This vet is a scam! My first visit she charged me $800 for tests and supplies including a $50 bag of dog food (a week supply) and a $50 calming collar. Then she told me that I needed a $50 thunder shirt. None of the supplies she sold me worked. When I went back for the follow up she tried to sell me more dog food. I told her that it did not work. Her response was that I had to continue using it at $50 a week for 2 months before I would know if it worked. Then she gave me another $300 bill, without dog food. When I went back to re-fill a $50 medication the price changed to $170 and I was informed that she received the wrong dose the last time. I have wasted $800 (without a $200 a month "calming" dog food bill) and my dog is still suffering. The vet does not even know how much medication to give a dog????? The only thing that has been accomplished is lining the vets pockets.

We are new to Tampa and we were looking for a new vet. We went to another vet with my elderly dog and they were helpful in diagnosing her with pre-renal disease but not helpful in her treatment. The first vet would only give us the option of one diet, which was a large commercial kibble diet. Before her diagnosis our dog ate an organic all natural canine diet. We went to Harbourside Animal Hospital because we saw that Dr Hodge was open to alternative diets/health care. He also helped diagnose that out dog had pancreatitis, which the other vet failed to mention. He gave our dog a medicine to help settle her stomach and gave us a few options for diet and also recommended a few supplements to aid in her kidney health. We were so pleased and would not ever hesitate to recommend Dr Hodges to any pet owner that truly cares for their animal like a family member.

I have been looking for an integrative vet that I can trust with an understanding of holistic health care; combining the best of Chinese Medicine, & other alternative health practices, along with traditional medicine when needed. I think that Big Pharma has influenced veterinarian medicine as much as our health care system. Do we really need all those vaccinations yearly? & other drugs?? I love the understanding of herbal remedies..when the vet does know what he/she is talking about. Dr. Hodge truly seems to understand those processes associated with Chinese Medicine, treating the whole body & not just treating the "disease" of diagnosis! Dr. Hodge & his entire staff seem to really care about their pet clients & their owners. I am giving this Animal Hospital very high marks. It is challenging to find this kind of vet..

I am a crazy dog mom, my dogs pain/sickness is my anxiety! I was put at ease the moment I walked through the doors of Harbourside Animal Hospital. I have meet both Drs. and trust them 100% with Jacksons care. We are currently working through a medical issue and Dr. Hodge took the time to talk me through the entire process. We may need to do xrays and I have had them priced in three different places and hands down the best is with Habourside. You cant bet amazing care and great value. Also, and super important since I talk to them on the phone and prior to seeing the Dr. the staff, Tabitha and AJ are great and very knowledgeable.

Wonderful experience taking my dog Maggie there to treat an ear infection. Dr. Hodge was very informative and great with her! The rest of the staff was great too; very informative,friendly and attentive. Prices were very reasonable and are provided before the services are performed so you know what to expect. The exam seemed very thorough and detailed, along with the report notes they give to you (and send via e-mail). Overall, great first experience and will definitely be taking Maggie there in the future. I highly recommend to anyone.

We have been going to Harbourside Animal Hospital since they opened and love Drs. Hodge & Drew, and the wonderful team of vet technicians (& Edwin too)! Unfortunately, my dog has sever hip dysplasia and is getting weak as of late, but I was happy to learn that Harbourside Animal Hospital is one of the few places in South Tampa that offers laser therapy for our pets. I have been very happy with the laser therapy sessions and hope that my Patrick will be feeling better soon! Thanks for all that you guys do for my boys!

After being written off by two other vets as being "overconcerned" about my puppys symptoms, I finally visited Harbourside Animal Hospital. Dr. Hodge, Tabitha and Edwin were all so friendly, professional and expressed genuine interest in my concerns. If youre looking for a small practice where the attention is solely focused on you and your pet, I highly recommend visiting Harbourside Animal Hospital. They are fabulous and really love what they do. Its also a beautiful facility!

My dog has some health and major anxiety issues so I was concerned when moving about finding a good vet but Dr. Hodge put my mind at ease with our visit to him. He and Tabitha could not have made it a better experience, they were both wonderful with my little Maltese and spent ample time going through her issues (previous history and current concerns) with me. I highly recommend Harbourside Animal Hospital! The veterinarians are thorough and provide detailed information and recommendations for your pet. They make sure to ease your pets discomfort during undesirable components (e.g., shots) of the examination.with treats and Cheese Wiz. The technician/front desk manager is extremely helpful and very friendly. Your appointment begins promptly at the scheduled time and the office is very clean.

Agree with previous reviews that this clinic is nothing but a "CASH GRAB"! Unnecessary tests and way OVERPRICED services for the standard of care that they provide which is average at best. Will try to strong arm you into using their pharmacy which is a complete RIP-OFF!!! Many better options in the local area, steer clear of this clinic.

Dr Hodge has given our cat Shojo caring health care for about nine years (going on ten). Although the staff and Dr Hodge are professional, they have been giving caring concerned treatment to her. I would recommend Dr Hodges services to anyone who needed a veterinarian.

Wonderful, caring staff will make you feel welcome from the moment you step inside. They saw my dog same day for a broken toe. If you are anywhere in the city Id look no further. Lovely loft style decor.
