistance could not write me and I told him Im here to have them prescribed. He told me he could write me four medications as he directed me to see other doctors as he could not write them. I was brought to the understanding that when I saw the assistant, she directed me to make another appointment to se the Doctor, that he "WOULD" be able to write me the prescriptions I have been taking for years. I am livid that he hired an assistant that gave me erroneous information and he accepted no responsibility to even say he and his assistant was wrong! I wasted two hours with this Doctor! Do not goto this office! His assistant gave me wrong information, promised something would be done and was not. And worse off the Doctor even hired this woman. I have seen a prior internist that has prescribed me the medications for years and this Doctor told me he couldnt write anything that I needed. I will contact my insurance company to report this and make sure I will not be billed! In short, given wrong medical information and I had to make a useless appointment that wasted my time!

My experience here is very positive each and every time . I have been in this office 5-6 times . I have waited on average 20 minutes each time ( pretty normal ) What i like is they are all friendly or everyone that i have interacted with . The other thing is i had two occasions where i needed to see a Dr that day and it was NO problem , If your Dr is not there for whatever reason - there sill be someone to see you without an issue . And with prescriptions which seems to be an issue in some offices , it went smoothy , quickly . They also can and will do blood work there or send you next door where there is no wait either . So I do not have to drive across town to Quest . Lastly i go to the Galt Ocean office because it s large and easy for me to find and I think they have the most Drsthere at any given time. Every experience and trip to this place has been easy
