Ive tried to get through to someone at Johnston-Willis, billing, and I can not. So, im going to post a review here, because I want this matter, resolved. I had hernia surgery performed at J-W, 2 months ago. And prior to the surgery, my fiance and I were told that our out of pocket expenses, would be $790. Period. Done. 4 times, her and I, were told this! And that we needed to pay as much as we could, toward the total, prior to surgery and would be billed the remaining balance, in a few weeks. And after we got the bill, call J-W, immediately and setup a payment plan, for the remaining balance. $150 of the $790, was paid the day of the surgery, so that left a balance of $640. Low and behold, I get a bill in the mail from J-W, for a whopping $1,698.84! Thats $1,058.84 more than J-W quoted (my remaining balance), 4 times, prior to the surgery and im not paying it! I could have gotten this procedure done in Washington, for $500! But because of the inconvenience of messing with DC and J-W being only 15 minutes away, we decided to pay the extra money and be done with it. Im not going to let J-W ruin my opportunity to get this surgery done for $500, because they cant honor their $790 quote. Not going to happen! Toy with somebody elses finances, because youre not going to toy with mine. I will gladly start paying down the $640 balance, that should be left on my bill. But, I am not giving you an extra $1,050.84, just because you think you can charge it. This is sickening behavior.

Went to ER for back spasms. The nurses and doctor were all very nice and professional. Did not have to a long wait or stay and was happy with the Dr.s treatment plan. The area did not appear very clean, or maybe just old and cluttered. I called the ER 12 hours after my discharge on the same date of discharge because I realized I was not given my doctors note for work. Sonya, the charge nurse, refused to accommodate me saying that "we do not provide doctors notes for previous visits" mind you, its the same day, 12 hours later. Even when I pointed that and the fact that I was told I would get one , and they probably just forgot, she still refused to even attempt to help. I, as a nurse, who is big on customer service, would have offered to leave a note for the physician, or see if another physician was willing to do it (some are picky and wont for a patient they havent seen). So let me get this right?... I will end up paying around $1-2,000 for my visit, in which I was told I would get a note, I call back 12 hours later, and you refuse to provide it to me???? Sonya needs a day off, and if that doesnt help, she needs re-training in customer service. I called the nursing supervisor and am waiting on a return call. She, at least, was not rude. appeared to want to try and help, unlike Sonya.

Hello! I went to the ER because I was getting dizzy and very exhausted, other problems as well. I was seen first by an interm and than a nurse practitioner came in and just followed up on the diagnosis of vertigo that the interm diagnosed me with. The interm looked in my eyes than shook my head up and down left and right, than asked me was I dizzy. The nurse practitioner came in and discharged me. After the nurse practitioner discharged me the nice nurse that I had came in with the discharge paper. I had to ask how was my blood work she said " it was ok" I said it cant be okay because my blood is low. I than asked about my urinalysis. The nurse told me that it was okay and she than printed out the papers so that I can take with me. I looked at the urinalysis report and it said high keystones and protein in my urinalysis. I ask doesnt that spoke a red flag? I was than told by the nurse that Im a little dehydrated. My question is why send me home like that and also how many other patients get treated like this? I went to the ER on the 13 and Im still having the same symptoms, so now I need to go back to the ER and get seen again because I wasnt properly diagnose the first time. JOHNSTON WILLIS PLEASE STAND UP TO YOUR MISSION STATEMENT!!!! ITS NOT ALL ABOUT THE MONEY....

I was admitted to Johnston Willis Hospital LABOR AND DELIVERY UNIT this past week and the experience was something to remember. The nurses were absolutely AMAZING and took great care of me. Cherie RN, Angie, RN, Janice, RN, Christina, RN, and Kareen Moore, RN. My c- section surgical team was also outstanding, supportive, understanding and very sweet. I loved Dr. GAZONI (anesthesiologist)....she was AMAZING. She helped me through my entire surgery. I couldnt have done it without her. I never stayed in a hospital and felt so loved and right at home. My heart grew after meeting these individuals. I just wanted to let the world know that Johnston Willis did a wonderful job hiring the best team in the RDU area. Continue being the best nurses, Im your biggest fan! God Bless. Your patient, R. The Emergency Department at Johnston Willis is disgraceful. They rarely have a competent front desk person. The nurses are EXCELLENT! Sadly they are backed up by lazy careless doctors. God forbid there is something truly wrong with you. You will likely die at home after waiting hours to be seen and told your Ok. I visited with complaints about my ankle on a few seperate occasions. They first said it was a bone bruise, then heel spurs, and finally just sprained. After years of pain and knowing something felt wrong I went to see and orthopedist. Turns out I had been wabbling around with crushed bones in my foot for nearly 2 years. Thanks CJW. I would NEVER recommend them for urgent care!!!

My sister who has had a traumatic brain injury, and migrains for years now was treats so horribly. My sister was admitted for a migraine a couple days ago. Migraines are severe headaches, light and sound make them worse. The doctor comes in her hospital room and throws the blanket that was covering her face off on the ground, and yelled at her for not looking at her. My sister was in pain, and had the blanket covering her face so the light wouldnt make her headache worse. Then the tried to discharge her when she is still in a lot of pain. Awful.
