My wife took our puppy to Econ River Animal Hospital today and I was astounded to hear of their unprofessional conduct, rude demeanor, and general roughness with our new puppy. We have been to a few vets at this point and are looking for a good solid one to use permanently. I typically consult online reviews as a good indicator of places to try, therefore I felt we should post our experience as I feel the current reviews do not accurately reflect our visit. Feel free to take our review as is and make your own decision, however we will not be returning. -The receptionist was very short and rude in the waiting room. My wife stood for a while waiting for someone to greet or reach out to her until she finally had to ask where she could sign in. She was snapped at and told she was in the wrong line. -The vet assistant, I believe a student, clipped our dogs toenails. This was fine, and I know she had no intention to do so, but this caused them to bleed. -Our dog was constantly stuffed full of treats as a way to keep her occupied without asking about any dietary or allergy restrictions. These caused her to have stomach issues and gas later on. -The vet held our dogs nose and mouth shut very roughly while it struggled so she could listen to its heart. That doesnt seem necessary. -My wife was constantly told by the primary vet, without provocation, which features of our new dog would disqualify her from being a show dog. This came across as very shallow and rude. We have no interest in showing our dog and got her purely for the family/companionship, so a slight under bite or bad pigmentation is of no concern to us. However, it is hard not to take offense when your vet is harping on your dogs appearance. -The vet was incredibly rude to her staff in front of customers and bashed our previous vets for any information that was mentioned that came from them. Overall, we would just brush aside a few of these issue, however when they all add up it amounted to a rather surprising and irritating vet visit. Granted there were a few employees at the business that were helpful and very friendly, but overall I would not suggest this as a steady vet based on the experience we had.

First I will say that I have used Dr. Lipari for 5 years and up until recently she has been wonderful however her level of care has drastically declined in the past few months. I few days ago I took my cat in for emergency medical treatment. He was lethargic, not eating and had an extremely low temp. Not only did I have to repeat my cats history to her, she constantly kept telling me how frazzeled she was and how tired she was feeling. This is NOT something I want to hear as my cat is so sick. Either way she charged me almost $200 with no real answers to my questions and no relief for my dying cat. The next morning it took 3 hrs for her to call me back with the blood work results and again she dodged my questions and was unclear in what direction she wanted to go with his treatment. She said he was at risk of slipping into in a coma and needed treatment "like yesterday" but then couldnt schedule him for that day. Come to find out the reason she did that is beacuse she was leaving at noon which left me feeling like she could not be bothered to treat my cat! I had to have my records transfered and have my cat put down by a new vet...truly an awful experience when you are trying to make such a hard decision. Look she used to be FANTASTIC...she knew your animal, was straight forward and answered your questions. I sent her a lot of business and I loved everyone there but recently her ability to meet those standards is lacking. If you plan to use her stay on top of your animal and be sure you are firm in getting your questions answered. I personally would never use her again.

I dont know where to start to express my gratitude for the quality of care offered to my pets by the Doctors & staff at this clinic! I boarded my two puppies during hurricane Irma. It was a hard decision, but one I knew would be best for my 16 week old puppies. Despite weather and stressful conditions, my babies were taken care of with the highest quality of attention. My little girl Bella, a 2lb PowderPuff, was not feeling well and her survival was not guaranteed due to her size, age, & severity of her symptoms. I received a phone call at 8am from Dr. Mole expressing his concerns & the best course of action to take in order to get my pup through this health crisis especially during the limitations being posed by hurricane Irma. After several exams, Dr. Mole decided her care required around the clock attention & he went as far as taking Bella to his home to provide the treatment she needed even through the storm. Words cannot express my gratitude for his sincere compassion & love for what he does. His care for his patients was not faced by any storm or inconvenience. Thank you falls short to anything I could say to the Doctor & his staff! Econ River Hospital is a highly professional establishment with a sincere desire to help & care for their patients. For anyone looking for a Veterinary office that is all about service, flexibility, and commitment to the health of their patients, this is the office you are looking for!!!

We brought our dog Samantha Jane in after a terrible accident, wherein she had compressed her spinal cord and had stopped breathing. Though we did CPR, we were very fortunate to find Dr. Lipari open on that fateful Saturday morning. When I walked in with basically my deceased best friend, she immediately set to work reviving Sammie. With the help of her decidated staff, they were able to save my dog, and although there was a long road to recovery, without Dr. Lipari all would have been lost. She was no less than a God-send that morning, and we have been loyal customers ever since. Though Sammie finally passed away in 2004, they have taken great care of our Ginger Marie, and we frequently use their great boarding service too! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! Thanks again Econ River Animal Hospital!

Dr. Lipari is the best vet Ive ever taken my cat to. Ive gone to see her a few times when kitty was sick. Every time I go she wastes no time figuring out why kitty was sick, and even before that her well-trained staff can usually figured it out. She always does a good job and never tries to push products or extra expenses. Its obvious from the minute you first interact with one of the nurses or techs there they genuinely care about animals. Kitty always gets scared when I take her anywhere, but the staff does their best to calm her down. I never have to worry my cat isnt getting the absolute best care. Even after moving further away I still drive the extra distance just to take my cat to Dr. Lipari. I wish I could leave all businesses feeling this satisfied! Thank you again, Dr. Lipari and staff!

Worst very experience in my life. Not sure if it is due to the Petland contract or their incompetence, but I have a puppy that has been sick for about a month and the vets have done very little (at best) to help. As a matter of fact they cleared the puppy to come home and the puppy had pneumonia. Knowing, that they are part of the package to help my poor sick puppy, they told me I could go elsewhere. they have lied, spoke to me in a condescending fashion, and I still have a sick puppy. I have a visit set up with another vet, but beware. They were very slowly killing my puppy. NO EXCUSE. UNPROFESSIONAL
