(2/24/16) This is an update from our visit with one of our cats, again excellent! We took our "senior statesman", our 15 year old cat to see Dr. Arroyo for a HUGE ear cyst. The entire staff at Elite Vetrinary Care took excellent care of him and the charges were reasonable. (Im not used to taking our indoor cats to a vet so any money spent is not anticipated to be fair.) So another great experience we wanted to share - our vet in Southlake has taken time off from her practice and I do believe weve found a new home for our furbabies! Thanks Sherry, Dr. Arroyo, and all the staff! We rescued two dogs to foster from the Fort Worth Animal Shelter and their adoption fee included a well-check at several veterinarians. Elite Veterinary Care was the closest to where we live. Scheduling an appointment was simple and the receptionist (Sherry) was very nice. The facility is spotless inside, and nicely decorated. Upon arrival, the dogs medical records were reviewed with us by one of the techs and then our dogs were examined by Dr. Gary Arroyo. In a word, WOW! Both dogs received a thorough examination, both had URIs from the kennel, and Dr. Arroyo described their condition and his recommended treatment plan - and why. Dr. Arroyo explained things clearly, answered all questions, and quite frankly well be taking the dogs back for any medical care required while fostering to see him. Thank you Dr. Arroyo and staff! I wish I had read your review before I took my dog to have her teeth cleaned.. My dog is 13 year old maybe I shouldnt have taken her with the Dental but I paid a high price..let me tell you..Unfortunately after the Doctor cleaned her teeth he didnt give her pain pills so she didnt want to eat for a week (first days is ok because they are sore but after a week she still didnt accept nothing) and she had problems breathing I was scared and I took her to another Doctor who gave her the medicine (sore troath) and did all the test again because Elite veterinary Care didnt send the test result quickly so the new clinic did all again and I paid $215.00 for that, the Elite Veterinary doctor called me checking on my Dog but not until Tuesday and instead told me about the pain medicine he said " We are going to force her to eat with baby food", also I left my dogs urine sample on Friday and I had to wait until next Tuesday OMG ! I was mad because I had to wait for the result so I order it with the new Doctor. I am a very responsible person so when I received the Elite Veterinary Care bill $62.00 dlls I went to the office and told them all the problems I had with my dog due to the Doctors mistake, still when I called the Doctor and he said its ok wait, really was it ok ? .. I paid them the bill Happy ? I have been a client for almost 5 years but after this I wont be back. I have 3 dogs and none is going back there. The staff is great but the new Management care about BILLS, BILLS, High price, and the New Doctor Garry Lewis isnt the best option for my Dogs.

Where to begin , when we 1st started using Elite I loved the staff and trusted them , the vet we saw was a young pregnant lady and the vet tech an older man awesome sauce people . However our littlest one ended up getting ringworm at one point diagnosed and treated. Well several months later it came back so we took her back and saw a vet we had never seen before . He said she had been born with hareitary dog mange.. Started her on medication that increased dosage over time.. Well about wk 3 , we decided to get her fixed to prevent a it from returning in the future. I called the vet to get her heart worm meds and picked them up . Never once was I told not to give the heartorm meds due to possible over dose of my baby with the medication. Because the heartworm had the same medication in it as the other and in high doses for little dogs like my Bosty can be fatal and cause them to be parilyzed permanently . Well my little almost died of an over dose to the medication . We paid close to 1000 bucks for the ER visit. We will never ever use them again until that vet is gone .

Ive been taking my dogs here for a couple of years and have always been pleased with their care. Recently I took my English Bulldog Buddy in for a number of issues and he received 5 star treatment all the way. The vet and the techs went to work right away and fixed him up. He had a number of hotspots that required him to be trimmed and the vet had no problem getting her hands dirty while the techs prepped his meds. She diagnosed him with a number of ailments we were fighting to treat and offered new treatment options never shared with us before. I never felt judged for his current state and instead recieved professional care and new treatment options to addresses the disease, not just the symptoms. I am saddened to hear that the original doctor passed away, she too was great with Buddy. Im confident this office is in good hands and recommend any creature pay them a visit.

The vet who was here has passed away, sadly.... However, the vet tech Richard has been around for so long, he knows his stuff and is so kind and easy going. There have been a few vets here taking the docs place, and yesterday we saw Dr. James who diagnosed our dog with an allergy and was so helpful what to do for her in the future. The receptionist is SO friendly, a great place to take your pets. We spend a lot of time here since our youngest rat terrier does not know the meaning of taking it easy. She is always going at 100 miles per hour, so she does a lot of self induced damage to her hips and back. Different vets on different days, but all of them are very competent and caring.

This vet was more reasonable than all vets around them when I did a price comparison shopping for annual shots. Margo was really nice and helpful. Im choosing this vet because the price was approx. $20 cheaper Than Hurst Animal Clinic. However, when I got there $20 was worked back into the fee. So, next summer I will go to Hurst to compare services, because I was impress with their price and receptionist, too. We are leaving Advanced Animal Care Centre after 7yrs. They were EXCELLENT, but Im no longer willing to make the drive and pay the high fees for a wonderful atmosphere and experience. Its the economy....Everyone was nice to me and my dog at Elite.
