They are unprofessional and the OB doctors are unresponsive and driven by making money. The office has a horrible stench...smells like a teenage boys locker room. My first encounter with this practice was in 2013. I was looking for a new GYN because i my husband and I had just built a home in the area. I was put on Dr. Phylllis Cambells schedule. I had read reviews that she was cold but that was not my experience at all. I liked her matter-of-fact approach. I discussed fertility issues & she quickly sent me for testing. Fast forward to March 2014, I was 18 weeks pregnant. I was admitted to Howard County General for a dilated cervix. The first OB was my assigned OB from Signature, Dr. Tamara Means. She did not examine me for fear that my water would break. It was suggested by maternal fetal medicine that I be placed in Trendelenberg position to remove the pressure from my cervix. The next day I saw Dr. Louis Kokkinokos ( a Signature OB). He recommended that I be taken out of t-berg & that I could sit up but that I could not get out of bed. Each day of my hospital stay, I saw a different OB from Signature. Each Dr. gave me different information. They didnt communicate about my care. No one had a sound consensus of next steps. My condition worsened. On day 10 of my stay, I began to spot & have contractions. The next day, Dr. Dana Baras was the OB on staff from Signature. This turned out to be the worst day of my life. She examined me because the spotting continued although very light. During the examination, I felt a very uncomfortable pinching/pulling feeling. When she was done , she stated that my water had broken & I needed to be transported to labor & delivery. Several hours later at 20wks 1day, delivered my baby boy. With under developed lungs, he passed away 58min later. I went back to Dr. Baras for my 6wk postpartum appt. I explained I had pain in my side. She sent me for testing. When the results came in, she told me I had a fibroid the size of an orange that she could remove with outpatient surgery. I didnt feel comfortable with this so I had the results sent to my new maternal fetal medicine doctor. He said that I indeed had a fibroid but that it was OUTSIDE of my uterus & was the size of a grape. He suggested that it be left alone otherwise, surgery would make my cervix weaker. Remembering what my previous GYN told me "Doctors get paid to do surgery" I am certain that money was her motive. I also summized after reviewing my EOBs from my health insurance for my hospital stay, that on April 6, 2014, Dr. Dana Baras of Signature OB/GYN purposely broke my water & caused me to go into premature labor & ultimately lose my baby. She was the only doctor in the practice that was paid in excess of $20k for the delivery of my son!

This is the worst clinic and place I had been in my life. Dr. Sorayan when did my Pap smear open so hard my utero that rip out something inside. I start bleeding and tremendous pain. 3 days later I came back to the clinic, a nurse check on me and she told me "ignore it" . that day I went to other clinic and the Dr. Immediately treat me. Also, I had placenta previa and the Dr. Told me that I "CANT" have sex at all. Signature Obgyn NEVER mentioned something so important. I call them so angry and they said we sorry about that. Dr. Means said that she will take care of me. I was 20 weeks, She said that is time for my ultrasound, she said that I will find if my baby have down syndrome, and if all organs are ok. "I said I DO NOT want to know that, because I am having my baby do not matter what. "I just want to know the sex". She said ok, make an appointment there and they will tell you the sex. I went for the ultrasound, I said I want to know the sex of the baby. The stupid lady started the ultrasound, and took all long 20 minutes. I am sensitive to ultrasound. The baby was sleeping and the lady start punching my belly, I told her to stop that that was enough. She said almost done. They the Dr. Came and said your baby is ok and do not have Down syndrome. I was whatttt??? I told him I did not wanted to do all of this, so he said you in the wrong place then because that is what we do. If you only wanted to know the sex, I do not understand why they send you here, because that is something that they do there. Overall, the Signature Obgyn said that they are sorry again. Next day of the ultrasound I had a little inflammation where the lady were pushing my belly. I am 25 weeks now, and I still cry when I remember everything they had done to me. I am in other clinic now, but that place is the worst place I have been in my entire life including ( clubs, accidents, and everything) if you can save yourself of the emotional and body damage... Do it please!

I am 24 weeks pregnant and have been a patient at Signature Ob/Gyn for almost six months. Through seven appointments (one well woman with a doctor and six pregnancy check-ups with the midwives) I have had overwhelmingly positive experiences. All the practitioners I have seen have been kind, patient and happy to share their knowledge with me. I have never had difficulty getting an appointment. I even called one morning to ask if I could cancel and reschedule my appointment that afternoon and they were able to find me another appointment just two days later. The billing staff were also supportive, knowledgeable and generous with their time when I had an issue with my insurance paying for a certain test. I would strongly suggest taking the negative reviews here with a grain of salt. Womans health and pregnancy, in particular, are very stressful areas in many womens lives, their judgements concerning their providers often reflects that stress. It is also the case that womans healthcare in our country can be very difficult to operate from a financial standpoint, forcing doctors to take many more patients than they would prefer in order to pay for liability insurance, etc. OBGYN offices are, in my experience, universally busy and somewhat stressful places. The receptionists at Signature are, on the whole, extremely no nonsense (sometimes to the point of being unfriendly) and I can see how many people could interpret that as rudeness. It is also the case that I have had to wait 15 to 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be seen. The offices on the whole are not the most well appointed, or well organized I have ever experienced. These are the only reasons I am giving the practice as a whole four stars, the care has been professional and competent!

Mrs. NoraMalloy and Dr. Means are excellent! However I would NEVER recommend anyone here! The office manager is EXTREMELY rude!!! I called in today to ask about removing my own Mirena device since I couldnt make it to the doctors office. She was extremely cold hearted towards the fact that I need it removed due to the cysts that were found over 3 months ago! I originally came there before I went to the ER and they couldnt even locate it to remove it after they put it in!!! Since finding out I have made aplts to get it removed but failed to make them because I was depending on someone else. Fast forward to today, the operator transfer me to the office manager and she goes on and on about how have missed appts and how Im close to being discharged from the system. She continues on saying Im going to make an apt for you and you have to be here before 11am or you will not be seen! Now the voice recording said they close at 2pm today thats first. Secondly how can you schedule and appt for me without me agreeing?! How about I call back once I have reliable transportation! Well you may not be seen!! OK thats fine lady!!! I HAVE CYSTS ON MY OVARIES AND POSSIBLY MY CHEST BECAUSE OF MIRENA DO YOU THINK I HONESTLY CAFE ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN MY HEALTH RIGHT NOW???!!! She was so rude and unprofessional and inconsiderate to the fact that Im having a medical emergency!!! She couldve simp!y waited until I came to an appt to speak to me about that! Not stress me out more as Im scared for my life at the moment! I cried and vowed never again to go there as !long as that office manager is there!!! She needs a few notes on how to handle patients when they are having an emergency!!!
