Sad...bad customer service! We have been going to Banfield Pet Hospital all over the country. This location has given us a bad experience. We had an appointment at 1800 on the 5th of May 2017, running a little late at 1807 we were told we would have to reschedule. After talking with a receptionist we were told it was Dr.Ashley Adair Duvall that made this decision. How pathetic that I put my furry family member through the anxiety of going to a Vet first of all, then to be turned away. We buy all our pet food, and all other pet supplies from Petsmart. We now feel both brands of Petsmart and Bandfield Pet Hospital have chosen to turn away what was a loyal life long customer. I understand scheduling...I also acknowledge customer service. For 7 minutes Dr.Ashley Adair Duvall made a choice that it would put her behind 7 minutes and that they close at 1900 with only one appointment behind us. Our working animal is due for utd shots. We asked for all our records in which nobody seemed to care! We received a call from a Nikkie at 1904 stating she was the office lead and how can she make it better. I say this Ms.Nikkie, your call to us came after we had left and was back home almost an hour later. It was under your watch? Your receptionist that did not care the least, your Vet Dr.Ashley Adair Duvall that mentioned you close at "7pm" did not care but yet your corporation found time to call us after hours? The 4 minutes you stayed to try to do damage control could have been avoided at the time we were there. Was it once realized we asked for our records? What gave you the impression a hour later that could have been resolved at the time of our appointment? We have waited numerous times after our scheduled appointment after checking in between 10 and 20 minutes to be seen by the Vet. ...7 minutes cost a lifetime customer at Petsmart, 7 minutes cost a lifetime patient at Banfield Pet Hospital. Bad customer service. If I could give less than 1 star I would...thank you

I want to warn others that this Pet Hospital is not kind to animals. I took my dog to his check up and asked that his nails get grinded down since that is how I prefer to keep them short. My poor dog became their next victim when an incompetent individual decided to butcher his paws in a poor attempt to shorten his nails. You would think the Vet would try to make it right l, but instead she supported the Vet Tech and the Vet told me his nails are black so they are hard to see where the nail bed begins... then told me the reason he is bleeding is because he is anxious and has an elevated blood pressure.. NO NO NO he doesnt bleed from blood pressure he bleeds from cutting into MULTIPLE nail beds. I would understand a mistake on one... let a mistake on one nail guide you for where to cut the rest..but this hospital feels its fine to hurt your animals and have no consideration to make it right. The vet only offered me to notate my dogs file or a free nail trimming on a future trip... as if I will ever let these cavemen and cavewomen touch my dog again. You are SUPPOSED to be a professional and you have proven to me you arent capable of caring for someones beloved pet. Take caution going to this location, there are plenty of better choices near by that will show your pet the love it deserves

If I could give no star I would. If I can strongly urge you never to take your pets to Banfield Pet Hospital. Let me just tell you a few of MANY bad experiences I have encountered at this location. Not only are you going to wait an extreme amount of time past your appointment time, but god forbid you get a different vet almost every time, and oh by the way each vet contradicts each other and says something different every time. First they put our cat on a prescription cat food, then another one for almost a year only to say after one year (different vet within the clinic) states "Thats not the food he should be on, he should be on this one". After we switched his food again, we went to the store today to buy some more food and guess what, they dont even make that food anymore....so now I cant even transition my cats food properly to the new food. On top of that, I have a picture of when I purchased a TOPICAL flea medication but the directions on the label said "Feed by mouth only Wow, Im glad i did not follow their instructions because my cat would most likely be dead by now. Have not even told you about our dog. Long story short our animals are no better than they were before, and the service and knowledge of the staff is absolutely terrible.

I set my puppy up for the Wellness plan (that in itself was a massively huge mistake because all I did was blow about $400 on unnecessary treatment for my dog). About six months later I received orders for deployment (Im in the Army) and left my dog under someone elses care, who has his own veterinarian for his own dogs. I went to Banfield late June of last year and informed them of this, asking to cancel my plan. After seeing that they still charged me on my card the next month, I called them via phone and once again told them of my situation, and once again asked to cancel my plan. They assured me everything was all settled and that my plan would be canceled, and that I owed nothing. Once again, they charged me the next month. At that point, I canceled the credit card they were using to charge me because they apparently didnt seem to get the message across the first two times, even though I was pretty clear. Now Banfield has reported me to a collection agency for unpaid dues. Seriously?! This has got to be, by far, the most incompetent group of individuals in existence. These people dont care about their customers or their pets--they just want to take you for everything youre worth. Avoid this place at all costs.

So you take your new puppy to them for their free evaluation coupon sent out by the AKC. Everything seems fine at first, the people seem friendly and the Doctor seems caring. But then they try to sell you everything under the sun. It is your new pet, so you love them and want the absolute best for them. But being a new puppy, how are you supposed to know what they need? So you take their advice and have the tests ran and buy the expensive meds. Afterwards we took our 9 week old lab to a Vet in Riverview and found everything Banfield did was completely un-necessary (except for the shots). However, they overcharged us for the shots, lab fees, and the meds! Wow the meds were unbelieveable. I asked if all this was absolutely necessary and they said yes. We walked out paying $180 after fighting the $200+ they wanted to charge us. Turns out all she needed was about $80 worth of shots at any standard Vet and no tests were necessary. This company should not be in business. They are deceptive and dishonest. We wrote to them and their headquarters in an attempt to resolve this matter and they did not even have the courtesy to respond to our letter. Do not trust them for anything.
