Let me just start by saying I am so used to writing negative reviews about restaurants and hotels that I dont even know how to begin to write a good one anymore. I just got back from my latest appointment at Gentle Dental in Arlington and I am so happy with my dentists, the staff and most importantly, my new smile, that I felt it warranted a positive review. Ive been so ashamed of my smile my entire life that I have spent thousands of of dollars trying to improve it elsewhere. I really wish that I had found this place years ago because what they accomplished in such a short period of time at such affordable, well-explained rates is unbelievable. I had some pretty extensive work done there and Im not just talking about a cleaning with a free toothbrush and a sticker. I have had root canals, extractions and implants (oh my!), followed by adult braces to complete my movie star smile, lol. Not once did it feel like I was being "up-sold" or "sales pitched", like I have experienced at other offices. They say that having an honest mechanic is worth its weight in gold, well I feel that now holds true to dentists too. I am so proud of my new smile that I can barely wipe it off my face, which for the most part is good but I probably look like a crazy person to others!

Although doctor Pivor is wonderful, his front desk staff is grossly incompetent. My son and I have remained there for 5 years despite numerous issues, canceled visits with no prior notice, inabilities to make appoinents, consistent over-an-hour wait times on top of our scheduled times. We remained because Dr.Pivor is an excellent dentist who does a good job. But after another scheduled visit, where I took time off work and took my son off school, and we were told at the office that they had a change of plans, I decided to seitch. There must be a competent dentist elsewhere who also has competent frontdesk workers - not just the ones who dress nicely and smile, but the ones who call ahead to notify clients of canceled appointments, who apologize for their mistakes, who are upfront about the wait times, and who work together as a team and all care and contribute. If you are a stay at home person with unlimited time who doesnt mind getting dental work done on a 3rd scheduled visit to which you showed up, 40 min after your scheduled time - this place will work for you, and you will have excellent actual dental work done. If you are a busy professional, who has to take fixed hours off work for any medical appointments, then stay away for sure.

Im not usually one to write reviews, but going to Gentle Dental of Arlington was such a great experience, I felt I must share it. Dr. Pivor is extremely knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable with my time and treatment there. He took the time to fully explain things, so that even someone like myself (who doesnt know the first thing about dentistry) would understand. He also took my main concerns into account, and didnt ramble off a list of work I needed. The staff was wonderful too! They were all so genuinely nice and so helpful. They gave me estimates for the work I needed and they were very flexible on my payments, which I really appreciated. I left there feeling very confident in my choice of dental practice. As I would think most people feel, the dentist is probably one of those things that keeps getting pushed off, " Ill call/do it later". But now that Ive been here, it will be a pleasure to come back. On a side note, the office was very clean and as I waited for my appointment, I was offered coffee or water. Everyone who was working there made eye contact and smiled at me, which made me feel noticed and important. This place is really a great, everyone should check it out!

A friend of mine referred me to Gentle Dental of Arlington. So glad I took her advice! My experience there was such a positive one, that I wanted to write this review. I needed to have two crowns. I was a little afraid, to put it mildy! Then I met Dr. Pivor. He sensed my tension and put me at ease. He answered all my questions and explained what he was doing each step of the way. I cant believe how painless this procedure was! I will be going back for my 2nd crown soon, without any fear! I also want to mention Michelle, and her front desk team who were so friendly and professional. I was impressed at how knowledgeable they were about all of my insurance and billing questions. I look forward to my next visit, and would recommend Dr. Pivor and his team to anyone who needs dental work of any kind! Thanks Doc!

I have been seeing Dr. Pivor for the last 10 months to have major dental work performed on my mouth. I had extensive bridgework and other repairs done to my teeth. I am somewhat dental phobic so an undertaking like this was a big deal to me. I have been nothing but impressed with Dr. Pivor and the whole office. From the very beginning consultation which he arranged to have on a Saturday at the end of the day with me and my parents, he was informative, direct, non-judgmental, and accommodating. Theres been minimal pain throughout the whole process (and I needed a LOT of work). The hygienists, assistants and front office staff have all been friendly and lovely to deal with. I no longer have the fear that plagued me to go to the dentist for a long time. I highly recommend them.

The doctors and staff at Gentle Dental of Arlington are spectacular. I have been a patient in the office for the past 7 or 8 years and always have a positive dental experience there. As far as dentists go, that had been impossible for me to say, until I found Gentle Dental of Arlington and Dr. Pivor! The staff are always friendly and professional. Dr. Pivor is the best dentist that I have ever seen. Every visit is painless. Im an anxious dental patient and after every visit, I always ask myself why I got so worked up in the first place...because they all made it super easy! The hygienists are great-I think Ive seen them all! I would and DO recommend Gentle Dental of Arlington to all of my family and friends.

I have had some of the worst dental care experiences in the past at the age of 51. Those experiences were so bad, that I stopped getting dental care. Recently, I had issues with my teeth. Serious issues resulting in an extraction of a bottom molar; a root canal and a couple of fillings. Gentle Dental took care of those issues ... none of them were pleasant, but, I cannot think of how they could not have been better [unless I was sedated]. Recently, I got a cleaning. And that was the best, most gentle, cleaning, I can ever recall. I plan to go back to this practice for the rest of my life; that said, a prescribed Valium would be nice before each appointment.

I’ve always had a fear of dentists. I had awful experience as a child. Before going to Gentle Dental of Arlington, I hadn’t been to a dentist in more than 25 years. I was always embarrassed of my smile, since, over the years, many of my teeth broke down. I broke a tooth and had a toothache. The pain forced me to make an appointment with a dentist. A friend recommended Dr. Pivor at Gentle Dental in Arlington. Dr. Pivor was professional, knowledgable and able to ease my anxiety. Over a period of several months, Dr. Pivor helped to fix my teeth and gave me a reason to smile. I now recommend all my friends and family to see him for their dental needs!
