Recently I had a very horrible experience when I took my dog to this clinic. Ive been using the clinic for over 2 years but never really realized how much they overcharged for services poorly completed. My dog had a skin infection saw one of the vets that gave him a shot and sent us on our way. Most of the conversation during the visit was about why I need to purchase their products as they are much better then any other brand purchased at other stores. Three weeks later, I went back because the infection never went away but got a lot worse. At this time I was charged again for visit which I complained about since they didnt do their job right the first time...! I was told that I will be charged only 50% of the visit cost plus the treatment. Different vet took the dog back shaved his hair where the irritation was gave him the same shot and told me Ill be getting antibiotics for the dog to take. This visit cost me $160 plus $62 for the first one which was completely ineffective and pointless. I was charged $47.50 for 14 antibiotic pills (200 mg cefpodoxime)that after checking other places charge less plus they can be bought over the counter without prescription. (Penicillin for adult at the pharmacy is approx. $7.00). I guess the vet that was in charge that day tried to be "smart" and make up for the 50% discount on the visit fee by overcharging me for the antibiotic. This place is a scam! they are in business of making $$$ not helping animals. Please stay away and do your research before you go in!!!! They lost a client after 2 years of overcharging and scamming. I know Im not the first or the last client this clinic treated this way. This place has s very poor business ethic as well as ladies up front in the reception lack proper customer service skills. Very disappointed ! Currently my dog has been seeing a different vet service (where the same pills cost $16.00 ) Also, the diagnosis has been much better as he needed allergy meds to further treat his condition. He is doing much better.:)

UGH!! Im listing my complaints-- 1. They overcharge and charge you for EVERYTHING. They are clearly in business to make money, and not to care for your pets. Their prices are higher than almost all the other vets in town. 2. They totally favor cats over dogs, which I think isnt right if youre trying to have a small animal practice for ALL small animals. 3. NO COMPASSION!!! AND RUDE!!! I brought my dog to see Dr. Carey and she didnt even introduce herself-- I didnt realize that she was the vet until she was gone because she was so aloof. I thought the vet tech was the doctor because she was nice and actually talked to me. Much to my surprise, she was not! 4. They were totally discriminatory to myself and my fully trained rottweiler. They made us sit on the other side of the room even though my rotty wasnt even barking. I had complete control of him, and they treated us like black sheep that shouldve been escorted in the side door as not to be seen. 5. She didnt explain anything about his neutering procedure-- which is pretty simple, but I needed to know specifics about after care. 6. When my moms dog was dying, Dr. Carey was nickeling and dimeing her for every cent- when she had spent thousands already trying to save the dog. Dr. Goodpasture was really nice and was trying to help my mom out- Dr. carey found out and made her charge my mom. I had a horrific experience. Dont take your dog here. Theyre awful.

My dog had swallowed something and was very sick and not eating for almost 2 weeks. We brought her to Careys and they took blood and xrayed and nothing came out.They charged a lot of money and gave us no answers. My dog was still sick so we brought her back several days later because we paid so much money for blood work and there was something clearly wrong with her. I had done some research and I had a list of questions for Dr. Carey and she became very defensive and began to tell me "Look, you want me to work my crystal ball on your dog and I cant because your questioning me", "you have no idea what you are talking about and your not letting me do my job" and she then proceeded to yell and become very angry; all I wanted were some clarifications and explanations. She is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. I have seen her interact with her staff as well and it is the same. She belittles them and grows very impatient. I am extremely disappointed in her service and feel she is not fit to work with individuals and aniamls. DO NOT GO HERE, I BEG YOU!!!!! I took my dog to another vet who helped me out extremely in Mokena.

The best vet. I have two dogs, one of which has chronic allergies, chronic ear infections, and a sensitive stomach so he has to have vet visits often. All of the doctors and staff are always very kind and helpful. I know if I call and ask a question it will be answered by a knowledgeable person. I live 45 mins away and it is worth the drive. I trust this vet and so do all my family and friends. My mother uses this vet for her three dogs and my boyfriends family uses them for her two dogs. None of us have a negative thing to say about them.

I have been bring my pets to Dr. Carey for almost a decade and absolutely love the services she and Dr. Goodpasture provide to my animals. She has always been extremely compassionate and attentive to my dogs and cats. She answers all of my questions and I have never felt rushed out of her office. The staff is great and I would never go anywhere else.
