We have been clients of Town & Country Animal Hospital for the past 24 years. Dr. Mordaunt is the most compassionate and thorough veterinarian with whom we have had experience. He and his staff are truly dedicated to the health of animals and it is very apparent that they have a genuine love for animals. The hospital offers the most services that I have ever seen in a veterinarians office. In addition to a full lab, they have a state-of-the-art surgical suite, a dentist extraordinaire and an excellent groomer who actually listens to the client’s requests rather than doing what HE wants to do. They will do everything possible to save an animal. For example, I am on high doses of Coumadin (a blood-thinner which is the same chemical used in rat poison). One day, I had taken my morning dose of several different medications and one of the Coumadin tablets must have dropped on the floor unnoticed. One of our dogs had Huntington’s Syndrome (where the animal has such a voracious appetite that they will eat anything in sight) and she, unfortunately ate the tablet. I had no idea until the following morning when she showed signs of overdose. They worked day and night to save our dog. There is a vet tech who stays overnight in a dormitory above the hospital. The tech comes down throughout the night to check on the hospitalized pets. Dr. Mordaunt actually called us in the middle of the night to get permission for a transfusion as it was a life-saving procedure. Over the years, we have either had our dogs die of old age and cancer. The staff was so compassionate and understanding each time by sending cards and a paw print in plaster as a remembrance of our beloved pets. We trust Town & Country Animal Hospital completely with our 4-legged family members and know that they are receiving the best of care possible.

My neighbor highly recommended this vet after I decided to get a dog for my family. They were with me every step of the way. The first dog I adopted was chipped and TCAH found the owners record. They help me return the dog to the owner and created a happy reunion. The second rescue was a puppy that head a severe heart murmur. This was not the right dog for my family and I decided to return him to the rescue for foster care. TCAH gave me a 2nd free exam and some free antibiotics for his runny nose. The staff then did a quick Internet search for similar American Bulldogs at Paws 4 You rescue and Broward Humane Society (BHS) to help me find a great pet for my family. My 7 year old twin boys could not stand another heart break after losing two dogs in less than a week. We went to BHS and looked at the dog the staff helped up find. We fell in love again and brought "Boone" home. I brought him into TCAH for my 3rd New Pet Exam and he passed as happy and healthy. They registered the rabies tag with my address and helped me with the info necessary to register the chip. The Vets took 20 minutes of him time to educate me about heart worms, fleas and ticks from a Florida point of view since the last dog I owned with in Iowa. We decided on a feeding schedule and they answered all my questions about bathing and nail trimming. I walked out out an hour later with all the information I needed to properly care for my new dog Boone. Their prices were reasonable as I would rather spend my money in my community than sending it to Wall Street via a big box retailer. The staff care as much as the Vets that work there and that is the trait of an exceptional business.

The best animal vet/hospital in town!!! My dog was sick (vomiting/diarrhea) for couple of days. We initially took her to another vet on bird road (which I strongly suggest ppl do not ever go there!) the doctor charged us a ridiculous amount for 2 days hospitalized+x ray+ultrasound and diagnosed her with hydronephrosis, the initial vet also strongly suggested to take out the kidney and told us surgery has to be done immediate and showed us a $4000 estimate. He said if not, my dog will die and her kidney would pop, and he also threaten us that my dog was so sick all because of the kidney issue. We also found out that the first Dr overlooked my dogs low platelet test and decided to do the surgery, which we found out late with Dr Mordaunts diagnosis, if we would let the first vet do the kidney surgery when my dog was in that bad condition, she would die!!!! Thank god, we went to get second opinion from Dr Mordaunt in town and country animal hospital, he was so patient and knowledgable. So we took our dog to Dr Mordaunt, he carefully diagnosed my dog and she recovered in 2 weeks without kidney surgery! I was so thankful that we made the right choice and left the 1st hospital. We were truly fortunate that Dr Mordaunt were my Dogs doctor. Overall, the hospital gave my dog excellent and compassionate care and addressed each of our concern. Doctors in town and country make us feel that our needs are important. Their entire office is dedicated to help us feel important. Love it!! If there is a 10 star! I will definitely rate it!!!

After trying many vets in Miami-Dade County over the past ten years, we switched to Town and Country three years ago and will never go anywhere else. We have seen Dr. K, Dr. Child and Dr. Mordaunt, and they are all excellent. I love that they work together and consult one another for difficult issues (of which my dogs have had quite a few). They are all very good at communicating what is going on with your dog, explaining it in plain, easy to understand language, giving fair and accurate pricing estimates, and doing excellent veterinary work. Dr. Mordaunt in particular is an incredibly skilled surgeon who has done an amazing job with my dogs even on complicated knee and hip surgeries for my giant English Mastiffs. They are all very patient, and always spend a lot of time explaining things to me, and advising me on available options. The staff is amazing, They are kind, helpful, patient, and they definitely love my dogs! I have a dog who has had to be hospitalized for many nights due to complicated surgical needs, and staff members never failed to call me regularly to update me, let me visit after work, and even went so far as to email me pictures and video of my dog while she was there. Their boarding staff is very good, too, and I like that they only board their patients (not random peoples dogs) so they know the pets and their temperaments. The vets and the staff at this practice go above and beyond the call of duty, and my family is grateful to them for their care, diligence, and skill.

Thank you Town & Country Animal Hospital (TCAH). It is like sending my dear one to the ‘Spa’! I rescued my sweet baby girl from the streets 15 years ago. I have been so blessed to have found TCAH through a friend who always brought her four-legged ‘family’ members to this facility. I went to see for myself, they took me on a facility-wide tour. I saw every nook and cranny of the facility. The staff – everyone- from the receptionist to the vet-techs to the veterinarians and the administrators, your pet will be treated and cared for as they would for their pets. I am serious; you would think that your pet was one of their own. The ‘parents’ of the pet (e.g., me) are treated equally with respect and care. Everyone there is personable and professional. I have received only the highest quality of medical care found nowhere else but at TCAH. There is no aggressive treatment, only what is medically necessary for collaboration with (you) the pet owner. My now elderly pet is traumatized by separation from me but they make her feel right at home. I am totally confident in her being there as she will receive the same care at TCAH as she would with me. Due to the pampering she gets every visit – annual visit, sick visits, boarding – she loves the folks there. Therefore, if she can feel comfortable and not anxious when she’s there, then you will see, they too will be your best choice for all your pet care needs. Blessings to you, Elizabeth Rall
