This was my childs first pediatrician. I had nothing but decent experiences here, that was until, my son got sick and I took him here to see the doctor. She saw him for about 5 minutes max( not an exaggeration) and told me to get him some drops for congestion and a humidifier and some Vicks. Mind you even the nurse here at the office could hear him having trouble breathing. I knew then it was something more serious but I did what she asked. Unconvinced I reached out to my insurance nurses line. She only heard the same symptoms I told the doctor and him actually breathing in the background and told me to take him to the hospital right away. It turns out he had croup which is extremely dangerous to a baby his age. His airway was heavily restricted and God forbid he could have passed away because of it. Had I took the doctors advice he might have. He was hospitalized for two days in the ICU. Then at the end of it all I received a bill for this doctors services. You can imagine my displeasure.... It already took everything in me not to return to that office and tell her about herself, it was like adding insult to injury. Long story short I will not be returning there ever. I cant take the chance that if hes actually sick they may miss something again.

Usually I do not write reviews, but I just left my childs appointment and he was so happy! I would like for anyone that is reading these reviews to know that this place is spectacular and I highly recommend parents to bring their children here. Theres other locations other than Palmetto Bay, more convenience for everyone. The quality of their standards are great! The doctors, nurses, front desk and staff there makes my child feel more than comfortable attending his appointments. My child dislikes vaccines, but theyve always managed to show him the best attention and give him the best comfort that he does not cry in his visits but always leaves happy about his doctors visits. No child should ever feel afraid of visiting their doctor. Ive been to several other private doctors and lead me dissatisfied to where now I make sure that my child stays at pediatric associates for as long as he could. The wait time and actual doctors visit would be no longer than an hour and I would be out the door. There had only been 1 time when it was quite busy, though they managed to attend my child in a appropriate timely manner.

I switched to Pediatric Associates from a small one doctor practice. We switched due to insurance change, but was excited to take my 3 children here because of their numerous doctors, ability to visit any office, and online access to visits and history. Weve visited the office for 3 well visits and at least 3 sick visits and each time Ive had to wait about an hour (after my appt time) to be seen by the doctor. Then, when the doctor comes in...they hardly look up at the patient or parent. They are busy typing away on their laptop. Im sure they are typing notes from the visit, but it doesnt seem personable at all or look like they are really listening. For my daughters 1 year check up, the doctor seemed like she knew nothing about her history (which is all in her files). The nurses (and front desk) have mentioned how they get many complaints daily about the wait. I dread having to take my kids into this practice, the way things are here. I hope they get better soon or Ill be looking for a new pediatrician.

Dr Cordero is wonderful. I was going to a different location but one time had to make an appointment to the Palmetto Bay location because my child was sick. My child was seen by Dr Cordero and I immediately felt confidence in his judgement. I have been going to Palmetto Bay office since that day. A few months ago I was having trouble with one of my childs behavior in schooI. I searched for help with different proffessional without any resolution. I decided to seek help with Dr Cordero and he was able to diagnose my child with ADHD. He is been managing my childs treatment. I have never had any more complaints from the teacher and my child has receieved the Honor Roll twice!!! I wished I had seek help with Dr Cordero sooner.

I had a 9:20am appointment for my 4 month old daughter. I got there At 9:15am. No was there when I got there. 1 parent came in with 2 children about 10 minutes after me. They where called in 5 minutes after they arrived. I had still not been seen. 30 minutes went by and I got up and told me I would be next. No one else has come in. It was just my daughter. another 15 minutes went by (a total of 45 minutes) and I finally decided to leave... I am a reasonable person. If they were backed up, didnt have enough staff, or anything of that nature I would understand. But to have an empty waiting room and have you sitting there without any explanation or acknowledgement. That is unacceptable and unprofessional.

I love taking my kids to this office, the staff is very friendly and they make the visit very pleasant for my two boys.. Dr. Cordero is great , very knowledgeable, and patiently answers all my questions! ( i always have many lol) ....My 2 year old doesnt fuss as much as one would think about getting his vaccines, because the nurses are super friendly to him , and the best part is that i dont feel like im being pressured into getting vaccines!... The doctor has mentioned the importance of getting them , but is accepting of my delayed schedule! We are not anti vaccines by any means, we just dont get more then 1 at a time! Thank you Dr. Cordero and staff for always making our visit a good one! :)

Time to switch practice! Too busy and front desk staff have NO Customer Service knowledge! Since, its pretty much it for pediatric practice in the area.....They take advantage of the fact that the patients really have NO options. They got complacent and have NO care or pride in customer or patient care! Real Third World Service, typical lifestyle of Miami! Waiting time is almost 2 hrs. And not seen...... Its abusive they schedule an appointment every 5 mins... Unrealistic to take care of appointments and patients but a very good way to make money!

THIS IS MY THIRD DR OFFICE AND I HAVE TO SAY THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES IVE HAD WHEN IT COMES TO QUALITY CARE FOR MY CHILDREN. THE STAFF IS BEYOND LOVING & CARING. THEY MAKE SURE YOURE NOT IN NEED OF ANYTHING AND YOUR CHILD IS WELL TAKEN CARE OF WHILE IN THERE CARE. I ALSO LOVED THE FACT THAT THEY SHOWED THEY WERE NOT JUST THERE FOR A PAY CHECK. EACH STAF MEMBER THAT APPROACHED ME OF WALKED PASS WELCOMED ME AND MY KIDS. I WILL REFER THEM A MILLION TIMES IF I CAN. THANK YOU PEDIATRICS ASSOCIATES PALMETTO BAY!!!!

My children and I were given excellent service from the Doctor and staff. From the front desk personnel to nurses, great people and smiles. They make you feel really comfortable and they are conscientious of your time. I especially want to mention the gentlemen that works in the lab. He was really patient and gentle drawing blood from my children. I couldnt ask for a better experience. I wish I had been going here from when my children were first born. Great place and I highly recommend.
