1 review 5.0 star rating 8/4/2016 I very rarely write reviews, especially non restaurant ones, but I feel compelled and obligated to do just that. I see that the majority of people have given MSPT a 5 star rating and I cannot stress enough how correct they are in their assessments. Quick background on why I was there and what I had done: I had shoulder surgery on Jan 20th with a torn labrum and had no idea what to expect really. The surgery went fine but the doctor said recovery time would be 6-12 months to get back to full strength. I started at MSPT 2 days after surgery and started with Shelly. She was honest and helpful and answered any questions and concerns I had regarding my surgery as well as my questions regarding physical therapy, again, I had NO idea what to expect. I was at ease after 1 session. I had Shelly for a good 2.5 months before she went out on leave. At this point I admittedly was a bit nervous since I had only used 1 person the whole time and was still in range of motion recovery mode. Given the times I liked to come my options were Tim and Caroline and I said that I would be fine with either or both since I wanted to ensure I could come at the time that I wanted. I ended up the last 4 months splitting time between both of them and I would have a hard time telling you which one was better because they were both superb and phenomenal. First off they are both super competent physical therapists, as well as Shelly, which given what you are coming for is clearly the top priority. Second, and this is the part that probably differentiates most therapists, is that the bedside manner of everyone there, from reception to the assistants to the therapists is genuine and caring. I cannot stress enough how great my time was there (and I cannot believe I am saying that about having to go to PT!) They knew exactly when to change my exercises, and did so regularly to help me progress, and always were able to find my greatest pain points to help alleviate my problems. In addition to the therapists that I listed above, I had a few "sub" sessions when I could not make my times with Jessica and Shane and even though my interaction with them from a medical standpoint was limited, the few sessions I had with them were also very beneficial and completely professional. I also cannot finish this review without commending the assistants. Jerry, Xavier, Kat in particular. There were others but those were the 3 that I dealt with the most. All 3 were watching me during my exercises and would give me tips and pointers if I were doing something incorrectly or if I looked like I was struggling. In addition, they are all very personable and an absolute joy to work with. The other support staff who deserve a ton of credit are the front desk, Liz and Nicole who bend over backwards to accommodate even the busiest of schedules and of course last but certainly not least, Camillo, the driver. If you live in the area they will pick you up between 7 and 4. In the first 6 weeks I was unable to walk without my shoulder hurtIng and Camillo was at my apartment on time always. Today was my last session and again I cannot believe that I am saying that I am somewhat sad to see it go as it was a positive experience. My shoulder is healed in the minimum time that my doctor thought it would be given my age and injury and I honestly have to say that I owe 99% of it to this staff and their ability to help me along in my rehabilitation. I would never hesitate to go back for anything and will ensure that anyone I am close to or know will use them in the future because trust is the most important thing you can have with people who handle your health, or your food! lol, and I put 100% trust in all of these guys.

I LOVE MILE SQUARE PHYSICAL THERAPY! I honestly dont even know where to begin, so lets just get right to it: the staff is amazing! From the PT Aides to the physical therapists themselves, and who can forget the lovely office managers at the front, Liz and Nicole - everyone works well together to make you feel at home. I feel like you can get treated for physical therapy at any location you choose, but if you wanted a place that effortlessly created that cozy and welcoming atmosphere, I recommend you check out Mile Square Physical Therapy in Hoboken. I had the pleasure of working with practically every PT there, which I say is a pretty good idea because each PT has their own approach to your case and the ideas become endless on how to treat your body. I tore a ligament in my left ankle and went to Mile Square for about 5 months. Caroline is probably my favorite PT there. She was direct with me and her level of expertise is commendable. The exercises and advisement shes given me are ones I still used today. Jessica is another favorite - shes a sweetheart! Enrique and Shelley are pretty boss - theyre the head honchos. When theyre around, its like "Oh damn, here comes Shelley/Enrique." Who can forget the compassionate PT aides? Xavier was one of the guys who was there most often with my schedule - great conversationalist and awesome personality. I loved Kat as well! Shes extremely friendly, and who doesnt love a bright smile? Jerry was beyond accommodating. He was always going above and beyond to look out for you and your needs. Javi was always fun to joke around with. All these guys created this feeling that you were going to get well soon and you had nothing more to worry about. I genuinely love the care, attention and professionalism experienced at Mile Square Physical Therapy. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming, cozy and highly experienced group of people to tend to your physical therapy needs. Special shoutout to Nicole and Liz - theyre the first persons to greet you, and the last persons to say goodbye. *cue romantic violin sounds*

When you go to physical therapy, you’re usually in pain and it is, undeniably, a painful process to get back to wellness, particularly after a knee replacement. But it’s also undeniable that some of the pain is diminished when you’re at a facility with a warm, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Mile Square fits that description. After my surgery, I was given in-home therapy and wasn’t sure where I would go for my out-patient therapy. I’d seen a couple of places prior to the surgery but wasn’t sold on either of them. My home therapist told me about Mile Square because I needed (1) a facility in the Hospital for Special Surgery network and (2) because they offer transport for patients in Hudson County. I am so happy I took her suggestion and upon my first visit I knew I’d found the right place for me. The facility in Jersey City is open, airy and immaculate. I immediately felt at home with the staff which is so friendly, kind and caring. The assistants are helpful in getting you set up for your exercise regimen and the therapists truly have healing hands. Unlike some places I’ve heard of where you’re given exercises and not much time with your therapist, the therapists at Mile Square really do invest time and energy with each patient to ensure that healing is taking place. They know that each patient is an individual and what works for one may not work for another so exercises and massage are tailored to each patient’s needs, pain tolerance, etc. The bottom line? It’s a fantastic place!
