I admit to being a helicopter pet parent, but I make no apologies. When I moved back to Tampa, I took my dog to my family vet that we had been seeing for 20+ years (when it started it was a small, single doctor facility and now it is a large scale animal hospital with grooming/boarding/the works). I took my dog back twice for excessive ear scratching/itching. They prescribed some ear drops and the ears cleared up, briefly, each time. I had to take my dog back, and they prescribed the same thing. When I moved to Lutz, I took Copper to Dr. Clarke @ Pebble Creek AH and after a lab test, we found out Copper had a staph infection! After a few weeks of steroids and antibiotics, he was finally cured! Sure, it wasnt cheap, but the peace the mind I had knowing my dog was finally comfortable? Absolutely would do it again. Currently I am fostering a lovely lady, CJ. She came to me "fully vetted" with antibiotics, medicated bath shampoo, and eye drops. I have no doubt the rescue took her to a vet, but as a non-profit, watching expenses is important! After a month, there was little improvement, but I was anxious and with fostering a dog, you have to go through the rescue for approved expenses. She fell recently and that gave me the excuse I needed to take her to Pebble Creek (but on my own dime). After meeting with Dr. Clarke, I find she has an ear infection, the medicated shampoo was not the right kind (she needed antibiotic, not antifungal), she may have ruptured eardrums, and the fall has caused a torn ligament. My poor rent-a-dog! So, moving forward, I will treat the infections and we will look ahead to surgery for the ligament, but I am encouraging my sister and my dad to switch from the "family vet" to Pebble Creek and to Dr. Clarke. I cant speak for the other doctors there, but Dr. Clarke is thorough, very clear, and honest and I know my dog and rent-a-dog are in the best hands. As a helicopter pet parent, that peace of mind is priceless, and I know I get that when I take my pups to Pebble Creek.

Do not walk away, run from this place!!! Way overpriced and dishonest overall. They are just crooks and only care about your money. Their price list is obscene!!! You would need to get a second mortgage or sell your kidney to afford paying for their services. What is really mean about that place is that even if they know they cant help you, they would still offer to do unnecessary services at premium prices. Let me elaborate... I took my beloved pure breed cat to this clinic in the spring because the cat started losing appetite all of the sudden and lost a few pounds already. The vet checked the cat and told me she felt was some mass in the small intestines. They offered to perform all the exams including the blood work, x-ray, ultra-sound and biopsy which would cost me almost $2,000!!!!! That would not include any treatment, only the exams. My wife took the cat to another vet clinic and it cost us less than $400 to do the x-ray and ultrasound. They confirmed that it was intestinal cancer and there was no need for biopsy unless we wanted to know exactly what kind of cancer. The pricing was affordable, I regret that I have not gone to them much earlier to treat my cat. It was too late to do anything now and we put our baby to sleep yesterday, its not something that was easy to do, we are still devastated with our loss :( If you suspect or notice that there is something wrong with you pet - please dont delay, go to the hospital for examination, but dont go to Pebble Crooks Animal Hospital, there are better places out there. Thank you.

I LOVE this place. My family has had two dogs in the past 14 years since we have lived in Florida and they have taken them to Pebble Creek, and now I am taking my own puppy there. I love the people that work there. The staff members are fantastic and make you feel welcomed. About a year ago I moved out into my own apartment and I got a puppy. I needed to find a vet and one that was in my price range. I found one and the people were nice and the prices were good but I did not like the fact that they took my dog to a different room to examine her and I had to stay in the waiting area. When I asked about boarding they only came to check on the animals every other day and I was not comfortable with that. So I decided to take my puppy to Pebble Creek. Even though they are a little pricy the quality of care is well worth it. I am with my puppy when she gets examined they are kind to the animals, and they seem to really care. When I had to board my puppy for 2 weeks because I was on a cruise she was checked on every day, got play time three times a day and I was very comfortable knowing she was with great people that would take care of my puppy. I know a few other people who take their dogs here and wouldnt want to take them anywhere else. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The staff at Pebble Creek are the reason my sweet baby is alive. She ate some carpet and it ended up making her very sick and partially obstructing her digestive tract. I was terrified of surgery and wanted it to be a last resort. Dr Callahan is usually our primary, but she was out of town. Dr. Dutton jumped right on it and took point on my babys case and got me in right away. She had radiographs done and was hospitalized on fluids to see if she could pass it on her own. They did multiple sets of radiographs on her, and we hoped each day that it would have made progress, but day after day it still sat in her stomach. Dr. Clarke did an endoscopy on her three days later and was able to remove a huge chunk of the carpet from her stomach without even having to open her up! They gave me every option about how to move forward with her and they had the tools and staff education to try alternative techniques to exploratory surgery. The care and empathy the staff here shows is outstanding. They treated my baby as if she was one of theirs, sent me photos of her, and were always willing to give me updates on her. Im a helicopter mommy who will do anything for my pitty. Pebble Creek was the best choice the two of us could ever make.

If you want a vet clinic that stalks you -- then youve come to the right place. For every appointment you schedule they text, e-mail and call you to ask if youre coming. And if you reply to 1 of the 3 methods, they still send all the other communication out. This is complete overkill. On top of being a pest, this place is low quality. The front office staff are young kids who seem to desire nothing else than a paycheck. Their lack of empathy, organization and devotion to their jobs is abundantly evident. Every single time Ive made an appointment (Ive been there about 5 times now + nail trims every month) I have had to wait. Why even make an appointment? One specific time I went for a 6 month check-up and they didnt even have a room available. I waited half an hour for the vet tech to then decide to conduct the office visit in the lobby. So unprofessional. There was no privacy to make decisions because we were surrounded by other patrons. Sure they tout great amenities, but at the end of the day the quality and care is lacking. Ive only ever seen the vet once in over a year of attending this clinic. Time to move on.
