Very unprofessional and doesnt listen: Went to this therapist to have my son evaluated for ADHD. She spent only 30-40 minutes with him then brought me in to talk. She pretty much chastised me that entire time for deciding to homeschool this poor child that couldnt focus and told me I needed to have him in the public school system. She sent my sons pediatrician her report just for me to find out she diagnosed him with ODD and not ADHD and the pediatrician now wanted him referred immediately for is "aggression". WHAT?!?!?!? This is an extremely sweet child and now he has aggression problems? Not only that, this therapist put into her report that I, the mother, also needed therapy. For homeschooling my child? How is that the pediatricians business? I turned around and had a neurologist evaluate my son for 3K (!!) to undo what this therapist did. The neurologist actually spent time with my son and ACTUALLY TESTED HIM. Yes, he has severe attention and focus problems. ADHD! Thankfully someone knows how to do their job. I would not go to Helen under any circumstances. Youre better off waiting for someone elses schedule to open because shell screw you and your medical reports up and youll be stuck cleaning up her mess.

I too went to her because no one else in the area was readily available and had the exact same experience as another reviewer; and also believe there is a reason her schedule is open. She really likes to talk about herself instead of listening, uses assessments that are older than I, and is a poor time manager. I waited over an hour to see her and did not see her or anyone in her office. I then, and several times after, walked into her guest house (where she operates) and no one was there. I called on the phone multiple times to only leave voice mail with no returned call. No excuses. I was often left waiting for 30+ minutes so that Dr. Comeau could go get some coffee or use the restroom. Ridiculous. Her secretary arrives late and does not return calls. Multiple times during an appointment Dr. Comeau answers calls during my appointments. Incredibly rude! Avoid her and her practice at all costs.

She talks about herself instead of listening, uses out-dated assessments, and is a poor time manager. I had to wait over an hour to see her and did not get anything out of my appointments anyway; several times I walked into her guest house (where she operates) and no one was there until I called on the phone. I went to this doctor for help and did everything she told me to do to help my child. She reported me to Child Protective Services for neglect. If I was not concerned about my child I would never have taken him to a doctor in the first place. They interviewed us once and never contacted our references or us again. Do not let this happen to you. Do not take a chance with her.

I recently took her psych exam for admission into a criminal justice program. However, I was skeptic about her because of these reviews but, I passed and it was convenient. Dr. Comeau was kind and gave me every opportunity to speak. Very good psychologist.
