Last year was the first time I had ever taken my own dog to a vet. I was not aware of the "normal" practices of a yearly examination and as a result Dr. Hatt took advantage of me. I was told over the phone that the visit would be $80, and before I knew it the bill was just shy of $600! He administered what I later discovered to be unnecessary vaccinations and tests, and did not advise me as to their added cost before doing so. I suppose it is my own fault for being an ignorant early-20s girl at the time - I just want to warn others! I have heard that Oradell Animal Hospital is great for 24 hour emergency treatment and I would probably go there in that case in the future. But never again for a routine visit.

I bring my pets here because I live in the area but they charge you for every little thing. They checked my dogs ears very quickly and they charged me for it. Everywhere else it is part of a yearly check-up. The doctor asked if he could look in her ears and then it appears on my bill. They should really tell you what you are being charged for. This place is a rip off!! Other animal hospitals or clinics will be nicer and more caring not only to your pets but to your wallet too.

Oradell Hospital is the only place Ill take my turtles. Theyre the best and most knowledgeable vets i know. Its pricey, but for exotics, everyplace is. I have insurance for them so i get partial reimbursements. Theyve helped my turtles with egg laying, sicknesses, and also in an emergency situation. They answer all my questions and genuinely care about their patients.

It was not cheap, but the Dr Karlecke explained each procedure, and its cost. The Doctor took a great deal of time, and care examining my elderly cat, and was able to suggest a sensible course of treatment for his many ailments. The techs were competent and caring. I certainly recommend this practice.
