My patience was really challenged. My appt was for 3. Receptionist explained there was a delay & I wouldnt be seen till 4. Came back & as I sat in waiting room, patients that came in after me were getting called back. I got called back only to sit in next waiting room. Once I did finally get in to see hygienist, I felt like I was a rush case. I counted 4 times my cleaning visit was interrupted by other staff stating the doctor is waiting for you on this case she just got done with. 1 interruption was where hygienist actually had to leave for 5 plus minutes. I felt my cleaning was hurried & the actual cleaning w/the metal instrument was harsh & at times painful. Felt my needs werent being met due to the fact she had to get back w/the previous patient. I was unaware the fluoride paste was an added cost of 30 something dollars. In my other dental visits (not here), fluoride was part of the treatment. If I had known, I would have not done the paste. I use prescription fluoride at home daily. Every patient should feel that they are the #1 priority on their visit. If that cannot be accomplished due to unforeseen patient issues that arise before my scheduled time, then I would encourage rescheduling so patient wont feel what I felt. If rescheduling doesnt have openings for 3 plus months, then I feel Aspen Dental should see the patient on a Saturday & staff stay after normal business day hours to accommodate the patient. Ive only been to Aspen Dental maybe 4 times & every time I just didnt feel comfortable. I gave it a fair shot in my opinion & I will not recommend Aspen Dental to anyone & will not be coming back.

I have not been to a dentist in a couple of years therefore I was nervous to go. My teeth are only getting worse and Aspen website states if you have any oral health worries or fears, you can feel comfortable sharing them. Well I wasn’t too comfortable with the dentist and its obvious I will need dentures. My consultation with him took about 5 minutes to tell me all the teeth need pulling and dentures is needed. I told him my jaw is swollen and hurts do I need antibiotics to help with the infection. He says in an unsympathetic tone your whole mouth is infected and we can pull it right now if you want. I told him I was nervous since its been a while. He didn’t offer any kind of comfort to ease my mind about pulling just one tooth. I can only imagine letting him pull 10 as suggested by him. When I told him I will get back to him about the one tooth he didn’t look happy. I almost felt like he was selling me something and I didn’t buy it. I was then taken to speak with the Financial Manager and he quoted an outrageous amount. I asked if we can do a payment plan. He said no I would have to apply with a finance company to pay for it. Needless to say I walked out disappointed. I was already embarrassed about my teeth and coming out of there some who made me feel worse.

My experience here was not pleasant. I arrived at 1:35 and didnt leave until 5:30. I went in to get a tooth pulled. The dentist examined my tooth and told me what I needed. I was pleased with the fact that he didnt pressure me into getting a whole lot of costly procedures that I didnt need. The prices were somewhat reasonable but the service I received was awful. The dentist was way too rough when pulling my tooth he yanked my head side to side and back forth until he got frustrated and told me (after cracking my infected tooth into pieces) that if I didnt comply he cant help me. So he was going to send me home in more pain than I was in from the jump. It was difficult to get out but it was unprofessional and inconsiderate to stand over me rolling your eyes every time I signaled for pain When he was done he threw down his tools threw a piece of gauze in my mouth and stormed out without a word. So yes Im pissed! Long wait, mean dentist with no compassion and techs are unsanitary going from patient to patient without washing hands and I was charged more than the amount quoted I was sent out in a bloody mess.. Ridiculous

Called Aspen Thur. Jan 21 for appt. to extract a tooth. Appt scheduled for Tue. the 26th. Advertised online price is $109.00 for first timers. They charged me $260.00 and called it an emergency visit??. 3 days later (Friday) I woke up with a dry socket and extreme pain therefore called Aspen for relief and they advised they were short handed and could not see me until Monday and to just take pain meds. until then. Have you ever had a dry socket!!!. Its Friday and now too embarrassed to call my local Dentist because I wanted to try the new Aspen Dental in Tyler. I arrived at Aspen Monday morning and greeted by Dr. Arif, he filled the socket in less than 30 seconds. I asked if that is all there is to it and he stated yes. I asked him why we could not have done this Friday and his comment was: If you have anymore trouble just call us and left the room. I was then escorted to the door. REALLY GREAT SERVICE!!! I will stick to my local caring (call anytime if you need me) dentist from now on. NO THANKS ASPEN DENTAL TYLER TX!!!!

They were very sweet and listened the first time! Then it went down hill from there. I have been about 6 times with an appointment and got sent home 3 times cause they were double booked. I live about an hour away and was not happy. Then I wasnt seen for 3 months because of scheduling issues. So when I went back they had refunded my financial service with the money not used and now cant get the rest of my work done, till I come up with the cash. I have paid my bill on time sine I got it witch was in March, never missed a payment, but they wont put the refund back on there. Also it took 3 time to get my crown done right and I have complained since March about not being able to eat on that side because it hurts sooooo bad, this Monday in October they have new people in there and they finally took a look at it and drilled the fillings down and now I can eat! Will not go back for the rest of my work witch is only 3 fillings.

Office staff was clueless when asked what the major cross street was to get to the office (Loop). Directions were almost impossible to follow for this newcomer to Tyler. The initial appointment was excellent. BUT scheduling was done incorrectly and this was discovered after I made the 90 mile round trip to the office so I had to make a second appointment and trip. That trip resulted in first not finding my appointment then finally seeing the hygienist. So from the first impressions Id never be able to recommend Aspen Dental. But the hygienist did a good job and was very professional. I think the front office personnel needs more and better training after all that is where the customer gets his first impression.
