Stay away from this place if you love your pet. I brought my dog for a full physical and to have his mouth cleaned due to a foul odor. Dr. Marks said he didnt need a cleaning but that my other dog, whose mouth seemed fine to me, did. I did as told but brought him back in a few months later and was lectured for waiting so long although I had called and was told by Dr. Marks "this is a dogs mouth, its always going to smell". Dr. Marks did a dental cleaning, removing flaps of skin which created pockets where whole grains of food got trapped. I called Dr. Marks because I thought this would lead to a bigger infection and was told to use a rag to wipe his mouth after eating. After a month, I took my dog back in because the pockets were obviously infected, and Dr. Marks had to remove teeth and bone and he was put on another round of antibiotics. A week after that, the anti-inflammatory medications and ice hadnt brought down the facial swelling and I noticed pus on the side of his lip from the outside which extended along a very cut up inside cheek. It seemed like the result of a sloppy surgery. I just really hurt for my poor dog. Dr. Rogers put him on yet another antibiotic and I started to see another vet. I also had another incident with my other dog where Dr. Marks drew up 2 syringes, one from a large, unlabeled bottle of pink fluid and another bottle and reached to inject my dog at which point I asked what medications he was using. Dr. Marks replied "If you dont move your hand, I will inject it into you" so I told him I still needed to know the names of the medications. He was obviously upset that I seemed to be questioning him and rattled off the generic names very quickly. Unfortunately, this did nothing for my dogs condition and about a month later, I took her to another vet who gave me a different diagnosis. Dr. Marks is an unsafe and cocky bully of a vet who doesnt know what hes doing and by my interactions with him, Im sure has caused undo illness to many other pets. I only wish Dr. Rogers had the sense to remove this man from his staff long ago knowing all that he had done to my dogs. My advice is not to go to a vet because they seem "ok" and will save you money. Eventually going back to fix their mistakes multiple times will cost you much more than if you had gone to a safe and prudent vet in the first place.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Called early this morning for an appointment for my cat who was urinating small amounts of blood for 1 day. I was the last appointment of the day and the Dr refused to do anything because it was "too late" (it was an hour before they closed!) I expressed my concerned that my cat was in pain and maybe we should begin some kind of treatment since we needed to reschedule for full treatment and the Dr refuses. I told him that this seemed neglectful - the Dr yelled at me that he "has been practicing longer then I have been alive and to get out of his office" HE KICKED ME OUT ! I was shocked ! He was just lazy and wanted to go home. I was a vet tech for 5 years and we never refused to help an animal in pain. You will get lazy veterinary care from a mean old man who refuses to help a cat in pain. Only my cat suffered from this situation, the animal he took an oath to help ! Disgraceful.

Dr. Rodgers is a very friendly genuinely caring person. He does a more thorough exam than much more expensive vet offices for a much more reasonable fee. I trust Dr. Rodgers and his staff for everything from routine visits to major surgeries on my two little papillons. Such caring hometown service is rare down here in South Florida.

I agree with papillonowner. I have been using Dr. Rodgers for over 15 years and you cannot find a more down to earth guy who really does enjoy what he does. The service from the whole staff is a reflection of his love for his job. Just so happens to be one of the least expensive vets around.

Great and friendly staff. Very accommodating and caring. Facility very clean and updated. Dr Rogers was very knowledgeable and down to earth. What I thought was going to be an outrageous vet bill turned out to be extremely reasonable. Sander has found himself a new vet.

Best vet! It was nice to have a vet really care about the best for your pet and not the most for his pocket! Everyone there is friendly and caring. Cant say enough good about this place!!! Best tip we ever received!
