PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! My Dog was taken there last Wednesday because he needed a routine surgery to get a bone he shallowed removed. They told me the surgery went great and he was doing good. Dr Dan Markwalder performed the surgery. They let me pick him up the next day, my dog was barely moving and looked in distress. When i pointed that out to the vet there (Dr Emily Hubbard) she said that was "normal" and to just watch him. He was sent home with pain medication and a pain patch on his skin. When we arrived home i was told he can drink water, therefore i left him have some. Few minutes into drinking water he vomited. I called the office and told them Im bringing him back in. While back, the vet tech (Tom) and the vet (Dr Emily Hubbard) looked at my dog barely and just told me "he probably doesnt feel good because of the pain patch". Barely even examined him! I was sent home again with anti nausea medication. Two hours pass by, I can tell my dog is not feeling well so I call them again, this time I am told to fold his pain patch in half, so I did. About 2 hours later I can tell his breathing is not right so I rushed him to an emergency animal hospital but right before we got there he had passed away in my arms. The vet there told me she tried to do CPR but the bacterial infection in his stomach was too strong. He was not given antibiotics after the surgery, which was the cause of the infection. After speaking with other vets, they informed me it was "normal practice" to give him antibiotics not only during surgery but definitely after. The whole death of my angel could of been prevented if they followed "normal" and logical procedure. Not to mention actually cared enough to check everything when I brought him back in. To add insult to injury I called the office the day after his death to inform them of what happen, I spoke with Chris "the manager" not only was she disgusting rude and Unprofessional but right away without even knowing which dog I was talking about, claimed 0 responsibility and then told me one of the "partners" would call me back, still waiting. Absolutely horrible. Please save your pets.

I will say this: I may be the most difficult customer when it comes to my.puppies. I mean I bought them a stroller when they were 6 months old beaches I didnt want the salt to.crack their paws (I know I know I outgrew my new mom stage) but I needed to give u a background on how high my standards are when it.comes to the loves of my life and why you should believe.me when I saw ill never bring my girls anywhere else). I love Dr. Andersen and lola and vivy wont know another vet while shes in the area. I was the annoying new mom who had a million questions and she was the most amazingly patient doctor.and And walked me through everything I needed and every doctor there has been kind when I was pribably a psycho. I cant sing their praises enouand(and no im not related or a friend.) Trust ur loved one with them because they love them too! But you do need to know this before you go: they have dogs that walk around without a leash (ive never had a problem with either dog they are sweet but some may not like this) Theres a cat who chills too ( but again he doesnt do anything but lay there) You will probably wait past ur appointment time to be seen, like 15 or 20 min. ( I chall this up to being a doctors office anf honestly what doc office are you EVER seen on time. Its Its because they take time and talk to u during ur appointment!!) The only thing I may give a negative star for.is that I dont think theres a doctor on call at all times, past emergency medical I had I had to.take them to.emergency vet on.north ave but I know I.would have been.more.comfortable with someone or someplace who knows my dogs. Is it possible to make this happen????

Ive been taking my dog to Dr. Hammer for some time now. He would get his annual shots and checkups there, and he loved Dr. Hammer - always wagged his tail when he saw him. Dr. Hammer has seen my dog for his broken leg and even the checkups were for free unless material needed to be used to wrap his leg up. When my dog was attacked by another dog and spent the night at the ER, i knew that maybe Dr. Hammer would be able to tell me what needs to be done so i took my pet there for evaluation after i picked him up from the ER. I was told that my dog will stay with Dr. Hammer until the following day so they could perform surgery. I was waiting to get a call that everything went well and my dogs recovering. but i got a call that i never imagined I would receive - my dog died during the post-surgery x-rays because he got a cardiac arrest and Dr. Hammer nor his team were able to revive my dog. I trusted this facility with my pet since the day i brought him home. You cant expect me to believe that my dogs tiny little heart gave up after telling me that he performed so well during surgery - no breathing problems, no heart problems, nothing. If you cant perform an important surgery then i dont think i can trust this facility with another pet if i decide to get another dog. This is terrible - i cant believe my 2 year old Pomeranian is gone - and its all because of this surgery. I am deeply shocked, saddened and disappointed that Dr. Hammer wasnt able to save my beloved pet.

I was very surprised coming here for the 1st time - negatively ! First of all, we had appointment for 3pm and we were waiting 45minutes for the doctor. During this time in the waiting room they have dogs walking without the leash ! And my cat was so scared ! I asked them if they can take the dog and nobody reacts !! It is unbelievable.. Then when we finally go to see the doctor, he looked like he have no idea what he is doing, he did not listen to me when I try to explain what happened to my cat, then he started examination and his arms were shaking he could not keep the cat.. when they put needle into my cats body - "professional" doctor could not keep him and my cat run away ! Scared ! Finally !! They did blood test and they told me everything is ok. I show these results to another vet who said that these results show my cat has kidney disease ! How is that possible that this doctor said it is ok when cats are dying for kidneys !! I will never never again let this doctor see my cat ! I will tell everybody not to go there !

DONT COME HERE! THEY KILLED MY CAT! worst mistake I ever did was bringing my kitten to this place to get his shots, they quickly suggested vaccinations and the "all in one vaccine" I should have done my research since these people are scammers! All they care about is money, as soon as my kitten received it he wasnt the same not to mention it was extremely painful for him. When we got home he was depressed sluggish and sick looking, it changed his whole personality and no one could tell me whats wrong two years later I found out he had FIP. I had to put him down, the most hurtful thing, watching my cat dying. Later research because I had a gut feeling it was them, I came to find out feline leukemia vaccine can created equally serouse illness most common (FIP). So whether you cat has it already or not it weakens the immunity and leads them to this. Be EDUCATED and research truley WHAT and HOW much vaccines we need. My baby was a indoor cat, they knew this, and now I know he didnt need all those vaccines.
