I honestly never wouldve thought by looking at this place that the staff would be so unprofessional..first off I had gotten there on time after getting lost and taking off 2 hrs off work to find out the psychiatrist wont see me b/c I didnt have the paper work filled out that was emailed to me..now I understand they have schedules, but if theres a patient has been mentally unstable and has SEVERE anger depression since childhood and crying having basically a mental breakdown in your waiting room b/c they need to be seen asap and get established and on medication you should make an arrangement or recommendation or something. He did NOTHING. And let me just say while this was happening the front desk lady was smirking and completely uncaring about it all she also had a rude demeanor with the whole time..how unprofessional and after the fact I saw a counselor who I had a scheduled session with and he was VERY COCKY..i say this with strong expression and uncomfortable to talk to. He kept asking me things about my financial life and it wasnt like he was trying to help he was asking how much my husband and i make an hr so you shouldnt still be living like that if you make this amount of money..also he wasnt very respectful about how I felt about talking about certain things and he wasnt very welcoming and thorough or friendly which is what I look fwrd in a counselor someone who I can talk to like a friend and wont judge me and will respect my feelings and my personal things and not be so judgmental and cocky..i strongly recommend looking else where.

I was at the very end of my rope, and after many years, gave in to doing anything, all in, that could help me. The other option was dismal. Anxiety so bad that I couldnt get off the bed. Depression so deep I was unable to function without a few naps a day. Suicide thoughts were daily. Anger and resentment ruled the day. My regular doctor in town made reference to the clinic for a few years. Fast forward, Meier Clinic proved to be a remarkable experience of learning and faith direction. Having been to every counseling center in my city over the years, I found this to be over - the - top different in that "staff" knew exactly what they were doing to help. I spent many weeks I didnt think I had available to me in life with them. I didnt feel I was getting anywhere for a few weeks. Then, all of a sudden, clarity. Having been home and productive now for 6 months, I rarely become anxious at all. Debilitating fear is reduced to concern. Anger is now a pathway to understanding. Im doing very well and am so happy for it. So are my wife and kids. I cannot explain how important seeking treatment is when at the end of the rope. I also can only say regarding Meier, that its my choice to drive 700 miles once a month for continued counseling. YES, they are that awesome.

Since the appointment was three months out, I missed it. I received a rather nasty threatening letter that if I did it again I wouldnt get another chance. They changed the next appointment via email, even though I called to make sure my info was correct. I informed the psychiatrist that I was looking to safely detox from alcohol. (I have been through Delerium tremens before). She refused what was to me a very low dosage of diazapam to counter the withdrawals. She also noted that if she could see me every two days she could do it. Even with my insurance a visit is over $70. Two days later I got a DWI. Thats what I get for trying to better myself through a clinic like this. LISTEN to your patients. Sometimes they know themselves better than you do. By the way, this wont be the last you hear from me.

Spoke to the intake person regarding potential sessions. She was incredibly rude and made me feel like I was wasting her time once we realized at the end of her questioning that my work schedule conflicted with operating hours. Horrible experience. Will not be trying to set up again.

I appreciate that God is put first in this business. The music while you wait is uplifting and inspiring. The staff are kind. I have only seen one doctor here, but she is amazing and knowledgeable about what she does.

John Nord cancels his group meeting. Typical of the lack of care & professionalism he exhibits. Look elsewhere for meaningful help.
