I have been going to this clinic for 5 years, always paid my bills and have insurance. Last Friday I brought my dog in because is was acting lethargic and not eating. When I arrived to the West Suburban Clinic my dog was seen by a very nice vet. She could not find anything wrong with him but suggested a blood workup. I agreed. She took the blood and advised that one of the doctors will call me on Saturday because she is not in at that time. (with results) When I walked out to pay my bill 57.25 for exam and 155.50 for blood work. I was asked by one of the receptionists to pay my bill in full. I told her that I did not have enough money but would come back next week with full amount when I received my Social Security check. She replied new policy, no payment no blood work will be sent in. I stood there for a moment and one of the no expression robots said why are you waiting and I replied let me please see the vet. The vet came out, commented that she was just working there and not the manager and I would have to call the manager the next day (she was not in) and ask her to please send my dogs blood work out . I was very upset because I was being humiliated in the waiting room where there were other clients. I replied politely, dont send the blood work. I cannot handle begging an office manager for services for my dog. The vet then replied we will send it in. By that time I was completely a nervous wreck. I was called on Saturday by one of the robots, not a doctor, that blood was normal and she cut me off short. I tried to tell her that my dog had vomited and had diarrhreah when we got home. Bang went her phone with no reply. I wrote one of the owners of this clinic explaining what had happened and never even received a reply I dont know how people can react in this manner especially with the war and the economy. The robots must have thought this lady is 70 years old and might die before she pays her bill.

The staff is nice. There is one doctor that I hold personnally responsible for contributing to the death of my Beagle. Dr. Vidt was responsible for the care of my Beagle. He failed in many ways. We spent a lot of money on "suggestions" when that we are still in debt with. He misdiagnosed my beagle; therefore, without my knowledge he suffered for at least a year. Sadely, my Beagle Buddy, sounded like he has a cold all the time, suffered seizers, lost consciousness, and almost died right on my kitchen floor. I was panic stricken. Buddy always gave me a look like "Fix me mommy" "I dont know what is wrong with me" I, in a panic state trying to save his life, started taking him the other vets. I learned the HEARTBREAKING news that Buddy had a tumor (cancer) in his nose. On October 2, 2015 Buddy lost his battle with cancer. When I saw him for the last time, in a very weak state, so sleep deprised, and so scared. Buddy looked at me like "Mommy, you are here, I want to get better, I went to go home with you." I put my hands gently on his face and looked him in the eyes and said "Buddy, you can go home now. Thank you for being the BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPEND TO ME" I asked to staff to hurry and give him the shot so he wouldnt suffer anymore before he died. To this day, I dont know if they were successful. After a call was made to West Suburban Vet informing them of the type of news that is probably "just another day to them" I NEVER GOT A CALL FROM DR. VIDT TO EXPRESS ANY REGRETS OR CONDOLENCES. Therefore, Im sure, to this day, its business as usual at the clinic. My life will NEVER be the same without Buddy.

This is a great vet! They always take the time to listen to any and all concerns/questions. They also give you all the information you need to make decisions on your own about your pets healthcare. They never push you to do one thing or another. The staff is always so excited to see my pets and play with them and give them treats. All of the doctors are great. Only complaint would be that sometimes the wait time is a little long but that is to be expected given how much time they are willing to spend with each pet - they never rush you out the door for the next appointment. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

Dr. Main was incredibly helpful and clear when explaining what the problem was, including showing me an x-ray, explaining what he believed the issue was, and explaining what he would attempt to do to fix it. The staff was also incredibly helpful when I called in the next day to check in on Toby. Dr. Main was not in but they told me when to call him back, and gave me updates on everything they knew offhand, and kept gushing about how sweet he was. Id definitely recommend them!

This office was recommended to me by a friend just before we adopted our Min Pin. They have been nothing but fabulous from day one. Whether it was for standard checkups and shots, nail trims, or the pups broken leg - theyve always been kind, compassionate, patient, and so reasonably priced for the services offered. My dog loves Dr Muehrke, but is always in good hands with any of the docs. Highly recommended!

We always have the BEST experiences with WSV. The front desk staff is so kind (shout out to Kim, Lindsey, and Paul!!!) and the vet techs and vets are wonderful. Our dog always sees Dr. Murkee (spelling? sorry Dr. M!!!) and its like a little reunion every time we go... Our dog is SO excited to see everyone there! Grateful for such a wonderful place so close to home. :)
